China - From Land of little opportunities to Land of many possibilities

The country was poor, not many jobs available in an agrarian society without industrialisation and the modern factories. What were the jobs and occupation available?

The best jobs that paid well, and extremely well for the corrupted, were the govt officials. That was the dream of all the poor peasants. Study hard, became a govt official and the future would be made, fame and fortune and money. 升官发财。 The other available jobs would the civil service, iron rice bowl. Even the low level officials could provide a decent life for their families, and if they were willing to cahoot with the top officials, they too could be rich, as part of the cronyism of the govt service.

The rest of the people were likely to be farmers, planting and growing food in little plots of land to feed themselves, or they would be jobless. Then the cooks in the tea houses, the waiters, the salesmen peddling their wares, and pulling passengers in their two wheeler carts, or food delivery, and of course the cleaners and dishwashers. Village doctors, shop keepers were reasonable occupation, but they would not become rich.

There were also the merchants that made it rich travelling the silk routes and sailing the high seas. But there were not many professionals or PMET jobs around. Living was hard but bearable.

Then came the foreigners with the guns and cannons. And they took over the country. Most of the top jobs were taken over by foreigners. The one holding the real power were the foreigners. And the natives had to suck up to the foreigners to be their assistants and lackeys just to earn a living in their own country. The rich and powerful continued to live their decadent and corrupt lives. The quality of life of the people went down a few notches. New professions like bandits, cheats and conmen, thieves, kidnappers were aplenty when normal occupation were hard to come by.

Then came the peasant revolution. The corrupt officials and landlords were executed and a new order was established. It took decades to eradicate inequality and to rebuild a new order that is more egalitarian with the wealth spread wider and further down the social ladder.

70 years passed and a land that was lack of opportunities is now a land of many possibilities. The people could work hard and believe they could be better tomorrow. The land is theirs and they affectionately called it their motherland. No more foreigners be allowed to rule over them, to take the top jobs, especially those in the govt service or govt related companies. The country and jobs were for the people of a self respecting country. No need to suck up to foreigners, no need to disgrace themselves as less able than the foreigners, no need to depend on foreigners for expertise or to create jobs for their own people. No need to be cheated by fake talents.

Foreigners are allowed in the country but under their terms and laws. Foreigners were there to complement and to contribute in their own ways to the country, but not there to steal their jobs and their lunches. This is the pride of a self respecting people that believed in themselves, their ability to achieve greatness on their own steam. They do not have to be humiliated by foreigners in their own country. No foreigners would dare to have the audacity to tell them they have no talent and the foreigners were there, invited, to help them because they have no talent. Such shameful and self deprecating statements would never come out from the mouth of a proud civilisation that is equal to the best in the world.

They have created their own order in their own country and all the opportunities and possibilities for their people, and travelling the world with heads held high, with dignity not bought by paying themselves millions for doing nothing useful or worthy. They paid themselves pittance for what they contribute to their country, and uplifting the quality of life of their people to be the best in the world.

Their motherland is theirs, always theirs, and would not be taken over by foreigners, a land of endless opportunities and possibilities for them to pass on from generation to generation...not to pass to foreigners.

They will never invite foreigners to take over their country and the jobs of their citizens.

Over the last 25 years, the imbeciles of Singapore have been inviting foreigners to invade Singapore without firing a single shot.

Singapore is being taken over, in fact literally handing over in a golden platter, by long-term foreign enemies labelled as foreign talents by the selfish, greedy and treacherous imbeciles.

Our first generation of independence people took pains to slowly but steadily build up a tiny piece of rock into a first world country in 30 years. No other countries have ever done that yet. Even China, though in the last 30 years has progressed in leaps and bounds, has yet to reach the first world status since its independence 75 years ago.

It is very unfortunate that Singapore is now being taken over by foreigners who have flooded and invaded our country in a trojan horse disguised as CECA. And the imbeciles are still sleeping and having fantasy and orgasmic dreams. As long as they are made multi-millionaires within two years, and keep amassing their wealth and real estates, both local and international, they couldn't care what will become of Singapore in 50 years time.

These imbeciles are running the country to the ground. It is now quite clear that they are selling out the country, starting with selling of our strategic power installations as well as national icons such as NOL.

They are also squandering and sinking our national reserves into bottomless pits in highly risky and corrupted countries around the world.

When things start to falter, some of the traitors start to hand over their reign of power to pro-foreigners and ex-foreigners.

This is the sad state of affairs for Singaporeans - a small nation of 60% daft being led by 1% selfish and greedy people without foresight and without wisdom. Only full of arrogance, ego, haughtiness and ruthlessness.

Corection:

"Even China, though in the last 30 years has progressed in leaps and bounds, has yet to reach the first world status since its independence 75 years ago."

The above sentence hould read as:

"Even China, though in the last 30 years has progressed in leaps and bounds, has yet to reach the first world status since its formation of the People's Republic of China on 1st October 1949. 72 years ago."

China's 29 cases is touted as terrible and as though out of control. UK's more than 43,000 is not news and not a squeak. This is the kind of selective sensationalised reporting from the MSM. I guess the US$300 million is doing wonders.

Singapore's Mass News Media is way down in professional journalism. They are all government mouth-pieces that are heavily influenced and manipulated by foreign powers, especially EU, USA and UK.

From their reports and articles, one can easily see where they are coming from.

Prepare Strong Chinese Military For Future Wars With Western Nations

Facing the current intense security situation exacerbated by Western nations, China has to build a strong military to get well prepared for possible future wars.

Chinese President Xi Jinping urged efforts to break new ground in the development of the country's military weaponry and equipment at a military conference on weaponry and equipment-related work, which was held in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday.

Hailing the historic achievements in weaponry and equipment development over the past five years, Xi said the progress has served as the material and technological underpinning for the country's strategic capabilities, military strength in particular.

Xi called for efforts to accelerate the implementation of tasks for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) and advance the building of a modernized management system for weaponry and equipment.

That would entail efforts to create strong synergy in weaponry and equipment development, focus on the needs of national security, pay close attention to practical military preparedness, boost sci-tech self-reliance and self-improvement, aim for the world's top class, and speed up the modernization of weaponry and equipment.

Meanwhile, the U.S.’s top uniformed military officer called China’s suspected test of a hypersonic weapons system a “very concerning” development in the escalating competition between Washington and Beijing.

“What we saw was a very significant event of a test of a hypersonic weapon system. And it is very concerning,” General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in an interview for “The David Rubenstein Show. “I don’t know if it’s quite a Sputnik moment, but I think it’s very close to that. It has all of our attention.”

Milley’s comments are the most significant acknowledgment by a U.S. official of reports that China’s military conducted possibly two hypersonic weapons tests over the summer, including the launch into space of an orbiting hypersonic weapon capable of carrying a nuclear payload.

The next-generation technology, if perfected, could be used to send nuclear warheads over the South Pole and around American anti-missile systems in the northern hemisphere. Hypersonic weapons are normally defined as fast, low-flying and highly maneuverable weapons designed to be too quick and agile for traditional missile defense systems.

While Milley stopped short of declaring the weapons test on par with Sputnik -- the pioneering 1957 satellite that gave the Soviet Union an early lead in the space race, shocking the U.S. -- the comparison showed the depth of concern about Beijing’s work on hypersonic arms.

The CEO of Raytheon Technologies Corp., Gregory Hayes, on Tuesday said that the U.S. is “at least several years behind” China in developing hypersonic technology.

Ports Open to Access For US Warships May Be Destroyed in Sino-US War

In the first of its kind in China, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) recently conducted an underwater explosion test which simulated an attack on a hostile high-piled wharf.

The test gathered a large amount of data that can be used in future combat for attacking enemy ports, which can contribute to cutoff of enemy supply lines, Chinese military experts said on Sunday.

Organized by an institute under the PLA Naval Research Academy, the demolition test was recently held at an undisclosed naval port, China Central Television (CCTV) reported on Saturday.

The underwater explosives were successfully detonated and fully demolished the wharf with a powerful explosion.

Many sensors were installed on key structural points of the wharf for the test. As the explosion took place, nearly 1,000 pieces of data were gathered which were then analyzed to accurately evaluate how the wharf was damaged, CCTV reported, noting that this will provide scientific support to attack hostile ports in a real war.

The test simulated real case scenarios and represented damage of different types of weapons detonated at different ranges, the report said.

Naval bases and ports are core hubs in hostile combat systems because logistics support vessels must frequently come and go between them and the frontlines to transport supplies, including munitions and fuel, Captain Zhao Pengduo, Deputy Director of the Naval Port Demolition Test Program, told CCTV .

"If we can use stealthy ways, like underwater explosions to destroy the ports, we can kill off the enemy's war potentials," Zhao said.

This tactic can play a significant role in many combat scenarios including countering the US' naval warfare aimed at China, said a Beijing-based military expert on Sunday.

With ports destroyed, enemy logistics support will fail and a dispersed fighting force, which heavily relies on logistics support, will also fail, the Chinese expert said.

In U.S. military circles, there are people advocating a "deterrence by denial" strategy through a heavy forward presence of deployed powerful, numerous, naval forces in locations such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore dissuading China from taking action.

Collin Koh, a research fellow at Singapore's S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, said that while Singapore may be reluctant to open a new U.S. naval base, it is open to increasing access for U.S. ships under the current framework of cooperation.

"There is an appetite for sustaining and enhancing U.S. presence in the region," he said.

But won't that put Singapore port at risk of Chinese stealth underwater attack in the unfortunate event of a Sino-U.S. war?

Not only Rajaratnam School the Anti-China Chauvinists are everywhere in Singapore - especially in the Government, Admin Servive. Academics, Journalists, Editors of ST CNA TODAY. And also in Banking, Finance, IT. Temasek, GIC, CUPBOARD AND CABINET.

CECA itself is Anti-China. The people who supported CECA are Anti-China.

The PM himself is ANTI-CHINA but at times tried to project otherwise. He and his wife are staunchly pro-USA - clearly displayed for us to see. No doubt.

Chinese attack/transport helicopters spotted near Taiwan for 1st time; island within PLA's grasp

Attack and transport helicopters joined fighter jets and special mission aircraft of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) near the island of Taiwan in a drill for the first time on Tuesday, with military experts saying on Wednesday that choppers can provide more tactical options in landing operations, and this displayed the increased combat readiness of the PLA in the region.

A total of seven PLA aircraft - a Y-8 command, control and communications aircraft; a Y-8 reconnaissance aircraft; a Y-8 electronic warfare aircraft; two J-16 fighter jets; a Mi-17 cargo helicopter and a WZ-10 attack helicopter - entered the island of Taiwan's self-proclaimed southwest air defense identification zone on Tuesday, the island's defense authorities said in a media release late on the same day.

It was the first time a PLA attack helicopter joined such an exercise in the region since the island's defense authorities started to announce flight activities of the PLA on a daily basis, media outlets on the island said.

Despite having slower speeds and shorter ranges compared with fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters can take off and land vertically and hover, and this gives them special advantages in island and landing operations, said Fu Qianshao, a Chinese military aviation expert.

As a transport helicopter, the Mi-17 has a large capacity for personnel and vehicles, but does not have armament, so it needs an armed helicopter like the WZ-10 to escort it, Fu said. The partnership of the two makes sense, particularly when operating in high-risk areas, as the WZ-10 has high firepower, advanced sensors and avionics that make it capable of attacking both land and maritime targets, and even engaging in air-to-air combat for self-defense, according to Fu.

The appearance of PLA helicopters, in addition to a wide variety of fixed-wing aircraft near Taiwan, showed that the PLA's training intensity and combat readiness are increasing, and Taiwan island is within the PLA's grasp.

Beijing May Fly Fighter Jets Across Taiwan Island on Blinken’s Taiwan UN Support

Escalating tensions due to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's remarks on support for the island of Taiwan's involvement in the UN will spur China to take tougher action, especially military ones, to further warn the US about how dangerous it could be if it continues to challenge China's bottom-line on the Taiwan question, experts in Beijing said.

Blinken on Tuesday called on UN member states to support the island's "robust" participation in the UN system, according to the US State Department website. The US wants to internationalize the Taiwan question, to transfer the matter from China's internal affairs to an 'international issue,' so that it could create more trouble to the process of the reunification of China.

The US decision-making circle has now been divided into three parts - the force led by Blinken that wants to gain more power by making more trouble for China-US ties; the pragmatic force headed by professional economic officials like Yellen; and those who care more about the climate issue and need cooperation from China. President Joe Biden is too weak to keep them all under control and sometimes even gets hijacked by the hardliners.

It seems like the force which wants to confront China and doesn't want to see any recovery in China-US ties has already dominated the US strategic and decision-making circle, and the force who prefers to handle China-US relations pragmatically is losing influence.

Given the situation, the US would not get the cooperation it wants from China, such as on climate change, and will feel more pain in the areas that it believes it should compete with China, because Washington has already shown its intention to not only challenge UN Resolution 2758, but also the political foundation of China-US relations.

Chinese experts said on Wednesday that Blinken's remarks will not just be "talking the talk," the US will take action, such as launching diplomatic offensives in the UN and relevant international organizations, to further provoke China on the Taiwan question. It is still emboldening and supporting 'Taiwan independence' forces and challenging international law and the basic norms governing international relations, including the one-China principle.

A diplomatic response is not enough, because the Taiwan question is about China's core interest and the political foundation of China-US ties. China would take tougher action, including military action, to warn the US of the seriousness of provoking China's redline. The People's Liberation Army is likely to take more direct action in the Taiwan Straits to respond to US provocations.

If the US keeps provoking, it means the PLA's previous warnings through military drills and air patrols have been ignored. Then the PLA will need to deter the US and Taiwan secessionists in other ways, such as sending military aircraft across the island or even conduct live-fire drills around the island.
