Likely the driver is a young guy and the rich wife is over the hill. So he has to suffer every night kena torture u know. U think this money easy to earn meh? Though my friend always suggested just cover her head with a paper bag. Not sure but it helps to a certain extent.

Buddhism is deemed to be a religion for the poor. It still is.
The concepts of rich and poor are irrelevant in Buddhism. It is about detachment of worldly things. Just live quietly and minimise desires and cravings and thus lesser joy and pain.
Equanimity and a state of void are the goals, eternal peace.

Buddhism, and some other religions, is a religion that encourage the elites to rule forever. Thats why the elites like it when people turned to buddhism and do not like it when people turned to religion such as protestants who have the tendency to challenge rulers. Just look at old china, india, thai etc.
Living very long is not meaningful if you cannot live in essence of truth, kindness, beauty (nature).
