Not long ago, anything untoward happening in the West was always China's CPC involved. Chinese spies were everywhere in the USA and Europe. Chinese products - quayside cranes, power transformers, solar panels, wind turbines, toilet seats, academics working in universities, Chinese workers in companies and even garlic were all spying for China. Every Tom, Dick and Harry was connected to the CPC, and every Chinese company in the USA and the West was likewise spying for the CPC. Tik Tok CEO, a Singaporean was accused of being a CPC member and therefore also spying for the CPC using Tik Tok as a front.
If the Iranians are really infiltrating so successfully into Western entities just like the Israelis, it really is a problem, right? Or is the so-called tight scrutiny by the West not working as well as it had been touted to be, letting the Iranians infiltrate. Which is which? The chicken or the eggs come first?

Why do people say that the pot is calling the kettle black? The USA is the country that is spying on everyone, even leaders of close allies like Germany and France. But it is all in the family, so no problem even if they are caught in compromising positions. The Germans and French are very co-operative and willing to tolerate, forgive and forget all that the USA is doing.
I do not know the possibility, but it looks like such action is one way of getting information for blackmailing leaders like Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron among others. Which is why they are so tolerant of the USA.
Now, allowing Huawei 5G network to be used in Germany, France, UK and Europe would probably deny the USA the ability to continue with the spying on their leaders, based on the 4G network. So, the mantra was and is Huawei is a national security risk. For whom? Denying the USA the ability to spy on others is a national security issue for the USA to continue having a hold on European leaders. The USA propaganda machine works so well, that the world does not have a counter and the propaganda sticks like everything else..
Putin said that what the USA did to others itself, it will accuse others of doing it to them. The USA can interfere in the internal affairs of others using the CIA and NGOs, but any other country cannot interfere or even comment about the USA, for example in its election. We all know the long running story about Putin interfering in the 2016 USA election that Trump won. Four years of investigating came up with nothing, and Saturday Night Live (SNL) comedy show had a field day making fun of the connection.
Actually, Trump was harping on the Chinese involvement after he lost the 2020 election. Russia and China are always the whipping boys for anything happening outside the normal in the USA. And the rednecks and hillbillies lapped it all up like a blockbuster movie.
What was the biggest lie they fabricated? It must be the WMD and chemical weapons in Iraq that resulted in the Iraq War. What was the truth? Nothing resembling the lies being fabricated. And the most wonderful thing was that the perpetrators got away scot-free.
That must be the modus operandi of the USA now being executed against Iran.
The biggest lie, they found America. Another biggest lie, they never genocide the Red Indians.
Another big lie was using the two bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese were already overstretched and collapsing and the USA was itching to test its nuclear arsenal. What an opportune time to do that with Japan. The right time, right place and right excuse to do so.
Another big lie was Maduro of Venezuela running s drug cartel and that boats were smuggling drugs into the USA.
Yet another big lie was Russia and China having eyes on Greenland and so the USA have to take it first. Why go through all the motion when Denmark was already willing to give Greenland to the USA despite earlier talk about Greenland not for sale. As I say, the Anglo-Saxon Whites are great scriptwriters. Credit to Hollywood.
