Fears
are growing about rising Covid-19 infections among children as the
United States is turning into a dangerous bell-wether for other
countries, some of which are preparing for a return to school without
mask mandates in classrooms and access to vaccines for younger age
groups are still not forthcoming.
The whole world is in great
danger of destroying a whole future generation with probable long-term
negative implications and consequences.
In this Pandemic, no country is safe until all countries are safe.
Gangho
and gangster-like leaders who are adamant in opening up their countries
for some economic head starts and gains, thereby exposing their
citizens to more imported infections, will be the primary cause and
worry for the rest of the world that follow the zero-tolerance approach.
Such careless and myopic leaders may believe they can live with the
coronavirus but in reality they are courting deaths and further
destruction to their countries' economy, as well as the safety of 9
billion people in the world.
Such irresponsible leaders, thinking
that they are responsible for the well-being of their citizens, are
actually doing things against the well-being of their citizens and the
rest of the world.
Living with the coronavirus is easy to say but
difficult to implement. It can only be implemented if the whole world,
not just a single or few countries, can achieve Herd Immunity.
Herd Immunity can only be achieved if the vaccine is effective and long-lasting for at least a year or more.
If
the effectiveness of the present Covid vaccines available last only two
months, or thereabouts, it is foolishness to talk about Herd Immunity,
let alone achieving it. You are going to deceive yourself, no one else.
You will only achieve a Hurt Community!
The benefits of the
vaccines do not outweigh the risks simply because the benefits are
subjective and the long-term risks are still very much unknown, even to
the vaccines producers themselves!
Moreover, Herd Immunity MAY
ONLY be achieved if at least 80% of the population, across the board,
are fully vaccinated with really effective vaccines, not experimental
vaccines that still have numerous loopholes to plug. Requiring a third
and/or more booster shots is a clear indication that loopholes are still
being exposed and forthcoming. Using such unreliable vaccines, with
proven ineffectiveness of fully vaccinated still get infected enmass,
will only result in a Hurt Community instead of Herd Immunity.
So, a few words to the gangho or ganster-like leaders:
For
goodness sake, do not play with the lives of your people, irrespective
of whether they are old and having some pre-existing medical conditions,
or they are very young and do not have the vaccines available to them.
You will have a lot of blood on your hands if you try to play God. You
are ignorant and fallible. You are not God!
Be responsible!

Leaders who purposely exposed their citizens to the imported and avoidable COVID-19 infections, and thereby led to unnecessary or premature deaths of the vulnerable groups of people, are irresponsible, cruel, ruthless and similar to the atrocious Japanese invaders of Singapore during World War 2.
The only difference is that the Japanese killers were crude and these acts of the present leaders are subtle, which is worse and more dangerous.

Three More Murders:
SINGAPORE — Three more seniors have died from complications due to Covid-19, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Friday (Aug 27).
In its nightly update on the coronavirus situation here, it said that an 80-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman died on Thursday while a 70-year-old woman died on Friday. All three were Singaporeans and had not been vaccinated against Covid-19.

SINGAPORE: A total of 34 bus captains from Toa Payoh and Punggol bus interchanges have recently tested positive for COVID-19, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Friday (Aug 27).
These bus captains are part of two new COVID-19 clusters linked to staff members at Punggol and Toa Payoh bus interchanges reported by the Ministry of Health in its daily update on Thursday. CNA
How many trips have these captains taken and how many passengers per trip? Added together, how many people were likely to be infected by the bus captains?
All except one bus captain have been fully vaccinated, said an LTA spokesperson in response to CNA's queries, adding that most of them are "asymptomatic or showing only mild symptoms".
All(33) fully vaccinated except one. What does this mean? Vaccinated safe can go dining in 5, unvaccinated unsafe must conduct antigen rapid test every 2 or 3 days?

SINGAPORE - More people will come down with Covid-19 as Singapore opens up its economy and moves towards treating the virus as endemic, said Health Minister Ong Ye Kung on Friday (Aug 6).
This means that the number of people who become severely ill will go up - especially among the unvaccinated - and the death toll will rise.
Singaporeans must be "psychologically prepared" for this eventuality, even as the Republic embarks on its four-stage plan to reach a new normal, Mr Ong said.

On June 8, MOM said that about a fifth of migrant workers living in dorms are fully vaccinated and slightly more than another fifth, partially vaccinated.
Fast forward almost two months, the vaccination rate in the dorm cannot have reached 100%, probably between 50 to 70 percent, yet, all 62 cases today are fully vaccinated!
Clearly, the virus not only does not differentiate between the vaccinated and unvaccinated, it seems to have a preference for the former!
Actually, I am not surprised, because in May and June this year, I was tabulating the individual infections by vaccination status every day until MOM stopped publishing the data, and it was not uncommon for more of the vaccinated than unvaccinated to be infected.
In July this year, there was an outbreak in Provincetown, Massachusetts, infecting 469 people, of which 75% were fully vaccinated even though only 69% of the population was vaccinated. Clearly, the vaccine wasn’t preventing infection, but worse still, the US Center for Disease Control found that the amount of virus in these vaccinated people were as high as those not vaccinated, thus confirming that people who are vaccinated are just as likely to infect others.
The fact is that the vaccine confers no protection against infection whatsoever, perhaps even render a recipient more susceptible. It also does not prevent transmission.
The Multi-Ministry Task Force (MTF) claims to make decisions based on facts, yet they differentiate between the vaccinated and unvaccinated when it comes to dining, traveling, entertainment and even work, when the virus makes no such distinction!
The facts are clear. Discriminating against the unvaccinated is not going to lessen infection one bit, it only shows that the MTF’s claims of working with facts, are just that – claims.
The second fact is that those who have died from Covid are invariably the elderly with underlying health issues.
The MTF should stop wasting resources differentiating between the vaccinated and unvaccinated and focus the bulk of its resources on protecting the elderly, especially those with underlying health issues.
(Update: ST reported today, 25 Aug, that more than 90% of migrant workers living in dorms are fully vaccinated.)
