Mr Lee donates his entire salary to underprivilege people
In year 2002 to 2006, Mr Lee donated all his salary to the children of cleaners and firefighters. Now he has promised to donate his entire 5 year salary to the underprivileged people. He also pledged to donate the bulk of his personal wealth to the underprivileged except for a retirement home.
The newly elected South Korean President Lee Myung Bak told the reporters on Sunday.
This is a tough act to follow. But who would want to follow such an act? No right thinking man would want to do such a foolish thing.
I admire this foolish guy greatly. And I believe the South Koreans will have a lot of respect to such a selfless man.
PS: Not sure if the South Korean President is entitled to a lifelong pension on retirement.

South Korean President Lee Myung Bak is a millionaire and he can afford to donate his presidential salary. This gesture signals his sincerity in leading his people and not on monetary award. Unlike the local 2 LEEs, who have no qualm in helping themselves to more money when they are millionaires and quite possibly billionaires.
I'm not impressed. As alreadcy mentioned - he is independently wealthy.
Donating his pay is not selfless. He is acting in his own self-interest, i.e. it is a selfish act.
For a moment I thought it was the local Lee !!! Couldn't believe my eyes.
For a moment I was thinking, that's something beyond belief and an April fool's day joke. Then I realised it was not who I thought it was.
We must be thankful and count our blessings if they do not increase their pay again soon. The thought that they will give something back is just unbelievable.
actually it was meant to be an april fool joke.
but for whatever selfish motives he has, singapore will be better off with more selfish people like lee myung bak.
i admire this type of selfishness and selfish people.
