Xi Jinping visiting India, the Indians rubbing their hands in glee...ATMs coming

The Indian playbook to snare and skin foreign investors is very simple and straightforward, no need much grey matter to see through their ploy. But when there are willing suckers volunteering to be cheated, it makes the Indian ploy so QED. The Chinese, Chinaman or overseas Chinese, are no different. All thinks India is the long term future to make a pile. Even being repeatedly cheated, they will continue to crawl to India to give more money to the Indians to play with, always thinking in the long run will surely make profit.

Xi is now leading a big team in his coming visit to India. To the Indians, the Chinese companies are bloated ATMs, all overflowing with money to be milked. Many silly countries have their big companies and corporations being snared and trapped and quietly keep paying and paying, afraid to complain for fear of spilling the beans. Many Chinese companies have been robbed in broad daylight in India by the hundreds of millions and billions. Would Xi go to India and repeat the same fiasco that affected Chinese companies in the past?

India is putting up all its charm to attract Chinese money and investments. The traps are all set for the greedy Chinese to fall in. Did Xi and the Chinese companies learn anything from their past? There is nothing wrong with doing business with India as long as money is held outside India, no pouring in of hard cash on land and assets that would be controlled by the Indians. Never, never take up any share ownership of any Indian companies no matter how attractive the terms may look like now. The Indians can change them anytime they want like changing underwear. Oops, what underwear?

Xi and Chinese companies should stick to the cash on delivery model when doing business with India. No investment in plants, factories or assets. This is a big NO, NO.  Just sell whatever the Indians want to buy, even at friendship prices, but COD. Extending credit is like doing charity to the Indians, or being suckers.

Let Xi and Modi have a good meeting and improve relations and trade between the two countries...BUT no dumping of hard cash into India, for goodness sake. This is especially so for the big Chinese companies and national funds. To the Indians, these are cash cows to be milked or skin alive, down to skin and bones given the chance. Many silly big companies and investment funds have lost their pants in India but too ashamed to admit so. China still has a chance not to fall into the same Indian trap.

A bird in hand is worth plenty of golden mirages in the bush.

There is a saying Never Trust AI or A Indian ( sorry am not racist). Lest u wanna be cheated or betrayed. Guess that Xi & his business compatriots already know how to deal with these South Asian bros. Probably Xi may say to the face of the Indians u wanna do business with us ok but first settle all the grabbing of assets & monies of Small Mi, Oppo & many of Chinese Companies that the Indians had sucked or else no talk...

In my opinion, so long as any move by anyone has a negative impact on the USA, I do not think it is bad. Xi going to India does not mean India is going to gain all the advantage. The lessons have been taught, whether learnt or not is the question. But I do not think the Chinese are that naive and stupid as we think.

Meanwhile, Air India is skinning the SIA fat cat for money, about US$1.5 billion shared between SIA and TATA, two major shareholders. TATA owns 74.9% and SIA 25.1% of Air India. Air India lost US$2.8 billion last year, and the cash infusion is supposed to improve cash flow.

Air India was founded in 2007, taken over by TATA in 2015 and has never been profitable.

Xi only needs to tell brother Modi everything sold to India is on cash basis - COD. No money no talk, lol.

Anon 1:49 pm, you meant the US$1.5 billion paid by SIA will be shared by Tata and Air India. This is standard Indian playbook and the sucker still did not know who is the one cheating him.

US$1.5 billion infusion into Air India is to be paid by TATA and SIA probably according to their holdings. That should work out to about US$400 million for SIA's share, or a quarter of the US$1.5 billion. Sorry for the confusion.

Who do you think is the mastermind to cheat SIA? There will be only one victim paying, and that is SIA. No one else is paying anything.

Air India, TATA, Adani, Modi - all same gang. Who else is paying and paying to who?

Not to worry, Singaporeans are so smart and well connected. They will not be cheated by the Indians. The Indians love Singaporeans. They only got cheated by scams, in the millions.

What would Lee Kuan Yew do to SIA?

Careful. Seventh month is ghost month. But on hindsight, he will say 'circumstances change, so nothing changes. Who dares to argue?

India needs a master. After the British loud occupation, the USA took over quietly, just doing the dictating and after so many decades have now found no usefulness in India to leverage on. On the other hand, helping India by the USA is a non-event

But India will not look for an Asian master to hold the leash. India is looking for another Anglo-Saxon master and is still trying its luck at the G7. The UK is now consigned to the has been, the USA soon to follow. Who else is left?
