tension continues to build up in the north
Khairy is reported to take his battle to Penang and using the same agenda, diverting the hate to the Chinese community, pitting the Malays against the Chinese. He is a dangerous animal on the loose.
Though Badawi is a moderate and well respected gentleman, during this period he needs all the goodwill from all the communities. The way Khairy is setting the agenda and the terms of engagement, he could destroy himself and take Badawi along with him.
And the Malaysian Chinese community better be more circumscribed, take a step back and do not allowed themselves to be cannon fodder again. Things can turn bad over night.

Just as the Malays in Singapore have to put up with a Chinese-dominated government, so too the Chinese in Malaysia. If they don't like being cannon fodder, the door is always open for them to get their arses out of Malaysia. Since Singapore is now talking of increasing their population, I am sure they won't mind taking in the majority of the 6 - 7 million odd Chinese Malaysians into their ranks.
in politics, the unevenhandedness is expected. but to use it as a tool for personal political interest, even as sacrificial lamb and bloodshed, it is totally unacceptable.
You obviously have no idea how politics is being played over there. No politician worth his salt will hesitate to use racial issues to further their political goals. It's an evergreen, time and tested method to get ahead.
that's very true if you are referring to bumi politicians. they had bloodied the streets of malaysia once. the second time round will be the last time that it will happen and malaysia will truly become malaya if it happens.
Even without a second May 13, the process of Malayaisation has begun. Notice the ever declining birth rate of the Chinese population. At independence they formed almost half the population, now it's down to about 25% and at current trends they will only constitute less than 15% in 20 years time.
quite possible. malaysia could become like indonesia when the non bumi population dwindles to less than 10%.
singapore of course will benefit from the non bumi population shifting down. actually the malaysian non bumis are the best potential citizens. more similar to us than china or india.
