There are a whole retinue of top business leaders expected to follow Trump to Beijing on the 14th. What are they going there for, since Trump has been making every effort to cut off USA companies from dealing with China - the technology sector especially. China is already well prepared into de-coupling from the USA, so any trade discussion will end up being an exercise in futility. Since the USA was so keen to de-couple from China much earlier, China is helping them in this endeavor if they find it difficult to do so now. Nvidia has lost the China market already as openly declared by the man himself, Jensen Huang. China is not going to welcome the USA AI conglomerates now trying to do business in China. China is a big market for them but is now closed to them for good. Forget about agriculture as China has already found widespread alternative sources for food.
Xi has already instructed Chinese companies not to use USA or Western chips if domestic production is available. That gives Chinese chipmakers the impetus to go headlong into chip manufacturing, with Huawei and SMIC taking up the challenge, including many others. They know such instructions are unlikely to be reversed going forward. Sure, catching up takes time, but let not the USA chipmakers be lulled into a false sense of security that they will always be one step ahead. If they close their eyes like the North American Indians, they will not lose their land, but their pants will be at stake.
Xi's body language tells us who he hates to meet and who he finds pleasure in meeting. And Trump is definitely not one he will cherish meeting.

Why gave the Americunts Terrorists and Mafia Gansgters this type of welcome!
Its damn sickening to see the World's Socalled Hypocritical Leaders dramas amongst themselves whilst the peasants suffered!
PUI!
This clip was the first visit. Not the current visit.
China has not given the coming visit of the global terrorist leader much coverage, with only a side column in the Chinese papers. Instead, the visit of another leader took the center front page news. Trump's visit did not seem to generate much interest to China and Chinese business circles alike.
The USA has practically been written off from the business circle of the Chinese, who are now more interested in the visit of other leaders whom they can expand their export base. China's trade with African is booming, with China having given all African countries, save for one, zero tariff entry into China.
Why talk to USA business leaders when Trump is trying to cut them off from doing business with the Chinese and vice versa, with all the sanctions lists being floated? Moreover, doing business with USA entities is now like a revolving door trade policy, with new sanctions added depending on the mood and whims and fancies of Trump.
China must not even think of investing in the USA now and risk losing its pants. The USA debt conundrum is unsolvable and the printing of toilet papers to keep the US$ hegemony in ICU is not going to go on forever without the US$ being consigned to its main use in the toilet.
