The
reluctance of many governments in the world to take immediate, urgent,
drastic actions to block off further imports of the Covid-19 cases into
their respective countries, is the fundamental reason and cause of the
proliferation and spread of the coronavirus among their unaware
communities.
Recently, the growing numbers of new clusters
appearing in Singapore are mainly due to Type Delta Variant infected
carriers from abroad, spreading the disease to the locals, especially
the airport staff and customs officials.
Lately, there are new
clusters of Covid-19 infections appearing among the KTVs nightclubs and
at least 30 people are not Singaporeans.
The total number of these clusters is still growing. The last known report put it at 42.
At least eight of the infected are short-term visit pass holders, including the Vietnamese hostess first linked to the cluster.
As
part of the stipulated immigration conditions, short-term visit pass
holders are forbidden to work in Singapore without MOM's permission.
Those who flouted the stipulated conditions are guilty of an immigration
offence and could be barred from future entries into Singapore.
ICA
and MOM reacted by vowing stern action against any foreigner from the
cluster found to have committed an offence. As usual, they are very good
in reactive actions rather than proactive actions.
According to
the Immigration Authority, the first link to the cluster is the
Vietnamese hostess who had entered Singapore in February this year on a
short-term visit pass via the "Familial Ties Lane", sponsored by her
Singaporean boyfriend. That is on the surface.
However,
underneath the surface, there is a racket in Singapore whereby
foreigners can pay a certain amount of "fee" to get a Singaporean
sponsorship for their stay in Singapore on short and medium term basis,
which are renewable. That explains why a short-term visit pass holder
can stay from February to July this year, six months.
Usually, short-term visit pass lasts for 14 or 30 days.
To
many politicians, it seems that the economy of the country is more
important than the health and lives of their citizens, and the national
healthcare system. As such, we are seeing a open-and-shut case
repeatedly, with regard to the measures taken to curb and stop Covid-19
infections in many countries. Singapore is no exception.
As a
result, the proliferation and spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus will be
forever and ever. The coronavirus will be able to live happily ever
after! So, the pandemic becomes endemic. This gives some very brilliant
leaders the excuse to tell their people to live with the Coronavirus as
if it is a common flu!
Living dangerous in a pandemic will become the new normal.

At one food outlet at Hougang Mall, I saw rows of people sitting close together, without distancing, along long tables and benches that could sit about 6 to 8 people in a row on either side of the table, eating face to face. Is this allowed?
About those KTV lounges masquerading as F & B outlets, the punishment should be more severe than just asking them to close for 2 weeks, a slap on their wrist. Saying that the closure of 2 weeks is for them to do deep cleaning makes a mockery of the purpose of the punishment.
Spreading the virus is no laughing matter and it concerns the safety of all Singaporeans. Those KTV outlets are now operating more like licensed Red Light District activities behind closed doors and should be monitored more closely. When are the authorities going to be more circumspect in their enforcement? Remember, they ignored the dormitories and caused a near national disaster.

Yes, politicians are not skilled in the art of Deception. They lied and lied and the people know it other than the unthinking.
They got away with their lies by the exercise of power and coercion. No one can walk to tell them in their face that they are liars without being arrested and punished by the law they could use against the layman.
Why are Singaporeans complaining about the way your Government carry out the art of deception? You vote them in to govern you, so don't complain.

Please don't taint all Singaporeans with the same toxic brush. Don't you no know that about 39% of Singaporeans voted for the opposition?
Your assumption that those who complain must be those who voted for the PAP is a totally uninformed and misguided opinion.
The KTV cluster will spread more widely because those clients who visited those joints have already been to many other places since the discovery and some are not even going to come clean to allow their wives and family to know. But that could be mistaken if there are mechanisms to trace and singled them out eventually.
How widely those guys involved have been running around is anybody's guess. Hope there will not be a backward step after just a few days of relaxing the clampdown.
Some of the waitresses and hostesses have already gone home to spread to their family members and country folks in their respective countries.
Some of the uncles could have visited Geylang after the KTV nightclub sessions. They could have spread to the prostitutes in Geylang or elsewhere.
Those second-hand infected prostitutes could have spread the disease to other customers, especially the foreigner workers who stay at the dormitories......
and so on and so forth.
Hope finally it spreads to some of the top Meat-butchers. Gold-diggers and Blood-sucker for their just desserts, especially those who called themselves X-spurts.
At least 2,480 people could potentially be part of the Covid-19 cluster linked to the notorious KTV Nightclubs and Lounges.
Since the Government announcement on July 12, the cluster has seen at least 1,660 people coming forward voluntarily to get tested and at least 25 of them have tested positive so far.
The challenge of this cluster is that it is unlike previous ones. The problems encountered are:
1. There is no full information of who the customers are,
2. Where they have been to after visiting the nightclubs?
3. Where they are now?
4. How many others they have passed on the virus to?
5. Many never register or scan their names or phones for fear of their family members finding out where they have been.
6. There are also unknown freelance "hostesses" who come and go without any trace.
7. Some of the "mummies" or "pimps" failed to cooperate fully because of patron-client coonfidentiality or they have "forgotten" to record some of their "girls" during certain nights.
8. Whatever you can think of.
This is a wake up call for the happy go lucky newbie Musical Chair Rolling Stone Hell Minister who thinks too highly of his own inability ability, unreasonable reasoning and indefensible defence of MOE, MOT, MOH and CECA.
Nuking the virus will solve all the problems. With all the nuclear weapons available, the almighty big powers can nuke the whole world, with more than a few for each country. A few more needed for big countries and small countries needing just one will do.
Problem is humans will follow the virus into extinction. Those big powers no need to nuke themselves. The radiation fallout will do the job. Worth a try!
