A new bill to curb foreign interference in the domestic affairs or politics of Singapore has been tabled. This is a more than 200 page bill, must have cost a lot of money and time, dunno how many manhours? Must be very serious matter. This probably started when The Online Citizen webside, TOC, was still around. Now the only active political website left is TRE or a few smaller sites. Still, the need to control and prevent foreigners intervening or influencing the political thinking of Singaporeans must be put in place. This must be an existential threat to Singapore.
Who are the people interfering or influencing the political thinking of Singaporeans? Would this include countries or people representing countries interfering and influencing our politicians' thinking and policy making? Who are the likely people working with foreigners and let foreigners influenced their thinking and whatever they are doing?
Heard of the QUAD? Would the ministers of India and Japan be considered as people being influenced by the Americans to join the QUAD?
Would countries that bought mRNA vaccines and not allowed, forbidden by the pharma companies or countries to use other vaccines be included as being influenced by foreigners?
TOC and the likes are media producers. When they published information or misinformation against Singapore, or be influenced or paid by foreigners to smear another country, would these be an infringement of FICA? Would this same interpretation be applied across the board to all media producers that are influenced by foreigners, paid by foreigners, or in whatever way doing the works of foreigners be guilty of the same offence under FICA?

With the passing of this highly suspicious and draconian FICA, the Home Affairs Minister, fully with the indivisible and complete support of the Law Minister, can put the President, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, including their family members, under house arrest and detention without trial. If the Home Affairs Minister dared to carry out such a coup, albeit legally, then it is extremely probable that he must have the backing of a powerful foreign power.

SEA Games gold medallist Anja Chong says racism in Singapore towards non-Chinese is “rampant and explicit”
Malaysian Southeast Asian Games multiple gold medallist in ice-skating Anja Chong has said an Instagram story that “racism in Singapore towards non-Chinese is so rampant and explicit.”
In a story which was loaded on 3 October, the 27-year-old Singapore permanent resident tagged Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong and social justice warriors Wake Up, Singapore (WUSG).
Chong, whose mother Sonja Chong is the Honorary Life President of the Singapore Ice Skating Association, said in her story that she had been trying to look for apartments with her partner, who is an Indian and that the “response has been shocking”.
Her partner is a Malaysian citizen.
She added that she and her partner had been rejected because of the landlord’s “preferences” and because they were “unsuitable tenants”.
She did not black out the name of the agent she was dealing with in her Insta story, who appears to be from property realtors Propnex.
After an exchange with the admin of WUSG which reposted her story, she added another story and said that she will report all property agents who discriminate to the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA).
CEA is the government agency which regulates the real estate agency industry.
WUSG also put up a supporting post after the exchange with Chong, reminding people who have experienced racist practices while looking for home to submit a complaint to CEA.
Chong won four short track speed skating gold medals at the South East Asian Games in 2017 and 2019.
She scored victories in the women’s 500 metres, 1,000m and 3,000m relay events at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur and was a member of the team that defended the 3,000m relay title in the Philippines in 2019.
She also won a bronze in the 500m event in 2019.
She should give up her PR and return to Malaysian where there is no or lesser racism than Singapore. She can even apply to be a PR in India, also better than Singapore.
Why suffer staying in a racist Singapore? Go to countries that you are happy.

Any law formulated and passed by the Legislative Branch that can be used by the Executive Branch of the government "ultra vires" (beyond their powers), for example, detention without trial and by-passing the Judicial Branch (i.e. without judicial review periodically) is ILLEGAL
Therefore, such a law is to be considered as null and void!
Beside being against the Constitution, it is against human decency, against human dignity and against basic human rights.
Only people who are power-crazy or have ulterior motives will want such a law to enhance their powers and allow themselves a weapon that they can use to undermine the will of the society, the wish of the people.
It is a reflection of a government that is fearful, insecure, incompetent and unpredictable.

Exponential rise in Covid-19 cases affected Singapore's capacity but hiccups not due to lack of planning
FRUSTRATIONS experienced by Covid-19 patients and their families as they tried to make sense of the home recovery care management model were not because of a lack of capacity, but due to hiccups in "processes" said Health Minister Ong Ye Kung in Parliament on Monday.
"(When the Delta variant came in), and cases started to shoot up... fortunately we have always been planning ahead, which is why, at that point in time, we were already ready to handle 1,500 cases a day," said Mr Ong.
The healthcare system currently has the capacity to handle 3,000 cases a day. In one to two weeks, it will be able to handle 5,000 cases. At this point, the ministry is already thinking about the next step - how to handle 10,000 cases, he said.
"So in terms of planning capacity (and) manpower, we're always one to two steps ahead. What I think did not go well, and I fully acknowledge it, was the HRP (Home Recovery Programme). All the complaints about conveyancing, calling in and people not getting responses, is not because the beds were totally full, but processes with regard to the HRP were not totally ready and we were caught by the sudden increase. We were still implementing a pilot programme when all this happened."
In his earlier speech, Mr Ong said there are about 9,800 people on HRP. Over 2,800 were discharged as at Sunday.
"Every day, over half of infected individuals will be onboarded on HRP and we expect the proportion to continue to rise. In recent days, for those eligible for HRP, 93 per cent were contacted promptly and smoothly onboarded," he said.

This new law is obviously targeted at China.
China must not take this likely.
