China making AI cheap and widespread is a bane of USA

China is making AI cheap and widespread, which is the bane of USA AI companies whose aim is making AI into a money-spinning monopoly and ultimate mission, after having spent fortunes investing in AI models.

The USA Government can ban all Chinese AI apps, but the Global South is not going to follow suit. Maybe the Europeans will be forced to follow in the USA's footstep and cutting their noses to spite their faces. In the end the real losers are the USA and European AI consumers. They have to pay an arm and a leg to use USA mandated AI models, benefitting just the big tech giants inside the USA.

China is fortunate to have such a big market in the Global South that is still progressing and expanding with the BRI in place. These countries will benefit from infrastructures and investments by China. More than that is the de-dollarization agenda behind those projects. There is an alternative system that was never there before - trading without the US$ through the BRICS bloc.

Which is why there are so many widespread uncertainties regarding AI and data centers. The USA Government is all out to make sure that AI does not fail, as all its eggs are in one basket now.

China is just content to keep updated on tech developments, with AI among its many avenues for survival. China's manufacturing and dominance in many other fields will ensure it does not fall flat depending on just one particular sector. This is what is meant by self-reliance in everything, which is China's priority moving forward.

China puts its eggs in many baskets, and no country can attempt to make China collapse by blockading one sector. Even in energy, that China depended on in a big way, has been an attempt to cripple China's manufacturing with the war on Iran and the energy blockade in the Middle East. China had discounted that by sourcing energy from Russia, building huge hydro-electric generating facilities, building up its renewable energy infrastructures, construction many more nuclear power plants and expanding its oil storage facilities deep underground.

China builds to safeguard its future, not for vanity reasons, like building ballrooms, upgrading reflecting pools, placing names on monuments for posterity reasons, minting golden visa cards and coins in the hope that people will remember the enabler.

China's economy is said to grow at about 4.5% when it has many growth engines and products selling like hot cakes to the rest of the world, having trade surplus in the trillions. There are countries that could sell nothing except cowdung but claiming their economies are growing at 7 to 8%. The cowdung must be exceptionally valuable. Anyone believing in cowdung economy?

One particular country wants to overtake China in solar energy generation, talking big about manufacturing solar panels. It embarked on mass building of factories to build solar panels but soon found out it did not have the capacity to make enough solar cells and silicon based photovoltaic cells which comes mainly from China. China is not just a country that manufactures complete products but also a country that supplied raw materials for making things that factories in other country needs.

In China's context, over capacity is a good thing, a bonus in addition to providing its domestic consumers with all the cheap products. It gives China the luxury of reducing costs with its economy of scale that others could not afford.

You mean the country that claimed to be number one in everything? All talk only. Just good for a laugh. Only silly people take them seriously.
