Covi19 - Singapore still assessing Sinovac. Can you believe it?

SINGAPORE — The Singapore government is continuing to assess the use of the Sinovac Biotech COVID-19 vaccine, with its current stock having a shelf life of two years, said a Ministry of Health (MOH) official on Tuesday (18 May).

"The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) continues its evaluation with a view towards hopefully approving it for use on Singaporeans. But they still have a few outstanding items of information they require from the manufacturer in order to be assured that the vaccine is both safe and effective," said MOH's director of medical services Kenneth Mak at a multi-ministry taskforce press conference.

Singapore received its first shipment of the Beijing-based pharmaceutical's CoronaVac vaccine in February, with some 200,000 doses delivered. The vaccine has yet to be approved for use by the HSA.

The above is from CNA. I cannot believe that after so long, Singapore is still assessing the Sinovac vaccine. I smell a strong stench. Did anyone smell anything? No, it is not from keeping the vaccine for so long, it is not coming from the vaccine.

I am still waiting for this vaccine. I don't trust the mRNA vaccines and all the sales talks. I believe many people are also waiting for this more reliable traditional method vaccine.

Why are they taking so long and got so many questions and issues tot ding dong about? What is going on? Sniff, sniff...quite a fishy smell.

Anyone knows what is going on? Why is it so difficult to approve a vaccine that half the world is using it and with no problems? I will volunteer to take the jab, I will sign the indemnity form as well. Would that be ok? I don't need their approval. The millions using it are good enough for me, my approval.

  1. Too much pay, in fact overpaid, makes people complacent, incompetent, inefficient and ineffective. This is the most dangerous disease now spreading in Singapore.

Covid-19 is chicken feet compared to this get-rich-quick, instant multi-millionaire disease.

  2. Since all US allies including those that suck up to them like India are also not using Chinese vaccines, the picture a lot clearer it might be US pressure that Singapore is delaying approval now that WHO already given the nod.

  3. Likely the evil hegemonic US applying maximum pressure on dealings with China.

  4. As I see it, the message the Singapore government is sending to the world is two-fold:

    1. Singapore leaders do not trust the China's traditional vaccines but trust the new tech Western vaccines.

    2. Singapore medical and health experts are not up to the mark and needs a very long time to do their work, and they have totally not an iota of the thing called "Sense of Urgency" when so many people are infected and even more people are worrying everyday for the last one year and five months.

Yes, since the World Health Organisation, the highest scientific health authority, has already approved the Sinovac for Emergency Use, I don't see any good reason why the Singapore Health Authority should keep giving excuses to delay the use of Sinovac.

Unless it is a political issue that the politicians are not willing to reveal.

It is now untenable for the politicians to keep mum, when WHO has already opened its mouth and gave the "go ahead and use it" green light.

Please be fair to your 61% voters, otherwise the few politicians responsible for this health issue may see themselves kicked out in the next General Elections.

    Singapore Voter.

  6. Singapore may also be saying to the world, all their experts are lousy. Singapore's experts are the best and Singapore would only trust its own experts. Others can approve, but their approval is not good enough for Singapore.

  8. Yes, his karma has already shown to all of us that Sleezy Joe is more cunning and cruel than the Dotard.

That's why God took away his wife and children to make him wake up.

But he is still back to his bad old self. Last time, it was to his own countrymen, now it's to the people of the world. This cruel old man will not get re-elected in the next PE. JUST WATCH.

  9. Yes, why our scientists show no sense of urgency at all, ha?

Don't they know that there is an urgent need for vaccines over the last 14 months already.

The PM should kick their asses and tell them to wake up.

  10. When I look at Sleepy Joe, I don't think he is capable of thinking anymore. He has aged a lot since he became the President, maybe he is sick.

Think his cabinet ministers are doing all the thinking for him. He has no energy left in him to think, just going through the motion of a zombie President. He even has problem walking.

  11. In a widely circulated video, believed to have been recorded on Monday, Pragya Singh Thakur, an MP from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, extolled the virtues of drinking cow urine.

“If we drink the urine of Indian cows, it reduces infection in our lungs,” Thakur said, adding “I drink cow urine every day. That is why I do not have Covid right now.”

The MP, who is a member of the Indian ruling BJP party, reportedly made the statement during a hospital visit in which she oversaw the delivery of 25 oxygen concentrators. She made the statement without a mask despite the prevalence of Covid-19.

How can the best take so long to do their work. Covid-19 started in January 2020. Now is May 2021. No fxxking sense of urgency to expedite the process? Your people have been suffering and crying out for vaccines and you have 200,000 doses sitting pretty in cold storage, taking up space and wasting electricity and manpower to maintain. You called that "best experts"? My foot!

You must have a contorted mind!

  13. Bought 200,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine but cannot use, keep it in the store.

Got to ration other vaccine to spread to more people instead of giving the second dose to those that needed it.

What is going on? Who are they trying to bluff?

Need to beg the gangster for permission to use the Chinese vaccine?

    Got balls or no balls?

  15. This case clearly shows to Singaporeans and China and the whole world that Singapore is actually not an independent state but still under the control and command of Western Masters. Shame and disgrace. Past 55 years of independence all Bullshit.

  16. India is one of a kind country. Drinking cow urine will keep the virus away? That is why India is in such bad shape. The whole country is full of religious fanatics.

Oops, sorry cannot say that of India lah. Even people in USA had been recommending injecting insecticides to kill the virus and waiting for summer for the virus to go away. Wonder when is summer in the USA?

  18. Singapore could have all the vaccines it needed if only it is willing to use Chinese vaccines.

For some queer unexplained reasons, it does not seem to be interested in wanting to use Chinese vaccines, showing reluctance or in no hurry to want to approve Chinese vaccines.

What could be the real reasons why Singapore is not willing to use Chinese vaccines and now has to ration the use of American vaccines and ended in a state of not enough and got to do compromised vaccination.

  19. Sinovac knows what is happening. Give reply, they will take time to study, study long long, then go back with more questions, to ding dong and ding dong.

This kind of silly game want to bluff who? Sinovac would not waste time to reply knowing that the intent is to delay and not to buy.

Imbeciles wanting to play game with adults.

Exactly what you said. Even if Sinovac or other Chinese vaccine makers keep on providing information, the West and USA will keep on asking for more. It will never end. That is their modus operandi in all their dealings to kill competitors.

What evidence have the USA produced against Huawei so far? Nothing.
