This Pandemic is like a war. The government should have been on war-footing, instead of being so relaxed and happily going lucky, monitoring and reacting, and keeping the fingers crossed. Waiting for hindsight to make decisions and hoping for a miracle to happen.
In fact, this Pandemic is worse than war. In a war setting, we can see the enemy forces' deployments through good reconnaissance and intelligence. But in this case, the enemy has already invaded our country and is invisible, invincible and everywhere, attacking our people every day without fail or fear.
There is no way to find out where and when, and who and how it is going to attack before it happens.
There is no possibility of assessing how many casualties we are going to suffer and how serious the casualties will be, before hand.
Therefore, there should have an Operations Centre set up at every level - right from the very top at the PMO to the Grassroot level at every community centre, manned 24 hours round the clock, on 3 shifts. All the MPs should be incharge of their respective community centres instead of being so divorced from this national and international disaster.
At every ministry, police station, hospital, polyclinic and airport, sea port, bus interchanges and MRT Station, there should also be an Operation Centre too.
What are the Ops Centre supposed to do? They serves as a network of Tentacles, branching to every loop and corner, to control, coordinate, monitor and supervise Covid-19 related activities, regulations, information and emergencies; preventing large scale infections before they happen or arresting the spreading before it is too late. Nipping the problem at the bud instead of fire-fighting after the fire has started to spread.
The SAF, the Civil Defence and the Police must be mobilised to help out on a 24/7 daily basis, at every Operations Centre. Remember, this is war!
All the above and more should have been organised and done from the very beginning, in March 2020. Why are they still not done is a $200 billion question.
Becoming millionaires with so much power so easily has caused complacency and incompetence? Resulting in always trying to find the easy, lazy or crazy way out? Looks like it.
This pandemic has definitely exposed the good, the bad and the ugly across the board. No way to hide. The wise people know.

What happened? The texts are truncated and misaligned.
OK, corrected.
This COVID-19 Pandemic exposed many countries' leaders' incompetence, corruption, playing politics, ruthlessness, impatience, arrogance, haughtiness, stupidity, etc, you name it.
Many of either shirk their responsibilities, side-step their responsibilities or outright flatly refused to accept responsibilities like Dotard Trump.
In Singapore, they do what they have been doing and what they are good for - WAYANG!
Singapore is the worst hit among the countries mainly it is so tiny, dense and overpopulated with nowhere to run and hide from corona, who fate is decide from corporation-business-like government who think they know best and in fact learn nothing.
Already some of my relatives getting corona lately they themselves not aware until they cough. What even distressing they spreading their virus to those in the house causing them to be infected and isolated as well. You can imagine a lot of unhappiness and inconvenience as a result.
Well, in Singapore they are managing COVID19 like a war already - a war against the unvaccinated. In the process even the fully vaccinated are suffering the consequences by having to put up with all the inconveniences, touted to protect the unvaccinated. That pronouncement really takes the cake.
To protect the unvaccinated from access to various locations so that they do not get infected by the fully vaccinated is a tag too far fetched for the narrative to be believable. In other words can it be said that it is the fear of the vaccinated infecting the unvaccinated.
Now we are obviously meandering into ludicrous territory and this will get worse if opening up is to result in more infections, deaths and the herd immunity mantra vanishing into oblivion.
Right now they are telling us hospital facilities are being pushed to the limit by the local infections.
If so, opening up and letting in foreigners will make the situation worse, right? They said they have factored in all these by providing more facilities, so let us see how it turns out.
"If so, opening up and letting in foreigners will make the situation worse, right? They said they have factored in all these by providing more facilities, so let us see how it turns out."
When these foreigners come to Singapore and when infected with corona, they can no longer stay in normal hotel but should be in community care facilities which can be high-star hotels ( sentosa, novena-area hotel, Changi resort), and community care facilities could be already overloaded at this time, could it be that the foreigners be coming to take up place in this facilities as priority since they are paying for it, not the government (free for local), and pushing the local for home recovery instead since there is no money but losses to be made from local.
Given the business-minded and love of foreigners of this government, I will not be surprised the local will get side-stepped as priority just like they done to citizens all along.
Could this be main reason they promote home recovery to coincide with border opening, your guess is as good as mine.
Of 5,725 Covid-19 deaths reported in Selangor 1 June-1 Sept, 7.3%, or 418 ppl, were fully vaccinated.
Of 418 breakthrough deaths:
- AstraZeneca: 1%
- Pfizer: 17%
- Sinovac: 82%
Vaccines received by fully vaxxed in Selangor:
- AZ: 7%
- Pfizer: 33%
- Sinovac: 56%

If people are already seriously sick with other inherent illnesses, it does not matter which vaccine they used. It all ends up the same way, death due to other complications.
How many of the 418 were already about to kick the bucket when they took the jab? Statistics are collated for a purpose. To promote an agenda or to destroy the reputation of a competitor.
Up to now , it is not clear how MOH define infection count.
The number given is reducing which defy logic and reason, since the more people get infected, the more it spread. So is the number defined as those only been reported to MOH officially and diagnosed by doctors, or those on home recovery which not officially attended to which get infected is ignored in the report ? I'm inclined to believe that those on home recovery is not included or some criteria are been tweaked to make the number look good.
How can the number be decreasing when so many people get infected.
Yes, that is correct.
Those bookworms always want to look good all the time. They will do whatever it takes to massage the figures. Those in infected in the dormitories have not been included if they were not reported by the doctors or hospitals, clinics and polyclinics, or self-isolate at home.
It all started when they were kids in schools. Their parents also helped to make them that way - self-centred.
Always want to become the top result holder in order to get the President and SAF scholarships. Some event so greedy to want both scholarships
at the same time.
Always about themselves getting all the best benefits and pushed all the rest in schools or universities, fellow students, down so that they can be on top, to get the prestigious scholarships.
These selfish bookworms are good in figures. They know how to make use of statistics to their own advantages. They are smart and cunning and pretend to look sincere and fair. Deep down they are not what they project themselves to be.
And they are very childish and spoilt, and vengeful, and cannot take losses and defeats.
This article posted on Weixin described the sorry state of affairs happening in the migrant workers dormitory housing mostly PRC workers.
The following is roughly what was written in the article:
There is an outbreak of infections in the dormitory but sick workers were not transferred out immediately, neither is there a segregated quarantine rooms made available for them.
They have to sleep in the same room with other non infected workers. Some took the initiative to stay outside the room or even sleep outside the room!
These infected workers were left in the dorm without any treatment or care from any doctor. Basically they were left to wait till their situation deteriorated.
These infected persons were only transferred out by medical personnel after they fell really ill or half dead. Thereafter, nothing heard from these sick workers.
Infected workers are everywhere in the dormitory.
It is extremely hard to get medical care or see the doctor in the dormitory and prescription of medicine is hard to get.
Food and hygiene are terrible in the dormitory.
Reported in wanbao liao
Quick translation: there are people diagnosed with covid in the Westlite Quick Building Dormitory, and visitors who live in the dormitory claim that it is difficult to In addition to the shortage of medicines and disinfection supplies, the dormitory was also accused of delaying arranging the isolation of the diagnostics to continue to live with their roommates, causing a commotion. The police later sent riot teams and police officers to the scene to maintain order and the Ministry of Manpower intervened in the investigation.

Rioting will happen in the dormitories in the next few weeks. This is to be expected because of the prolonged "imprisonment" and ill-treatments taking place every other day.
Once you confine hundreds of thousands (350,000) young an vibrant men, and deprived them of releasing their sexual tension and quenching of their sexual appetite, it is going to be "all hells break loose".
COVID-19 is like war? Well then, Singapore must be in good hands because you have BGs and General directing the fight against the virus. Although these BGs and Generals have never fired a bullet in anger, they must be very intelligent people and very knowledgeable in warfare. Don't worry Singaporeans, you are safe and nothing to be anxious about.
The Delta variant just can't be stopped.
New Zealand Health Ministry modeling forecasts more than 5,000 cases per week in the Auckland and Northland regions next year, assuming 90% of the eligible population is vaccinated, Health Minister Andrew Little said on Thursday. The figure does not include the rest of the country, where modeling is still being conducted.
In Singapore, daily cases were projected to reach 5000 cases by mid-October. Today is already 14 Oct. Hopefully, it does not materialize. Hopefully the wave crests before 5000 cases and we see a dampening of transmission.
