People are getting tired of the debate, the time spent arguing about Pritam Singh and his moral compass, a long running soap opera that I honestly do not bother to follow. I do not think Pritam Singh even asked to be nominated as leader of the opposition, a position bestowed by the PAP, which has now been taken away. I do not think it matters much as what is more important is his duty to his constituency.
Whether Pritam Singh is now suitable to be an opposition MP is up to the voters in Aljunied GRC to decide, not for the PAP to dictate. I think Pritam Singh even said that the verdict of the people's court is more important. I agree.

Whatever happens, Hougang is still the unsinkable aircraft carrier of the Workers Party. The more they try to sink it, the stronger it becomes. Come one, kill one is the war cry of Hougang people. Never underestimate the resolve to keep the aircraft carrier steady and afloat. MPs may change, but support never falters.
Right you are Anon 10.44
The PAP just like the UAssA the more they tried to bully and snuffed the Rest of the Singapore and the World the more they shall be isolated and scorned.
The Opposition Wards shall support the Opposition more.
Cheers
Just to add not only the Opposition Wards but also the PAP now held Wards that shall also leaned to the Opposition.
Cheers
Why not?
The loss of Pritam Singh as leader of the opposition is not a loss for the Worker's Party. It is just a loss of a title given by the PAP, not a loss of support for the Worker's Party.
On the contrary it may backfire on the PAP for overindulging in its long-standing agenda of trying to take down the WP. Singaporeans favor having an opposition, not a one-party rule forever. If the Workers Party fades away, it will be a fatal loss for Singaporeans. There is no substitute for the resulting consequence of trying to play with fire.
PS just loss his annual LO allowances which come from tax payer & given out by papies. Knowing sillyporean nothing will backfire on the papies, as long as they get voucher every year. Come next erection, papies will still maintain the majority and WP will still keep their few sits in parLeement. Changes will only happen when more sillyporean jobs are being replaced by "foreign talent".
At least a few seats better than no seat. From one seat to a few seats is still progress. How many years have we seen the country with just one or two opposition MPs. Back then, not even chicken wings or vouchers we given out.
As I would endeavor to say, a small step in Hougang is a big step into Aljunied and Sengkang. Who knows?
