Celebrating Singaporean - Judge Philip Pillai

It is not often that I praise anyone in public or any public officer. The way Judge Philip Pillai conducted himself is highly professional and highly respectable. He knows his job, his rights and what is within his jurisdiction. By upholding the dignity and integrity of his office, he commands great respect from everyone, and I think even his enemies will respect him, for upholding justice and principles.

He has lifted the judiciary a notch higher in the international arena. And everyone in the judiciary and the legal profession, including Singapore as a country, has Judge Pillai to thank for.

Judge Pillai is the epitome of what a civil servant shall strive to become, and be respected in an honorable way. Be truthful and professional in the execution of your duty and responsibility, without fear or favour. This is the only way to command respect and bring a good name to the profession and to oneself and to one's country.

Anyone who compromises his professional integrity will live to regret it later and no amount of money can make it look right again.

Whilst Justice Philip Pillai is doing the upholding of Justice, there are many making and committing injustice that may come under Justice Philip Pillai's jurisdiction and purview.

So, me am afraid that a swallow will not a Spring maketh.

My apology.

'that may come under' should read

when his term ends, pillai will not be reappointed. but he can always go back to being a practicing lawyer. unless of course if the lau sai society says he has bipolar. i don't think nus will take him back.

If the opposition parties form the next govt, Pillai will be top on their list for appt as Chief Justice.

What is the difference between bipolar and senility?

Which one is more detrimental to one's ability to carry out one's professional duties?

If bipolar means that a psychiatrist must certify you to be mentally fit to practise .... then what about senility?

I must say this judge got BALLS!

In this world, sadly, few good men are rewarded. It is those who lick balls who will get the promotion. This happens in business as well as in politics. Mind you, some of these ball likers are followers of religious organisations. Bi-polar lah. Potray themselves as holy and screw people from behind for personal gain. Sad!

His BALLS is certainly bigger than a little red dot!

Remember the Judge who did not find JBJ guilty. Where is he now.

I don't think you are doing him a favour by praising him - it will be the kiss of death. He will soon be moved somewhere else, "retired" or find himself quitting for "personal reasons".

A judge that has such a glittering credential is difficult to remove or tarnish. And the social media is there ever ready to cry foul.

Social media is fast to promote or condemn a person based on isolated information. Social media can also be hijacked to further one's own agenda.

He is an honourable judge. Dare the langgar the gods! Respect him.

As far as condemning a person, the social media is still new to the game. Need to learn a lot more from the old media. They are veterans and have highly qualified people to do it professionally.
