China hopes India has learnt from Doklam stand off

The Indians withdrew their soldiers from Chinese territory prior to Modi attending the BRICS Summit in China. India announced that both Chinese and Indian troops have withdrawn from the area for some face saving. Why or how would Chinese troops have to withdraw from being in Chinese territory?

From this statement it clearly shows that India did not learn anything despite China’s warning and military build up to drive the Indian soldiers from its territory. While China has never treated India as enemy, India has consistently treated China as enemy for many reasons. The land that India claimed were never India's land in the first place. Neither was India a natural country but a contrived amalgamation of land put together when the British colonized the subcontinent and called it their colony, and subsequently gave it independence, lock, stock and barrel, including all the land the British seized from China arbitrarily by drawing a new map with new borders in the British favour.

This land grabbing by the British, and subsequently the Indians too want to claim that these were Indian land is the seed of territorial dispute between India and China that led to the first Sino Indian border war in 1962. India is insistent to keep these land the British grabbed from China when it was not a country, not a nation. India is a country of mix bags of loose states put together by the British, at one time including Pakistan and Bangladesh.

India also harbours the grandeur of big power status and felt aggrieved that China is richer and more powerful and also sees that as a sore point. To India, China cannot be better and more powerful than India. India’s mission is to be richer and more powerful than China and is also in its own race and haste to out perform China. Though China has no historical enmity with India, very few records of historical territorial disputes or invasion, India has been psychoing itself that China is going to invade to run over India. China is the demon that India has created for itself and unable to shrug off this make belief.

China has been very patient and tolerant in this border incursion by India and has given India all the time and space to withdraw peacefully. But this kindness would not be appreciated and would be seen by the Indians as a sign of weakness and would encourage the Indians for more border incursions in the future.

This withdrawal is not the end of the Indian story and more would come. China should not have any misplaced hope that India has learnt any lesson in Doklam. Their mentality would push them for more mischiefs in the borders separating the two countries.

India is behaving like the Americans and the West in trying to stop the growth and rise of China. It refused to be part of the BRI and ended up being left out in the cold with progress and development bypassing the Indian subcontinent. If there is anything the Indians could learn from China to achieve its wet dream of becoming a rich super power, it should take a close look at how China progresses and leapfrogged over Europe and Japan to become the second superpower in all ways and going to overtake the Americans in a matter of time.

The Chinese did not try to create trouble for anyone but put their heads together to work really hard, planned their growth path and put every ounce of energy into it to make China what it is today. It is all about undying effort and determination, a lot of sweat and tears to rebuild a new China, staying away from wars and political bickering. If India could see this success formula and get its act together, it is a matter of time before India would also be a success story. The daily bickering and self delusion of greatness would not make India great but a chain to hold back India's rise as another superpower.

Would India learn from the China experience and work for its own success rather than trying to be a bad boy in the region, behaving like the Americans and the West, and now hiding under cloak and dagger with the Japanese to derail the Chinese growth engine.

The American experience is tragic failure as a big power is another case for India to learn. Spent your money and resources wisely on economic reconstruction and development instead of wasting precious resources on arms and the military and everyday thinking of war.  And stop lying with the myth that China is going to invade India. The Americans have squandered their decades of being the top dog by investing in nothing but military and weapons of wars. They have given up their leadership in economic development and the leader in science and technology for the good of mankind. Their only product today is weapons of war and to pursue wars to sell their weapons of destruction.

As a long time self proclaimed revisionist of China's history here in this blog;
On this matter, I have to 100% agree with redbean.

China has historically never been an invader of other countries.
Chinese rulers have a long history of killing & bullying Chinese people.
But never invade other countries.
(If I'm wrong, then please give me an example).

OBOR is consistent with China's past history.
Economic development and trade; and not military invasion.
All Chinese people should be proud of China ... building roads and railways into previously unaccessible areas.
Hopefully, OBOR will be successful and will be remembered as one of China's greatest contribution to humanity.

Expansionist Intent of India Is Too Obvious To Hide

Past history or not, it is very clear what India's intention is. Just go to Youtube, and anyone can see the designs of India - her expansionist activities in the Indian Ocean, occupying, dominating and controlling several islands with military built-up, setting up military bases in Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal, Kashmir, border of Afghanistan and along the Himalayan mountains belt; as well as forming alliances and strategic friendship with Japan, Vietnam and now trying very hard to instigate Myanmar against China. In addition, a number of websites and Youtube accounts have been set up to deliberately slammed China, demonize China, while promoting herself and trying to cover-up her expansionist policies.

At the same time, while China was trying to reduce her population, India is trying to increase her population with the intention to over-take China in terms of head-counts.

India's deliberately sent her warships to patrol the South China Seas is another clear indication of her aggression expansionist intent.

ISIS And The Uighur Threats To China

In its first-ever direct threat against China, the Islamic extremist group known as ISIS, in a recent video released, has vowed to "shed blood like rivers" against the Chinese people. Its Uighur fighters, now fighting in Syria, have vowed to return to Xinjiang, a province in Western China, to launch 'jihad' against China.

ISIS is the acronym for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, which has been identified by the UN as a terrorist organisation.

The Uighur extremists, some of whom have joined and fought side by side with the other fighters of ISIS, have accused the Chinese government of suppression and repression.

Who are the Uighur Extremists?

The Turkic Uighurs are a predominantly Islamic community with deep racial and ethnic ties to Central Asia. For centuries, the Uighurs have co-existed with 12 other ethnic groups in Xinjiang, under the protection of successive Empires ruling China.

Till about 1912, Xinjiang was a part of the Qing Empire. After the demise of the Qing Dynasty in 1912, the status of Xinjiang switched between autonomy and complete independence.

In 1933, a small group of Turkic Uighur insurgents revolted, defeated the local government, broke free from Chinese control and established the Islamic Republic of East Turkestan (also known as the First East Turkistan Republic). The following year, China reabsorbed the region.

In 1944, taking advantage of the internal weakness of China caused by the invasion of Japanese Imperial troops during World War II, and emboldened by the Soviet Union's quiet support, the Turkic Uighur rebelled once again and declared independence to set up the Second East Turkistan Republic. However, this self-declared independence lasted only five years.

In 1949, the Communist Party of China (CPC) came to power, after establishing full control over the whole of China and creating the People’s Republic of China. During the same year, the CPC regained complete control of Xinjiang.

In 1955, Beijing classified Xinjiang, which accounts for about 16 per cent of the country’s total area, as an ‘Autonomous Region’ of the People’s Republic of China.

Today, the Xinjiang Autonomous Region (XAR) is home to about 23 million people, from thirteen major ethnic groups, the largest being the Han community (40%) and the second largest being the Turkic Uighur community (35%)).

Nostalgic of the times when there was an independent Xinjiang, some Uighurs see China’s control of the province as a form of imperialism. The more radical among these, like those belonging to the extremist East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), have called for secession from China.

Foreign Interferences

With instigations and supports from the Modi Administration and the previous Obama Administration, these Uighur extremists are getting bolder by the days. China would have to ensure that foreign interferences are nib in the bud whenever potential troubles are detected, before they become full bloom.

Despite the latest and strongest nuclear bomb test, as long as North Korea's nuclear activities don't contaminate China's northeastern regions, China will avoid imposing overly aggressive sanctions on North Korea such as a full embargo on North Korea.

If China completely cuts off the supply of oil to North Korea (as what Japan and US are calling for), or even closes the China-North Korea border, confrontation between the two is likely to occur. If so, Washington and Seoul can boldly shift the responsibility of the North Korean nuclear issue to China. That does not fit China's national interests.

So the US and Japan can howl as loud as they like, but China will still maintain the lifeline to North Korea. A wise stance! And congratulations to North Korea for a perfectly successfully hydrogen bomb test! God Bless!

The Americans are trying their best to create a tense situation in Korea, better to start a war away from their homeland and the dead will be the Koreans and the Japanese, to justify their military presence and hegemony in the world.

They are the ones raising tension and trying to start a war but putting the blame on China. They will be the first to pull the trigger.

The Americans are clear and present danger to world peace. Everyday, everywhere, they are conducting wars and threatening to start more wars.
