I heard somewhere that Boeing had already been in discussion with Chinese aviation sectors about orders for 500 Boeing jets, not 200, for international service. If that is true, it means Trump is still living under a rock, agreeing to the figure of 200 jets and a making a song and dance about it.
China now has many options buying from Airbus as well, so using Boeing as leverage is no more useful. Moreover, China must also remember that Boeing is one of the top USA weapon's manufacturers within the Military Industrial Complex of the USA. Supporting Boeing is helping the USA to make weapons to target China in time to come.

Right now, the Trump administration people are playing musical chairs, trying to guess who will be out next. Remember that all those who left are chosen by Trump himself and the circus is being repeated as in his first term.
I could not hide my laughter when Trump said that his choice of a new Fed Chief is to make the Fed more independent. Who is he trying to kid? It is more like choosing someone he can control at ease. Of course, the hillbillies will take it lying down for sure. After all they do not even know that tariffs are another layer of tax on them, but some still thinks it is Chinese and other manufacturers who are paying those tariffs. Oh yes, Trump told them so and together with his sidekicks, Scott Bessent and Howard Lutnik, said it is good for the country and they swallowed the lie.
