Not necessary for 6.5m population
Ngiam Tong Dow has reviewed his thoughts and felt that the population target of 6.5m needs to be reviewed. This is an old number done many years back and the changes in technology has made this number not so valid today.
I think he is feeling the sense of frustration and despair among the population on this push for 6.5m. He is calling for a rethink.
Sad that with so many brilliant brains, it needs an old master to tell them what to do. Don't they think? Are they brave enough to relook at old premises and say, hey, they don't look right?

The figure may be revised upward, cause they may use a bigger mistake to cover up an earlier boo boo.
Then we will all pack sardine.
And when doomsday comes by, there will be 1 million flying out, and 6 million beggars left.
ya, to prove themselves right, someone might just say our island can take in more people. so 10 million maybe the revised target.
good thinking.
You all have no fucking hope or faith at all.
Shame on you!
The most happening cities in the world are also populous. And because space is premium, awesome skyscrapers get built.
To me there is no building quite like a skyscraper. Marvelous!
And at the end of the day, you want a place full of WEALTHY individuals.
Capitalism ensures that everyone gets what they deserve. With 6.5 to 10million, look at the size of the bloody market?
You fuckers want to make money or not, or sit on the net all day moaning and groaning on the blogs?
Jesus Fucking Christ, with such negativity and sullenness, you must be painful to live with ;-)
when we see a bowl bursting, we have to caution against bursting it.
economic progress must go hand in hand with the quality of living.
