The Philippines is going down into chaos. Marcos Jr should be fearing for his life

Mercenaries entered the home of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo, while he was having a meeting with his constituents. One of the armed men walked further and once he had eyes on Degamo, he then shot the guard in front of him… https://t.co/O9LgB19w0Fpic.twitter.com/kAEcqf0FVM

“My government will not rest until we have brought the perpetrators of this dastardly and heinous crime to justice,” President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said in a statement.

The country has a history of political violence, as well as Islamist and Communist rebellions. Over the last month alone, Lanao del Sur governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr. was wounded in a brazen attack that left five of his bodyguards dead, while the mayor of Maguindanao del Sur, Ohto Caumbo Montawal, was wounded when two gunmen shot at his vehicle. In the northern Philippines, vice mayor of Aparri town Rommel Alameda and his companions were gunned down by men reportedly wearing police uniforms in yet another attack last month.  RT

After Duterte brought order and stability into the Philippines, now we are seeing it being turned into a state of violence and anarchy. Soon martial law is going to be declared following a military coup. And one Asean member is going down. Would this be the beginning of the breaking up of Asean? Would this be the beginning of turmoil, tension and war in the South China Sea. Would any banana republic in Asean think they should meddle with the Philippines like they are meddling with Myanmar's domestic affair, thinking that all is well in their own banana republic?

See how fast the Philippines is being taken down? With a month, 4 governors/mayor were being shot by armed men, rich armed men that could afford the best uniforms and equipment, and even came in 3 SUVs that they conveniently abandoned after the killing of the governor of Negros Oriental. These gunmen are very rich and well funded.

Can Marcos Jr save the day and his young Presidency? Or would he too be taken down?  Any loudmouth in Asean saying anything about the lawlessness in the Philippines and want to teach the Philippines how to run their country?

Would there be any wise and strong leader appearing in the Phililppines to contain the unrest and uprising?  Be sure that if there is a military coup to seize power from the democratically elected President Marcos, the Americans would be there to support the coup leaders. That is how strongly the Americans would support military coups and regime change against popularly elected national leaders.

How long can Marcos Jr survive and live to tell his story? Dark days have fallen onto the Philippines.

Who is behind the unrest and killings?

Another regime change in the Philippines looks imminent. Lose gun laws and the years of USA colonisation probably left lots of guns in the hands of rebels, drug lords and parties with vested interest in changing the leadership. The military, famous for coups, and of course the drug lords and opposition camps are vying for that to happen. Marcos Jr tentatively had little support from the military side, unlike his father. That is his greatest weakness.

There is a marked change in the attitude of Marcos Jr's towards China in just a matter of months. Much has changed between the period when he was fighting for the Presidency and his actions now. From basically moving closer to China to explicitly anti-China, hyping up small issues into big ones. It is impossible for Philippinos to change their thinking, after being under the yolk of the USA for decades. They have been brainwashed to believe in only one narrative - USA good and China bad. Just like the brainwashed animals in 'Animal Farm'. They have lost their ability to think.

Suffice to say, there must have been much pressure exerted by the USA via the Philippine military, and probably veiled threats on his life. The latest shooting of the Governor of Negros and four others is just a veiled warning to Marcos Jr. Should he be alarmed?

As Duterte said during his Presidency and trying to forge a closer relationship with China - 'If I survive the CIA'. That said it all, and there probably was a veiled threat that put a brake on his attempts to move closer to China. Any President attempting to change the Philippines must be able to rein in the military first and foremost. Otherwise, nothing will change. But the USA will surely not tolerate that, as the military is pro-USA all along, and the USA will come out with all kinds of threats, instigate regime changes using the CIA and their well funded NGOs already working the ground in the Philippines for ages, and force out those who hatched such ideas and enable them to put another stooge into power, controlled by the military.

Marcos Jr said he will bring to justice those who killed the Governor and several others in Negros. Does he know who is behind the shooting? Two of those seven gunmen, three of whom were arrested, were former 'dishonourably discharged' military personnel.

Agree. The assassinations of the governors are veiled threats to Marcos Jr. And looks like he has succumbed and towing the American line.

His stupidity is to allow more bases for American troops, meaning the Americans can bring in more soldiers and more weapons to bring about his downfall.

He is as good as dead meat.

The Philippines is once again an American colony. China would cease funding the development of the Philippines unless it is pure business, pay for what you want. No more freebies.

Get your freebies, ie weapons, from the Americans. High speed trains, new economic zones, industrial estates, just pay upfront.

Marcos Jr also dismissed the Military Commander recently. What do you think this dismissed commander would be doing?

Now the Americans have many more bases to operate to destabilise the Philippines. Inviting the wolves into the house.

Chaos is what the USA wants for the Philippines. After almost losing control of the Philippines under Duterte, the USA is reasserting its hold. They have categorically cowed Marcos Jr to turn away from China and do their bidding. The drastic change in the behavior of Marcos Jr says it all.

Marcos Jr has no control over the Philippine military. That is a undeniable fact. That firing of the Philippine general recently was just an eye wash after Marcos Jr's visit to Beijing. That probably makes Marcos Jr's position even more precarious with more in the military not going along with the firing. The Philippine military is indirectly under the control of the USA, since the days of Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

There was an analytical writeup about why the USA does not consider the Philippines suitable to host the USA command centre in their confrontation of China, after ditching their consideration of Japan and South Korea as well. Everyone knows that the Philippines was the de facto USA stooge in ASEAN. So, why was the Philippines not chosen? The Philippines, then under Duterte, was deemed too risky a move without a USA stooge holding power. Duterte was too gung ho.

That was why there were speculation over that Emperor's edit to Red Dot, the only ASEAN state summoned to the White House, and not the Philippines, to have an audience with the Emperor, LOL. Red Dot is probably not suitable, as one missile will probably end it all.

When chaos erupts in the same format as in Myanmar, with rebels instigating unrest, it will be interesting to see what ASEAN is going to say. Will ASEAN go after the Government of Philippines for crackdowns on rebels?

Can ASEAN survive under such fragmentation? It is happening with the EU and Nato. OK, the usual tagline is 'agree to disagree'. I wish that was and is the intention.

Asean can advise Marcos Jr to be an American stooge and do as told by the Americans. Then he will be safe. But he must be prepared to become another Ukraine when the Americans order him to start a war with China and fight China to the last Pinoys.

Seems like the USA is the only Utopia, the one system that everyone needs to follow.

Look at the infighting between the political divide, the homelessness, the slums, the drug problems and the falling infrastructures. The train derailments are testimony to the decades of neglect. But the USA prefers to let all this fester, prefering to project their attention to Ukraine, South China Sea and instigating regime changes.

Every country has its ups and downs, just like its economy, no matter which system it follows. By the same argument, every dynasty rises and falls and every empire waxes and wanes. It is a nature's way of forcing civilisations to find ways to improve. But there are some whose intent is to prevent others from improving and moving forward and become better than them. Who is doing that wholesale?

The two political parties in the USA have in recent years also alienated people investing in the USA. It is getting worse, banning everything by just fabricating security issues. Without an iota of proof.

Soon, even their own shadow is a security risk for them. They must get rid of shadows.

The Philippines People need Duterte and the Thailand People
need Thaksin to lead.
Both the Two
Leaders did their best to rid their countries of social menances such as drug trafficking and consumption. They also did their best to provude better infrastructure, improve employment and forge social cohesion.
May the People be wise to choose and keep good leaders to lead.

Marcos need not be afraid of the Americans assassinating him. The Americans would not do it, but would pay some military officer to do it. The Americans never kill people for political gains. They only act as the mastermind behind the assassination and regime change.

True, the USA will not want to suffer the stain of assassinating Marcos Jr itself, but they will do it nevertheless, when it matters. Remember, the CIA is not called the 'Assassination
Arm' of the USA for nothing. Duterte knows it well enough to take a few steps back from associating with China. And he survived.

There was, and still, is heavy speculation that the CIA was involved up to their eyeballs in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The story of Lee Oswald and Jack Ruby were used to cover up the trial leading to the CIA and with links to Lyndon b. Johnson .

Now, to make it more plausible about the possible assassination of Marcos Jr, remember that the USA refused officially to admit to bombing the Nord Stream pipelines too. They may not have conducted it directly, but they used Norway and possibly the Brits to carry it out. And look how angelic they profess themselves to be right now, when all evidence still points to them - the agenda espoused by Biden and his insistence about Nord Stream's destruction, the jublilation and celebrations and incriminating phone calls after the bombing, and the question of who stands to benefit most from all that.

But assassinating Marcos Jr is no longer required, as he is well taken care off, obedient, no longer shouting about co-operating with China and instead stoking up tensions with China and even allowing the USA to station more troops, weapons and granting them a bigger presence in the Philippines. Such a drastic change!

The CIA must be very busy these days, what with the Philippines and Taiwan. Lets hope they do not bite off too much they can chew. China must keep a close watch over the evil United States of America. I hope the warning from China sinks into their thick skulls. No more pushing China around. Red lines are drawn, cross at your peril.
