China is about keeping the cost of everything down. The West is about selling more and more expensive goods

China is not like Japan or Germany, easily taken to the cleaners for trying to be better than the USA. That is the price to be paid if you depend too much on the market in the USA.

China has been able to learn some useful lessons from the humbling experience of the Japanese and Germans. Diverting and spreading out its eggs by not relying too heavily on the USA has been beneficial for China. China did not have to wait for the USA to give permission for it to progress, but just did it, not yesterday, but more than thirty years earlier, building bridges and increasing trade with countries all around the world, helping poor countries to rise to benefit China with a bigger market, securing raw materials it needs, building up its manufacturing base which have resulted in being able to produce goods cheaper than others to dominate markets it goes into.

China has now built up its fortress of independence in many sectors and powering ahead in its export sector and reaping record trade surpluses that unnerves the USA and the Europeans. In the process they are trying to curb the Chinese export juggernaut, even shamelessly asking China not to produce too much and allow them to keep up. Did the world ask the USA not to produce too many weapons for use against other countries or printing too much toilet papers? The USA just ignored what the rest of the world wanted and treating them as mere noises without caring two hoots. It is after all the sole superpower and can do what it wants and brushing aside what the rest of the world thinks. But others have to follow rules they set. That is the hypocrisy.

Chinese Government subsidizing priority sectors had been demonized as unfair trade practices for decades. The USA Government itself subsidizing sectors for decades was never an issue. Hundreds of billions poured into subsidizing the building of chip manufacturing facilities by domestic and foreign companies was not unfair trade practices. The pot calling the kettle black has a new interpretation under USA's Rules based order. I think.

China is always the bad guy striving to make things cheaper for the rest of the world. Making cheaper things means the USA and the West can never compete against, so they keep demonizing China. Everything produced by Chinese manufacturers has been propagated as junk and inferior. If so, why are the rest of the world still buying them? China has never put a gun to the heads of those who refused to buy them, nor those who bought, so what is the hullabaloo all about?

In the past it was always about slave labor, so the rest of the world should not support buying goods from Chinese manufacturers paying slave wages. It was and is a human rights issue. If that was so, why was USA consumers buying iPhones made in China for decades without question about Apple then paying workers slave wages? Why was J. D. Vance caught buying eyeliners made in China with slave wages? Why was he supporting peasants making things cheaply that USA citizens could buy and then trying to raise the issue of China using those US$ earned by peasants to return to the USA by buying its treasuries. Now, China is not even in the mood to sell cheap things to the USA to earn US$ to buy USA treasuries. The USA is now begging China to buy its treasuries. Karma works in mysterious ways, and the mystery is not accrued to just God alone.

Not to forget the more than US$300 million poured in annually to subsidize the manufacturing of propaganda against China. I think those are now wasted in the face of the blowback by the exposure by foreigners visiting China and seeing the realities.

Unfortunately Sindorpore is learning from the USAss to make things more expensive for the peasants. Yet the silly peasants all feel very grateful to the papies for giving them voucher to spend.

The ugly truth is that price increases will never come down, while vouchers are only temporary measures to calm the masses.

Nobody doing business will lower prices once they tasted the bounty harvest. They will cite other excuses, even if oil prices fall. It is to be expected.
