I would say that the younger generation today are all apolitical, having little interest in politics and just doing the necessary when election time comes around. In the past the focus was on upgrading buying the votes. That water had already flowed past under the bridge and cannot be used, and now the new focus is all on cars, condos, iPhones, and any new toy leveraging on technology.
So long as life is still good, they have little interest in what comes in the future. And the ruling elites know how to keep them occupied with the trivial and keep them away from focusing on the relevant.

Sinkies are basically train to be selfish, as long as any policies by the G that do not affect them directly, they will just behave like sheep. Those affected by CECA can only kpkb, but come erection, they just become sheep again. The young sheeps are more interested in latest gadget/concert/fashion/games/idols..while their parents are busy working to feed the young sheep need. The parent themselves are either busy repaying debt or behave as good sheep to thanks the G for giving them vouchers.
Hope the fairies keep the fairy tale going in Sinkieland. Japan had its fairy tale days too, but the fairies left and now the people are no longer shouting 'huat ah' and being 'chio'.
Now one ICU patient is helping another regarding the Yen depreciation. The USA is helping the Japanese Yen by buying the currency. Laughable really, as it is the USA helping itself actually. The Yen carry trade in the USA is unravelling and it is detrimental for the USA, which is the reason it is helping Japan to stem the Yen unravelling tide. Never believe the USA is helping Japan. It is all about helping itself. The Japanese can keep believing that the USA is all out to help it during this economic crisis.
But the Japs never learn any lesson over what the USA did to it. Which country has ever been nuked twice and yet sleeping with the perpetrator? Only Japan. Which country had been forced to revalue its currency upwards, resulting in more than forty years of economic malaise? Japan was that country that was doing so well after WW2. All that vanished after the Plaza Accord, perpetrated by the Whites. Yet Japan is still sleeping with the enemy.
Does stupidity have a cure? I doubt from what I am seeing.
