Numerically speaking, India is not such a basket case as far as infection is concerned. The USA has a population of about 330m and an infection of 33m. This is just about 10% of the population.
India has a population of 1.3b and an infection of 26m giving an infection of only 2%.
Even in terms of death, USA has about 600,000 death compares to India's nearly 300,000 death. So what is the problem with India compares to the USA? Perhaps it is because the death were not managed properly, not disposed off orderly, and over a short span of time, giving the impression that there were a lot of death.
OK, India may be under counting, not transparent. So what is new? The Americans are also under counting and not transparent and were miscounted as dying from flu not from Covid19.
Looks like the problem in India is a management problem with the Modi govt not handling the situation well and also because of a shortage of hospital beds and equipment and a shortage of oxygen. The people are dying because of mismanagement, because of lack of oxygen, not necessary and could not have died.
So India, no need to cry father, cry mother. The USA is many times more serious than India. They are just good at cleaning up their shit unlike India, where even ambulances are short and no big containers to keep the dead bodies.
Modi should wake up and start to do something about the situation, help the people to take care of the dead bodies and make sure oxygen is available to those that needed them.

But Changi Airport continues to be open for travellers coming from India.
This is proof that Singapore is doing very well. A few cases never mind. Compares to India and the USA, the few cases here must be good to train the people and create awareness.
Maybe we need 10 times or 100 times before we think it is serious.
Many travellers also noted that Changi is a convenient stopover to Australia etc. How did they got this impression? Because Changi is too safe or too easy, too lax?
Actually the Modi administration is in a big dilemma. On one hand its G is corrupted & on the other hand the people r also uncooperative. When the G inject monies or fund, mostly r being 'gobbled up' by unscrupulous civy serpents, when the enforcer one to enforce rules they r being met with aggressive behavior silli Ah nehs. They wanto ake many oxygen supplies stuffs being met being unscrupulous middle men or agents, they wanto vaccinate the people it becomes the rich & elites class got it first. They wanto cremate bodies most common people r in poverty, crematory all jam packed whom to cremate first all comes with monies and bribery. These r all the administration's system failure being tested & reveal in a pandemic of Modi administration. So what can Modi do? Get help? Get advice? Probably China might help but then why do they care when u hv a snakes with double headed heads need to beware of.
All COVID-19 Casualties Reports Can Never Be Accurate
All COVID-19 casualties reports can never be accurate because the are various factors affecting the counting.
It is too simplistic to take the various casualties reports of any country at face value.
India's under-reporting and USA's under-reporting cannot be compared. It is like under-table money, corruption.
How can the public be able to know how much under-table money or under-countings were made by each country? It is almost impossible.
In fact, I am sure that every country is under-counting its COVID-19 casualties for many reasons.
Moreover, there are different ways of counting:
1. Some are deliberately under-counting and some are not.
2. Some are 'smart' counting and some are "straight" counting.
3. Some are "clean" counting and some are "dirty" counting.
4. Some are direct counting and dome are indirect counting.
5. Some are mixed-up counting and some are manipulated counting.
Therefore, for all intents and purposes, take it with a handful of salt and pepper when reading any official national reports on casualties, any type of casualties - Covid casualties, war casualties or natural disaster casualties, and whatever.
Remember their modus operandi is what's wrong with collecting more monies n its u die ur own bziness.

Singapore claimed 1 jab enough, because 1 jab means more people can get jabbed. Why, because vaccine not enough. Why not enough, because cannot use Chinese vaccines that are plenty and easily available. Why can't use Chinese vaccines, don't know leh.
Just like Taiwan, vaccine not enough because what their ordered would not arrive in time. But China is offering immediate vaccines. Cannot, cannot use Chinese vaccine. This one is because of their own political issues with China, not because they were pressured by the Americans not to use Chinese vaccines.
When this is a matter of life and death, only silly countries play politics with vaccines. Only silly countries allowed the Americans to control them and ordered them not to use Chinese vaccines and they lan lan have to obey the Americans and risking the safety of their citizens.
There's NO Indian B.1.617 COVID-19 variant virus
The Indian government has asked Indian social media companies to immediately remove any content from their platform that uses or refers to the term ‘Indian variant’ of coronavirus, sources said Friday.
According to sources, the IT Ministry has written to all Indian social media platforms asserting that the World Health Organization (WHO) has not associated the term “Indian Variant” with the B.1.617 variant of the coronavirus in any of its reports.
The sources said that a notice has been issued in this regard on Friday by the IT Ministry, which states that a false statement is being circulated online that implies that an ‘Indian variant’ of coronavirus is spreading across countries.
They added that social media platforms have been asked to “remove all the content that names, refers to, or implies Indian variant’ of corona virus from your platform immediately”.
India is, of course, in very serious trouble and we can see and read about it very widely. There is no safe distancing, no tracing, no punishment heard of for not wearing mask and people just move about between towns and countryside freely, thereby spreading the virus widely.
Further, horrible and corrupt people are making a killing in oxygen supplies and concentrators. There are even reports that some unscrupulous ones are selling gas cylinders as oxygen tanks. Even admission to some hospitals is a money making scam where only the rich and well connected can afford to pay to get admitted. This is a terrible situation to say the least. The Indian Government is paralyzed.
India, with it's huge population, will eventually overtake the USA in infections and deaths in the months ahead. Of course the USA is also not really transparent in it's figures as Biden's administration is not focusing it's eyes on the COVID19 infections and death situation, but is more fixated on the South China Sea and Middle East.
On a separate issue, just came across this leaked report of a document claiming that the USA was thinking of a nuclear strike China over Taiwan in 1958. That was a few years before China had successfully tested the nuclear bomb in 1964.
As I said before, China must and cannot relax it's nuclear buildup, but must be able to retaliate strongly, knowing what is always on the mind of the USA. Only by amassing and improving it's capability to retaliate widely across land and sea will it make the USA abandon it's secret mindset to use it's nuclear arsenal against China. China must be well prepared for war against the USA at all times.

USA situation improving and getting better. Latest, 200,000 or 300,000 cases a day? Now no need to wear mask if vaccinated. China may need to wear mask if 15 cases become 30 cases a day.
India also improving and getting better, from 400,000 to 250,000 a day after changing its testing criteria. All in hospitals or lying around hospitals, no need to test. All looking healthy no need to test.
