Democracy good, socialism bad?

The USA and the West, over the last several decades, before the rise of China were harping on their democratic ideology having overwhelmed communism. Communism was equated with everything backward, stifling, unprogressive, poverty stricken and the people can never rise above countries practicing democracy. A great deal of propaganda had to be manufactured to make communist ideology look extremely bad and unpalatable.

China's rise, even as a communist state, put paid to all the propaganda and silence the criticism regarding communist ideology. That war regarding democracy versus communism ideology was put to rest by China's rise. It clearly shows more about what good Government can do rather than harping on the system of Government.

If democracy is so progressive, just look at India, the biggest democracy in the world, where everything does not move forward by sticking to obsolete administrative malaise, inherited from the British. India still does not want to throw out the window the British system of Government bestowed upon India during its colonization, created to stifle India's progress and keeping it poor. It can be said that democracy is a hindrance as far as India is concern.

Now the mantra being promoted is the overcapacity of China in producing cheap stuff which is demonized as bad. Conversely, being dependent on the expensive products of the West is good and needs to remain so. That has even resulted in people having the cheek to tell China to produce less and let the West catch up with producing expensive stuffs to sell to the rests of the world.

When China can produce everything that it needs, why must China be forced to import more similar expensive things to make the Western manufacturing happy and looking good? If a farmer in China can grow his own vegetables, what is the rational trying to force him to buy vegetables from others at higher prices? It is illogical and a miscarriage of justice.

If countries cannot compete against cheaper Chinese products, it is their own fault, so why is it even logical to force China to buy more from others. Is it even reasonable to bring China down to their level and punish those in China and other countries to keep relying on expensive Western products?

Before China became the factory of the world, and when the USA, Europe and Japan ruled the world with their exports, were poor countries given the voices to complain about the trio monopolizing global trade and selling expensive products and laughing all the way to the bank? Now that China is giving everyone a choice and competing against the West, suddenly the problem lies with China and not those that cannot compete successfully.

China is going to be self-dependent eventually, not having to depend on others in every sector. China has a built-supply chain domestically, that no other country can match. It is this supply chain that enables China to be free from depending on outside countries. China knows what it means to be dependent on outside sources when friction arises and calls are made to cripple China by denying those exports to China. The evil mind of trying to blockade the sea routes enabling China to get what it needs is a sounding board for China to do the necessary.

USA jobless claims are at 57-year low. I could not believe my eyes reading that.

57 years ago, how many tents were visible on the roadsides with people depending on soap kitchens for a meal. This alone tells me, something is not right about the claims regarding jobless claims being the lowest in 57 years. I rest my case.

Statistics/Accounting data can be manipulated to show a positive picture. This is well practiced in Singapore by it government. You can also lump citizen & foreigner together and call it residents..haha

We know the USA Government lies about job creation every month. They will revise those figures downwards later, by the hundreds of thousands. Ya, job creation in USA is so optimistic that the stock market has a reason to rise to all-time highs. After all the redneck and hillbillies are convinced and that is all that matters, never mind living on the streets as their lifestyle choice alternatively interpreted.

The irony is that after revising the job figures downwards massively, no one took issue and let it go down just like that. No wonder the USA Government keeps doing that knowing it can get away with it every time.
