Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in Paris on Monday for a meeting of Kyiv's allies to reaffirm support for the country and step up pressure on Russia to end the war, now well into its fifth year.
"We believe that the protection of Europe, requires a global solution of integrated missile defence architecture to deter and defeat future missile threats," said the joint declaration by Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
"By bringing together our defence industrial base, our research, and our operational experience, we aim to build a shared anti-ballistic missile capacity for Europe," it said. CNA
The Russians are coming, the Chinese are coming...we need to build up our defences to stop them, to fight them. These are the best war cries coming out of America and now Europe. The American terrorists have been living on these lies for decades and have made their silly allies and cronies to believe in these same lies for the same period. And the silly allies and cronies just choose to believe in them for reasons known to them.
Why is believing in these silly lies good news? For one, the Europeans, mostly bankrupt, will have to spend more money, borrow more, in military weapons that they cannot afford. They can keep fanning the threat from these lies, and keep on wasting their limited financial resources on unproductive but destructive warfare, like supporting the fight against Russia in Ukraine. The bankrupt European countries cannot afford any war. The smarter European states are staying out of this deluded war cries, spending efforts and resources on their economies. Leave the silly warmongering to those that are willing to dig their own graves. Yes, forget about rebuilding their dying economies, follow the lead of the Washington clowns to spend more money against self created strawmen as enemies when there is no real enemies, no real threats.
The biggest gainer when the white savages are engrossed in warmongering is China. China needs not do anything, let the enemies continue to make mistakes. China only needs to continue to trade furiously with the Global South and friends and watch quietly from a distance at how the dimwits in Washington and Europe fight the shadows they manufactured to lie to their people. China and the Global South cannot be more lucky and blessed to see the white men driving themselves into bankruptcies and irrelevance, and believing they are doing the right thing to control and rule the world like before.

I believe that China and Russia are hoping that the Middle East war between USA and Iran just goes on. As more drones and missiles are expended, more warplanes shot down, more soldiers die, China and Russia will feel much safer and that goes for the rest of the world as well.
All that China need to do is control its rare earth magnets for making more weapons and the rest will take care of itself. The USA just added a few more Chinese companies to its list of entities for sanctioning, including Ali Baba. The Chinese side responded immediately by upping its own list, no talking, no shouting and no posturing now. More than that, China is telling the rest of the world that it is not going to tolerate any country trying to smuggle Chinese rare earth magnets to the USA by putting the same restrictions on them if they do so, using the dual use interpretation. We all have read about South Korea and India doing this already in the past. India should not complain about pressure from China over rare earths for doing what they did. China must stamp down hard to cut off every avenue that leaks.
There are talks that Trump is thinking of putting boots on the ground in Iran, as he realized that bombing is not doing much good and just inviting heavier retaliation from Iran. I believe Iran is just like Vietnam, with deep underground bunkers that are immune to bombing. The USA just dropped a bunker buster bomb on Kharg Island. What for when all the infrastructures are above ground? Just for show or for fun? This is going to disturb a hornet's nest.
Up to today, the USA Congress and Senate have not yet classified the present conflict as yet a war to rein in Trump's war powers. I am flabbergasted. Boots on the ground will be a different matter as it means 'war' with a big 'W'.
If an invasion of Iran does occur, Vietnam version 2 is on the cards. How many troops can the USA afford to send in? It is touted to be only special forces, so how realistic is the plan and what do they expect to achieve. According to analyst, maybe a million USA troops might be needed to carry out a meaningful invasion, much more than in Vietnam, as Iran is such a vast country. Maybe another hit and run to lasting just four to five days again? How long can the USA sustain a full-scale war in Iran? Time is on the side of the Iranians. Logistics favor the Iranians. Geography favors the Iranians. Can the USA carve out a victory? Think of Vietnam and Afghanistan. How long did the USA fought those wars and why did they lose? As body bags are unloaded, the real story will start to unfold.
We have not even talked about the closure of the Bab Al-Mandab, the other waterway leading up to the Suez Canal. Oil prices will go to the moon. Countries like Japan and South Korea will take the hit more than others. But as friends of the USA, they have to be sacrificed. I am surprised that Indonesia is also said to be reliant on oil from outside sources, even with Pertamina doing the necessary. What about those thinking that having huge oil reserves can tide them through?
According to some Arabs, Iran is committing war crimes in the Gulf targeting civilians. I could not help laughing.
Who killed those more than 160 children in a school in Iran at the start of the war against Iran? That is not a war crime? Who had been killing innocent women and children in Gaza? That is not a war crime?
When no action can be taken against the perpetrators, that becomes no war crime and seems to be the mantra? Who started an illegal war in Iraq based on fabrication, killing thousands of innocent civilians. That is no war crime?
What crime did Rodrigo Duterte commit going after drug lords and trying to get rid of the drug menace in the Philippines? So, a war crime is only a war crime if the USA and the West say so. I rest my case.
If the USA and the West are caught eating shit in their mouth and claimed those are candies, you better believe them.
