GE2020 - VOTE FOR CHANGE - Part 1
One PAP's eager-beaver candidate said, "If elected, I will review the reliance on foreign labour...."
I simply say only:
1. Even if elected, he is just a peanut MP in the PAP Dictatorship. Even if he is selected to be a member of the Cabinet, he stil has no power to review, unless the PM says so. Therefore, he was simply trying to con the voters, thinking that Singaporeans are stupid.
2. Even if he has been tasked to review, he won't be alone. A committee would be appointed. He will only be a member or Chairman of the committee. The other members of the committee have their inputs too. Therefore, whatever reviews there may be, the recommendations are yet to be formulated. Therefore, the result is uncertain and unreliable.
3. Even if the committee recommends drastic deviation from the present over-reliance of foreign labour, it's recommendations may not be appointed by the Cabinet, and ultimately by the PM.
4. Even if the committee's recommendations are approved in principle by the Cabinet, there are bound to have modifications or ammendments before the final draft is sent to the PM for approval.
5. Even if the PM approved the committee's recommendations, the result may not be what the people want.
6. Even if the result of the review is what the people expect/want, it is only just a fraction of the whole list of what the people want The PAP or any caring political party to do.
The people want:
1. The PAP to stop converting foreigners to become New Citizens from now on. Ways and means must be sincerely and vigorously found and implemented to ensure local Singaporeans' birth rates increase to sustainable levels. No more easyy and lazy way out by importing foreigners.
2. All top level and middle level management and leadership jobs and professions must be given to local Singaporeans without any excuse. If local talents are not sufficient or not capable, it is the Singapore Government's sole responsibility to train, groom and mentor them to acquire the skills and wisdom necessary for our nation. No more easy, lazy and miserly ways out of this issue. If the Old Guards could do it with a smaller and less educated population, why can't the present self-praised and self-rewarded "outstanding" set of PAP ministers do so? No excuses.
3. The CECA must be revoked and terminated for good. In addition, the people want the PAP to impose a strict quota of only 1% for any foreign company to employ foreigners, and only as consultants.
4. The full amount of our CPF savings must be returned to us at age 55, as promised or made understood and accepted originally. Whatever legal amendments or new laws and regulations made to affect otherwise, in order to delay our withdrawal date, must be made null and void.
5. Whatever insurance schemes that deplete our CPF savings must be declared illegal and immediately cancelled and stopped. No excuses are allowed to hoodwink the less intelligent populace
6. Our HDB flats, at the end of 99-year lease, must become our private properties and not return to HDB. HDB shall have no more legal rights to our HDB flats forthwith. We should be allowed to manage our HDB flats like private condominiums and issued with our Strata Titles.

7. Raise citizens salaries and bonuses to be equitable (not equal) to ministers' salaries and bonuses. For example, if our PM's salary is six times that of the US President, then our workers' salaries must be six times that of the US workers, in any occupation.
8. No more COE. Let Singaporeans purchase cars or any vehicles by drawing lots based on quota. One person can own only one car.
9. Reduce National Service to six months. Establish a standing Army with regulars as the main forces. NS men are only to be used in times of war. They can be mobilized and trained three months before outbreak of war.
10. Abolish the People's Association, CCC, RC, Town Councils. These organizations mainly serve as PAP's eyes, ears, hands and legs under the illusion of serving the People.
11. Last but not least, revamp Singapore's political system to that of a modified US system, instead of remaining as a parliamentary democracy, which is not really a democracy at all. Whatever the new system shall be, there should be real representions by the people from the people of the people. In other words, if 31% if voters voted against the ruling party, there should be a 31% of seats for the Opposition in the House (Parliament) and only 69% of seats for the Ruling Party. The present system does not fully represent the reality in the ground.
