The Global South countries are laughing now

Who is really laughing now? Not the West. The Global South countries are laughing for a completely different reason. They are laughing because they have the privilege of enjoying cheap goods from China. The more the merrier.

I do not think the Global South countries are demonizing China's overcapacity at all. After all, cheaper goods mean better living conditions with room to spare for better education to uplift themselves. If China can do it, so can the Africans, the South Americans, the Middle Easterners and the Pacific Islanders.

The users of Rednote in the USA and the West are crying. Crying because of their inability to enjoy the privilege of buying cheaper EVs and other products from China. Not because they are too rich to buy cheap stuff, but because their government would not allow them to. They have such good government in place trying to protect them from cheap Chinese goods. I am envious, lol.

It was a blessing in disguise for the Global South that China existed today. Otherwise, they would be in deep shit having to pay an arm and a leg to buy even expensive basic stuff from the West. Having to pay exorbitant prices for basic goods means prolonging poverty, highly dependent on the West with debt traps and bending over backwards for the colonial masters. The West does not want them to progress like China, to be able to make the things they needed themselves and being held hostage through being kept in poverty from improving themselves.

The West, particularly the USA, does not want India to progress and this is clearly espoused by USA leaders. Why? They do not want India to become the next China, able to make even cheaper things to compete with the USA and the West. One China is already making the USA panicky, paranoid and at wits end. Whether India can make it or not is not important. The important thing for the USA is to make sure it cannot happen again. Did the Indian leaders heard and take note of the message? Obviously, they did not and continue to brag. Bragging was more important than being able to walk the talk. But never brag in front of the USA that cannot handle the truth.

The Chinese heeded Deng Xiaoping's message - 'Keep a cool head and maintain a low profile. Never take the lead but aim to do something big'. That message sank in. China kept a low profile over the last forty years, never boasting to the world it is aiming to be a superpower or a manufacturing hub. China still does not consider itself to be a competing power. The USA and the West said that to elicit unease for the rest of the world.

The USA and the West meanwhile thought that Chinese chefs and laundrymen have gone to sleep accepting defeat by democracy and can never progress. It was to be the biggest mistake of the USA and the West. They concentrated on fighting forever wars, from one country to another chasing terrorists. China was thought to be just an irritant with a different ideology that had succumbed to democracy.

When the realization that China had progressed beyond expectation, it was now a matter of trying to keep China down and out with trade wars, tariff wars, tech wars and sanctions. But the genie is already out of the bottle. China had already built a moat around itself, controlling resources, controlling refining logistics for rare earth, building manufacturing logistics supported by domestic supply chains, building infrastructures like high-speed railways essential for movement of people and goods and lifting hundreds of millions out of poverty.

What did the USA do over those forty years that China was working behind the scenes? Moving manufacturing to China to take advantage of the cheaper labor and the big market that it wanted to sell to and just printing toiler papers in exchange for Chinese goods. Dirtying hands is not an American Dream.

China did not put a gun to the heads of USA business leaders to move to China as what Trump trying to tell the world. China did not steal USA jobs. That should be blamed on USA business leaders who moved manufacturing and companies to China. The USA's modus operandi is using others to make money and when the going gets tough, just blame those countries, not itself for not looking far enough into the future.

Palki Sharma is still up to her old habit of demonizing China at every opportunity. Is Mr. Hunzi still around to counter his goddess. He seems to have been under sanction by Youtube.
