Now, no country is sure how much tariff they are paying, whether the 15% is over and above what is already negotiated. Everything is now hanging in the air, no clear indication of who gets what percentage and whether the earlier deal still stands. This is a move that was made obviously in contempt against the Supreme Court's decision, without much thought as to how it is going to be implemented. The question is will the 15% be yet pronounced as illegal. Then what?
Those countries that negotiated earlier with higher tariffs are wondering whether their tariffs are to be reduced to 15% or added on top. Those that are still negotiating are holding back not knowing what is happening and whether they will get a 15% deal which is to be the ceiling. Those that did not negotiate are counting their blessings that they did not do so and that waiting could be this beneficial. Those that did not negotiate are also probably waiting for the Supreme Court even the 15%. Then all hell is going to break lose.
Looks like uncivil war is breaking out.
