When the rebates stop coming
Landed properties owner can expect to pay between $570 to $1209 more for utilities this year, according to Today, or a monthly average of $78 for electricity. That should be chicken feat as these are the rich people. The increase is definitely affordable.
For those in 3 rm and smaller HDB flats, they will receive rebates of up to $330 which should be more than enough. Bigger HDB flats will get a little lesser. So no problem also.
What if the rebates stop coming in? Looks like the hardlanders will have to be dependant on rebates for the rest of their lives.

The Singaporean Govt will always look after the needy. Rebates and help will never cease. Those who do not need financial assistance will not get help. All available surplus will go to helping thos who need a helping hand. So what is so bad about that?
'Rebates and help will never cease.'
who told you that?
The rebates and help will never cease, but neither will the increases in utilities, transport, school fees, parking etc. Yes, it is bones and feathers for you and me and drumsticks and meat for the government. But, we must not complain. Just bear it like a person who is deaf, blind and dumb lah.
I must agree with anonymous.
Rebates and subsidies are 'vote buyers' — by installment. The govt ain't stoopid...
you are correct. You can check HDB rentals in rentinsingapore.I found this site useful.
