Let me just give an example of China's relation with African countries. China has been helping African countries for decades in its fight against Western colonization, militarily and economically. When China was still dirt poor, it did not fail in its support for the Africans, even sending them food when its own citizens barely had enough. This has paid off for China, with many African countries highly appreciative of what China has done for them in the past. Which is why China now has a strong hold on raw materials in Africa and growing trade with African countries, expanding exponentially as they start developing with all the infrastructures constructed by China.
China builds and is repaid with access to raw materials in Africa, a win-win situation unlike in the past under Western colonization, exploited without the benefits to show. The West grew rich with all the theft of resources from countries they colonized, without giving back what is required in return. The Brits for example was reported to have stolen as much as US$45 trillion (US$ or Sterling?) from India during it colonization of the country, even shipping back food from India to feed its own while Indians were facing starvation.

I think China's plan is working perfectly, building bridges while the USA is destroying them. What is even more detrimental to the USA is that bridges destroyed by USA will be to China's advantage and give China the opportunity to take over. China must then say thank you to Trump for pushing more countries to its side.
The biggest strategic mistake of the USA must be pushing Russia towards China, a mistake of biblical proportions, just to support Ukraine. Russia was initially allied with the West, a member of the G8 and not on good terms with China, and yet with the blessing of heaven is now on the side of China.
The USA and EU are still bandying about further sanctions against Russia. Have they not yet seen the bottom of the sanctions barrel and is now scrapping the wood at the bottom that is going to fall out. They are just fooling themselves after three years of sanctioning. Have sanctions really work against the likes of Cuba, North Korea, Iran and Venezuela? Suffice to say, it made North Korea and Iran even stronger and more resolute.
That call by the USA about secondary sanctions by coercing countries to impose added tariffs on imports from China for its buying of Russian oil is falling on deaf ears. Who wants to be like the EU, sacrificing themselves for the USA by cutting their own noses to spite their faces. For all we know, losing the Chinese market in two-way trade may end up like the USA farmers, losing everything forever. That is a bridge that most countries just cannot be expected to cut off just to support the USA.
