Is Singapore a US colony ?

Can the US decide to grant permission to a third country to use Singapore facility ?

Australian and US military forces should integrate further under a “collective deterrence strategy” aimed at China’s rise, giving Canberra access to American operations in the Philippines, Singapore and Guam, a new report argues.

The allies should look at new “combined access arrangements” among a number of ways to strengthen “integrated deterrence” against Beijing’s growing assertiveness in the region, according to the report released by the Sydney-based United States Studies Centre on Friday.

“Greater Australian access to US operating locations in Guam, the Philippines and Singapore could significantly augment the Australian Defence Force’s strategic footprint,” says the report authored by Australia’s former consul general in Honolulu, Jane Hardy.

Washington operates a number of major military installations on Guam, a US territory, and has access to facilities in Singapore and the Philippines under a pair of security pacts.

Singapore has all the last 56 years of her pseudo independence been a running dog of the Whitemen, whether it's UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or Europe.

Her leaders' behaviour and actions tell it all.

From LKY to his son, there is barely any change in attitude, behaviour and policies.

Is Indonesia going to keep quiet about all this arrangement of allowing USA allies to use Singapore as a base to counter China? Singapore better be careful and watch it's step. A spit from each Indonesian is enough to sink the Island, big shoes or not and how many paper generals we have!

Indonesia and Malaysia will surely not allow Australia to cunning establish a military base in Singapore together with USA and UK.

Perhaps, the other ASEAN countries will also voice their objections because the critical principle that holds ASEAN together is the declaration of the Zone Of Peace and Neutrality and a Nuclear Free Zone.

If Singapore allows the nuclear submarines of Australia to use Singapore as its military base, for logistics and maintenance or whatever, ASEAN countries would likely stand up against Singapore.

If Red Dot goes into that arrangement, 'Konfrontasi' chapter two will surely be played. All hell will break loose.

A one man protest, holding a placard, needs a whole troop of riot police to handle. A drunk Indian created so much trouble in Little India that needed changes to rules all over the island regarding alcohol consumption.

With Myanmar now being provoked, will ASEAN be able to withstand the internal differences? If not, ASEAN will literally break ranks and fall into the trap hatched by the Evil Empire intent on causing turmoil in the region. And Australia will be their de facto Sheriff to control the divided herd.

Hatching the idea of allowing USA allies use of it's port facilities is a step in a very perilous direction for Singapore and will put ASEAN solidarity in tatters. If there was really such solidarity in the first place.

Tiny Singapore should find a long term solution to solve it survival issues. In history, tiny states can't survived for long, therefore many tiny states combined to become one country of size big enough not to fail. Smart leadership of Singapore should engineered a scheme to join a big country. Violence way should be avoided at all cost. Maybe there are ways to auction Singapore away to all countries interested to buy Singapore whole. Money received should equally split among Singaporeans. No need to implement wealth taxes suggested by LW.

Hahaha

Auctioning Singapore to the USA or Australia will start another Middle East style conflict between Singapore becoming the Israel of ASEAN against Indonesia, with Malaysia joining in to ensure it's demise. ASEAN will be no more.

Even during the formation of Malaysia, the Indonesians were not agreeable, not to talk of Singapore falling into the hands of the USA or Australia.

That will be a nightmare to comprehend.

What If Singapore Became A Western Power's Military Base?

Once Singapore becomes a military base of the Five Eye, China will not respond kindly. Even Russia will do something. The other ASEAN countries will not take it sitting down either.

The whole geopolitical situation in the region and world stage changes.

Singapore cannot tell the world that it is neutral anymore.

It cannot say it's balancing the superpowers anymore.

It has openly become an appendage of the Western Powers, specifically the White Supramacists, and therefore will be seen and treated by the Arab countries, ASEAN, China, India, Russia and North Korea as such.

What will those countries do?

1. Diplomatically, they may express disappointment, disapproval or displeasure. Some may sermon the Singapore Ambassador for consultation and questioning. Some may cut off diplomatic relationship altogether.

2. Trade and commerce. Some may boycott Singapore's exports or impose sanctions on Singapore's key exports/imports, especially China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

3. Sanctions. Sanctions may also be imposed on Temasek Holdings, GIC and their subsidiaries, and many Singapore key personnel, by China and Russia, even Indonesia and Malaysia.

4. Banking and Finance. Singapore's banking and financial institutions in other countries may be badly hit by new punitive restrictions imposed by retaliating host countries.

5. There are many other ways to skin a cat - the Singapore fat cat that has turned dangerous, nasty and confrontational.

So, in conclusion, the stakes for Singapore to allow the White Powers to make use of Singapore as their major staging area to launch military operations in Asia and South East Asia are very high and very risky.

Only cowardly fools will succumb to the White Supramacists pressure.

If that happens, the independence of Singapore over the last 56 years becomes null and void. All the nation building efforts simply gone to waste.

And Singapore's leadership will lose the trust and respect of their citizens and foreigners alike, forever!

Think 3 times before you act.

A brief survey over the last few months shows that Singaporeans are very concerned about the following (not in any order):

1. CECA, including job losses/displacements, fake qualifications, racism, FTA, social problems, etc

2. Covid-19, including Delta version, which vaccine? to vaccinate or not? re-infections, death, mental problems, lockdowns, etc.

3. MTF, including performance, confusing policies, social restrictions, hospital or home recovery, reopening of borders, government assistance, etc.

4. The Elected President, Ministers’ & Town Council Managers’ high salaries, performance (esp. in parliament), government secrets, etc.

4. CPF withdrawal, high cost but depreciating HDB value, etc.

5. Performance of opposition parties, esp. WP’s performance in parliament, their ability to cooperate and solve problems within the law/system, etc.

However, there is scant attention on closing of TOC and TRE (tentatively set for next Feb), or the leadership succession plan?

Are Singaporeans not concerned about having a public forum to voice their unhappiness?

What about the uncertainty that Singapore faces, in not having a clear leadership succession plan?
