During
a press conference on 23 Oct, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, who is also
Co-Chair of the Leaderless Multi-Ministry Taskforce, said:
“I
think such selective quoting of data — 40 per cent of ICU beds occupied
by vaccinated individuals, therefore vaccines don't work — I think this
is selective use of data to mislead people. And it's a disservice to
people.
As I've said before, if the whole or 100 per cent of our
population is vaccinated, every single ICU case, every single death case
will be vaccinated. It doesn't mean vaccines don't work. What you need
to look at is the incidence rate, what is the base.
Unvaccinated
seniors make up 1.5 per cent of Singapore’s total population, but they
accounted for two-thirds of occupancy in ICUs and deaths over the last
28 days.
So do get yourself vaccinated, and be careful of misleading WhatsApp messages and poor math.”
From that speech, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung has again told people to get themselves vaccinated.
In
the past one year, the PM, the PM's Wife, the Multi-Ministry Task
Force, the Experts Committee and the Health Ministry have been
painstakingky advising, encouraging and pointedly telling people
(especially those who have not been vaccinated) to go and get
vaccinated.
So much efforts and restrictive measures have been
deliberately put up at discriminating against those who are unvaccinated
(for their own protection?) to make life more difficult for them living
in Singapore.
Why go to such a great extent to advise, encourage and persuade Singaporeans and Residents to go and get themselves vaccinated?
Why don't simply declare that VACCINATION IS COMPULSORY?
Why go round and round in circles and make all of us look like clowns in a circus?
What
is there to stop or prevent the powerful government of Singapore to
chicken out from declaring "VACCINATION IS COMPULSORY FOR EVERYONE!"???
There
are so many things that have been made Compulsory in Singapore. This is
nothing new. Adding one more Compulsory Decree in the Long List of
Compulsory Decrees will not make any eyebrow raised.
Come on, for goodness sake, for simplicity, just say what you meant to say, i.e.
"VACCINATION IS NOT VOLUNTARY, VACCINATION IS COMPULSORY!"
And
everything will be alright. Everyone will understand. Everyone will go
and get vaccinated. And the Ministers and Government will have good
sleep every night.
Please reconsider.
If you can
reconsider to include Sinovac in the National Vaccination Program, why
not reconsider this? I believe our leaders are very flexible and
adaptable people. Please think again.

Aiyo..rb..remember all these mrna drugs are experimental drugs..which carries all the bs exemptions from litigation n claims. But usage of the drugs must be voluntary. Why the drugs have not been approved by FDA yet is the trillion $ question. Singapore government will never force the drugs on u cos if you make it compulsory then it carries all the responsibilities of enforcing an experimental drug which the manufacturers rely on. So the government would rather bully you into submission. Is it constitutional? That's the question
COVID-19 Measures: Deliberately Going Against Basic Human Needs
The high-handed arbitrary measure taken by the PAP Government to deliberately deprive and discriminate against the unvaccinated of essential goods and services, amenities and facilities, such as public toilets and medical stores and clinics, in various places is against basic human rights and against the Constitution of Singapore.
This unthinkable and unacceptable deed must go down in the history of Singapore as one of the darkest hour of human depravity and deprivation.
Why are the Opposition political parties, except Goh Meng Seng's PPP, not taking up the matter in Parliament to redress the horrendous mismanagement and misdeed?
They claim vaccination to be voluntary, but behind the narrative is the sinister hand punishing those unvaccinated with all kinds of regulations and segregating tactics that already amounts to using force under the pretext of containment.
One restaurant owner was complaining that the two person dine in is a farce. He could see that the gym next to his restaurant had large groups of people exercising without mask, while his restaurant could only allow dine in for groups of two. So, many people without mask exercising close together is not dangerous, but allowing larger dine in groups is very dangerous. What is the logic behind such decisions?
When the government declared that the National Vaccination was/still is VOLUNTARY, it has literally warned the takers with CAVEAT EMPTOR (Buyer Beware).

Indeed, they just want to pass the responsibility and liability back to sinkies by saying it is volunteered. If they insist it is compulsory, it means that they disregard those who are unable to take the jab due to some issues (example: underage, medical conditions,).
So didn't the government say that they will take care of those that has side effect of vaccine ? Are people gullible ? Once a while they will put up lucky few people who get compensate by government and in return become the spokesman for the government, the majority, opps , luck quota up, nothing to do with vaccine side-effect (can anyone even prove it ?), must be the unlucky person's medical conditions. That is what happen when government is run as business. Just wayang and marketing. Time and time again we see this happen, but what do we know, sinkies have short memories.
