Dr Wan Azizah - Woman of the Year

Stand by your man. This is what Wan Azizah has done all these years when Anwar was down and out, and accused of all kinds of vicious crimes that not many wives could accept or tolerate. Many wives would be so demoralised and would have given up on their men. This woman stood by Anwar in good times and in bad times. Anwar is so blessed to have such a great woman on his side, as his dedicated and devoted wife.

Wan Azizah not only did that, she did everything to protect Anwar, his interests and well beings. She did everything for her man, to be freed and be Prime Minister again. In the midst of all the politikings, she kept her cool and planned her every move for her husband locked up in jail. She formed a coalition with the man that brought down her husband with the condition that her husband would be pardoned, freed and be the next PM. She swapped her safe seat in Permatang Pauh, a seat she fought and kept for Anwar, with her daughter, so that during the interim period she would still be the Deputy PM, to keep a close watch on Mahathir, in case the devil has other plans. In this she has the support of her daughters and Lim Guan Eng, to make sure Mahathir keep to his promise.

She had done it. She has made it possible for the release of Anwar, fully pardoned by the Agong, to become the next PM of Malaysia. She singlehandedly won the Premiership for Anwar. What a woman!

This is a wonderful woman, a great strategist, a great woman who stood by her man in the darkest hours of his life when everyone would have written him off, to die in prison. She kept his dream alive and turned it into reality.

Wan Azizah is the Woman of the Year not just in Malaysia, but in the World. She made everyone proud of her. How about a Nobel Peace Prize for her instead of degrading this prize by giving it to scoundrels and warmongers that committed war crimes against humanity?

PS. Southernglory emailed this to me.  Dr. Wan Azizah was one of the top students of College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. She was the MacNaughton Jones gold medal winner in 1977. She was the 1st Malaysian to get this award which started in 1916, given to the best in Obstetrics  and Gynaecologists.

For a foreign lady student competing in a male white dominated world of medicine in Ireland and win such a prestigious award is an outstanding achievement.

The whole world salutes her. Wan Azizah is awesome. A great wife, mother and politician. Anwar is most blessed to marry such an extraordinary soul-mate. She deserved to be given the title "Malaysia's Greatest Daughter". She has created history and future generations will read about the great sacrifices and exploits of Wan Azizah. A truly Malaysian heroine.

Some humour from across the Causeway.

Retirement age in Malaysia has been raised to 94.

All shops are banned from selling inflatables, dingies, tyres etc that can be used to swim across the Causeway.

All the judges, AGs, senior officers, bank officers and UMNO leaders etc have been stopped from leaving the country pending investigation.

Also the managers of Malaysian Sovereign Debt Fund have their bank accounts frozen.

Some senior police officers have been queuing up overnight outside Anwar's house waiting to ask for forgiveness.

Dr. Wan Azizah, the proud and stoic daughter of the state of Penang is the heroine not only of Malaysia but should I say also the whole of ASEAN countries. She is the perfect example and model for any woman to learn of the true and pure qualities that a woman would want to have.

Is there any woman in America or Singapore especially those lurking in the corridors of power who can measure up to Dr. Wan Azizah's calibre and standard. I should say practically none. They only know how to cling to power, riches, wealth and glory and are full of egoism and narcissism.

Dr. Wan Azizah is like the white lotus flower which stands and shines in clarity and purity above the murky water in the world of dirty politics of the Barisan National era and evolved in good standing as the proud heroine of Malaysia.

Probably, in ASEAN one woman that could be on par or match or better than Dr Wan Azizah is Aung San Su Kee ( NObel Peace Prize winner). With due respect to Dr Wan Azizah, she should be nominated & win the Nobel Peace Prize. In Sinkieland, if oppo Dr Chee SJ win in election, his Taiwanese wife should also be nominated for that prize as well, it's a matter of time that Sinkies voters wakes up.

Dr. Wan Azizah not only is a highly qualified gynacologist but she is also a very stoic, wise and humble person who is highly respected by Malaysians of all races.

Her husband Annuar Ibrahim who is also highly regarded and respected by the people of all races had twice been charged and imprisoned with fabricated lies and falsehoods, all due to wicked and evil political motive. But glad to say the truth has come out and Annuar will be vindicated and soon he will be free to take his rightful place in society and in the political arena to serve the people.

Annuar Ibrahim is very stoic and highly intelligent. He stands tall above Nazib and his band of evil accomplices in Barisan National and also above many of the egoistic and narcissistic politicians in some ASEAN countries.

ASEAN needs someone like him and his wife to take charge.

Eagles Eyes.

Mahathir is draining the swamp.

Najib, prior to GE14, was said to be confident of a two-thirds outcome in favour of UMNO. That was how confident he was then, and that must be why he did not 'run road' fast enough. Now it is too lat,e trying to con the people that he was going on a holiday with his wife. He underestimated the intelligence of the people, thinking that kampong folks are not aware of what he is doing, because they do not read the news he propagate.

Some politicians made preparations well in advance to 'run road' just in case.

The moral of the story is that politicians must never underestimate or think that voters are daft and will always remain daft. They remain daft when the going is good, but may not be so when the going is intolerable. There is always a tipping point in everything.

And a further point to note is that political parties and politicians cannot be in power forever. Even military dictators ruling with iron-fisted hands have fallen from grace throughout history. Like Marcos, Suharto and Saddam Hussein. You can never expect the unexpected.

Malaysia’s king has agreed to pardon jailed opposition icon Anwar Ibrahim at once, newly installed Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Friday.

“The [king] has indicated he is willing to pardon Datuk Sri Anwar immediately,” Mahathir told a press conference, using a Malay honorific.

It came a day after the 92-year-old was sworn in after a shock win that toppled the country’s long-ruling Barisan Nasional coalition led by Najib Razak.

At the same time, Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mongolia, oops I mean Rosmah Mansor, are to be investigated for frauds, corruption, abuse of power, manipulation of the election system, conspiracy to cheat the Malaysian People, Government and UMNO/BN and duplicity in the murder of the Mongolian girl, and complications in other alleged murder cases.

In the mean time, it is said that their passports have been withdrawn and they have been speculated to be under "house arrest",

The greed of having absolute power leads to absolute consequences. The fate of the couple is now in the balance, due to their own doings.

For those who havenyet to meet their end game, please be warned and be very afraid. Your turn will come. It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when.

For those who have suffered under the hands of ruthless dictators, keep up your spirit, sanity and resolve. Every man has his day. Your day will come. Soon. Very soon. Your revenge will be swift and sweet.

No man or woman shall dictate how you use your own sweat and blood savings. Divine Justice shall be served.

Cheers!

Mahathir's victory a warning shot for Singapore's

For far too long, Malaysia and Singapore have been exceptions to the rule that rapid development tends to bring democratization in its wake. Among their East Asian neighbors, as the economies of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan advanced, their political systems came under pressure to open up and democracy expanded a notch or two.

This did not happen in Singapore or Malaysia. While their economies expanded in leaps and bounds, both remained one-party states. The two share many other similarities. Both were colonized by the British and both have multi-ethnic and multi-religious populations. Their cultures are also very similar. Yet while every other country in the region (except for Brunei which is an absolute monarchy) have changed governments on a fairly regular basis, Malaysia and Singapore stubbornly kept the same political party in power since independence.

In Malaysia, this party was the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). Until Wednesday, UNMO had won every election since 1955. By all accounts, it was on track to win the 14th general elections as well. In fact, Najib Razak, the prime minister and head of UMNO, was so confident that he told his inner circles that he hoped for a two-thirds majority in parliament. By midnight Wednesday, it was clear UMNO was in trouble and by 5am the next day it was out, its six-decade hold on power broken by Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

In just about every way this was an incredible result. Not only is Mahathir 92 years old, his new political party, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) was suspended the same week Najib dissolved parliament. BERSATU was forced to use the logo of Parti Keadilan Rakyat(PKR),Anwar Ibrahim's party. The victory was the result of an uneasy alliance between Mahathir and Anwar, who was sacked as deputy prime minister by Mahathir in 1998 and was jailed shortly after that.

Part one tbc:-

Virgo49 said...

Part Two:-

Nobody gave BERSATU a chance at the start of the campaign, but the people have spoken. Even the old, simple kampong (rural village) folks knew to vote for Mahathir, whose win makes him the world's oldest elected leader. One of Mahathir's famous mantra is "Melayu muda lupa" or Malays forget easily, but it seems more likely they chose to forgive Mahathir his many authoritarian moves while he was in power. Najib and UMNO's brand had simply become too toxic. The Malays' political psyche says you should not challenge your leader but the corruption allegations had become too big to ignore.

The kampong folk may not understand the full machinations of the 1MDB financial scandal but they understood the spectre of grand corruption. Malaysians know UMNO is a business patronage machine but Najib's 1MDB scandal was just "too much". If there was no 1MDB and no $US680 million deposited into Najib's personal account, he would probably still be in power today.Meanwhile Singapore has been ruled by the People's Action Party (PAP) since 1959, almost the same number of years as UMNO was in power. On the surface, PAP appears to be strong.

In the most recent general elections, held in 2015, PAP's share of the popular vote increased by about 10 per cent, reversing after years of decline. Many would argue that the increased vote was primarily due to the death of Lee Kuan Yew six months earlier; Singapore's voters wanted to give LKY a last hurrah. The nation is due to hold its next general election in two years'time and Lee Hsien Loong, the current prime minister, will hand over power to the so-called 4G (Fourth Generation) leaders.

No corruption allegations akin to 1MDB have been made about the PAP leadership but there is persistent unhappiness among Singaporeans over the escalating cost of living and the paternalistic style of PAP rule.

The standard joke is PAP actually stands for "Pay And Pay" party.Given Malaysians and Singaporeans have a fairly similar political culture, the dismissal of UNMO by their Malaysian cousins may prove inspirational. As more and more Singaporeans associate PAP with surging costs â and a planned hike in the rate of GST confirmed earlier this year the PAP brand may become toxic as well.

Ordinary Singaporeans already have a negative view of the PAP elite, who graduate from the best-known universities, hold the most prestigious scholarships and serve in the Singapore Armed Forces before entering PAP politics. They are seen as totally removed from the hard lives of ordinary Singaporeans.History has shown that once a ruling party's brand turns toxic, voters act. Japan's Liberal Democratic Party was in power for 38 years, a lengthy stint but one dwarfed by UNMO's and Mexico's Institutional Revolutionary Party's 71-year span. These parties knew all the tricks of staying in power but eventually they were overtaken by longevity fatigue.PAP could be the next to fall.

Hi Darkness, welcome back.

Light has returned to Malaysia. Hopefully it will last and things get better for all Malaysians.

One fact cannot be ignored is that the PAP has evolved into a One-Man Party. Yet outwardly it pretends to be operating on Team-work. It is Lee Hsien Loong that is the Supreme Leader. He calls all the shots, each and every shot fired. Nobody dares to defy or offend him. The cost of defying or offending him is too high. It means millions of dollars of salary, bonuses, perks such as Directorships and secondary switch-off appointments. Plus the careers of the whole family down the line will be affected.

Singapore is no more a parliamentary democracy. No more elected presidency. No mote meritocracy. No more pragmatism. No more caring society. They have become just empty slogans for the sake of pulling spider-webs over public eyes.

Even the Parliament now belongs to LHL alone with a few stooges, such as Shamefulgum and Disgraceful, doing his biddings. The 4G minotars are a bunch of spineless and colourless clowns with no moral principles and no personal convictions. Money is the only driving force for their souls.

In fact, the situation of the PAP is worse than that of the BN. Although no 1MDB but has Temasick Ho's Ding and the GIC, plus all the GLCs. These three combined, if exposed, the ramifications would most probably hit the sky.

Daft and kia-si voters have themselves to blame if things are worse than what it seems to be.

With Mahathir trying to take control and make all the important decisions for Harapan without consulting the other major parties in the coalition, it shows how wise Wan Azizah is to swap her Permatang Pauh seat with her daughter. She anticipated this and saw the danger of resigning her seat for a by election for Anwar to get elected.

If she remains in Permatang Pauh, Anwar's base, she would have to resign her position as Dep PM. You can imagine the worse when she is not the DPM and Mahathir refuses to abide by the deal, and Anwar for some reason did not get elected. The Anwar PM dream will go up in smokes.

She is thinking 10 steps ahead when dealing with Mahathir.

It was reported that the Malaysian Police have cordoned off Najib Razak's residence. A mobile police station was also set up nearby to monitor people going in and leaving the ex-PM's residence. However, there was no sign of Najib or his wife in the residence.

One of Najib's other houses was also raided by the Malaysian Police and bank accounts of his family members were said to have been blocked.

Investigations have begun to look into many complaints made against the ex-PM, his wife and children.

He has been forced to resign from UMNO and BN by his own close supporters and relatives.

Fake news or not? Check out and verify for yourself with other sources.

If Najib were to take over Anwar's Prison drab, then his seat will be Vacated.

Wan Azizah no need resign from her seat and Anwar can contest in Nasib's Constituency.

Think his supporters already gave up. Anwàr PM, Azizah DPM.

Mahatahir will relinquished his seat only on condition that his Son, Murziz be the DPM.

The main reason that Mathathair fought so hard is to see his Son in power. Najib scorned his son with no powerful position.

As Najib Razak was fighting the election that would end his controversial prime ministership of Malaysia, a former official of his political party quietly entered Australia’s Villawood detention centre to visit an inmate at the centre of one of the biggest scandals of Najib’s reign.

Two weeks ago, Datuk Khairul Anwar Rahmat, the former Head of Najib’s UMNO Youth Wing, flew to Sydney and, with the approval of Australia’s Department of Home Affairs, went straight to meet in private with Sirul Azhar Umar, a former police commando and hitman.

Anonymous said...

In 2009, Sirul was convicted in Malaysia and sentenced to death for the sensational murder of a Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu, in a case widely suspected to have links to Najib. A source told the Guardian that the Malaysian visitor was in Australia to deliver a message to his countryman: “Don’t say anything”.

Sirul is under pressure from Australian authorities to prove he did not mastermind the killing if he is to be deemed not a threat to the Australian community and granted a protection visa. His case is due to he heard within months and questions remain over whether he will be willing to implicate others in order to secure freedom in Australia for himself.

The killing of Altantuya Shaariibuu
One night in October 2006, Sirul and another member of Najib’s elite security contingent kidnapped and killed Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Altantuya Shaariibuu's ghost refuses to die because she was with child when she was brutally murdered and her body was disintegrated by military-grade TNT explosives. So actually two lives were exterminated, not one.

Altantuya, a Mongolian translator, was the former lover of Najib Razak’s adviser and confidant, Razak Baginda.

Anonymous said...

The Brutal And Horrible Murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu and Her Baby

Altantuya Shaariibuu was forcefully abducted in front of Baginda’s Kuala Lumpur home and driven to a remote clearing in a forest on the outskirts of the city. There she was shot dead with a high-powered semi-automatic gun and her body destroyed with military grade explosives, blewing into smithering, with thousands of pieces spreading across a widespread area of the forest, making the evidence unerasable.

Sirul and his fellow officer were found guilty of the murder in 2009 but no motive has ever been established. Neither of them had met Altantuya until they forced her into the back of a car. They had been directly engaged by Baginda to stop her harassing him for an alleged US$500,000 she claimed she was owed for her assistance in negotiating a French submarine deal.

The horrendous crime dogged Najib’s time in office – but a direct link between him and the murder has never been established. Najib has always denied any involvement or ever knowing Altantuya. So was his wife.

Escape To Australia

Former Malaysian police commando Sirul Azhar Umar was sentenced to death in absentia in his country for the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Sirul escaped to Australia in late 2014 when he was out on bail waiting for the judgment on an appeal against his conviction.

When that conviction and death sentence were upheld by the Malaysian federal court in January 2015, Australian Federal Police arrested Sirul in Queensland after an Interpol alert. He was later transferred to Villawood.

With no time to pack, he left behind a thick trail of evidence. Page after page of his diaries listed high-powered government contacts, such as the chief of security for the prime minister and various other senior officials in the Deputy Prime Minister’s office.

Anonymous said...

Sirul Had Unwittingly Implicated PM Najib Razak?

Three days before he was taken into custody in Australia, Sirul sent an SMS message to a close associate with ties to Malaysia’s intelligence agency.

“Greetings boss. I am in difficulties here. I want 2 million Australian dollars before boss (you) come to meet me… after that I want 15 million ... I will not return to Malaysia ever boss. I won’t bring down the PM.”

Four and a half hours later, the man replied: “They want to discuss.”

When Sirul was first incarcerated in Australia journalists were able to visit him. Just weeks after his arrest he reportedly told Malaysia’s online newspaper, Malaysiakini: “I was under orders, the important people with motive (to murder Altantuya) are still free.” He told the Sydney Morning Herald: “I am the scapegoat.”

After his detention, it was suggested that Sirul was gearing up to do a “tell all” interview from behind bars in Villawood.

Behind the scene something must have been arranged between Australian Authorities and Malaysian Authorities, because soon after, Sirul had become off limits to journalists. Multiple requests from the Guardian and other News Agencies have been rejected by the Australian Government.

Nevertheless, on the other hand, the Australian Government has allowed Malaysian Officials and their Middlemen to meet with Sirul regularly in the Villawood Detention Centre.

In the mean time, when Malaysian Airline's MH370 was missing in 2014 Australian PM had demonstrated his uncanny close relationship with PM Najib. Why was he so busy body in taking the lead to "help" throw off the Chinese and Malaysian search parties from searching the Diego Garcia region to the diverted region near the Antartic, in a wild goose chase?

Anonymous said...

Pakatan Harapan is supposed to be fighting for a Malaysian Malaysia. Wan Azizah and Anwar are opposing the appointment of Lim Guan Eng as Finance Minister because he is a Chinese. They said Chinese cannot be Finance Minister because this is a Malay country.

The leopard never change its spots. DAP should break away and join UMNO under new terms of a Malaysian Malaysia if UMNO agrees and form a new govt with Najib or Hamidi as the PM.
