Covid-19: No Such Thing As Singapore Variant, All New Variants Are Exported From India To Singapore!

The Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) has refuted news reports in India claiming of a "Singapore variant" of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

MOH said that there is no truth whatsoever in the assertions found within the news reports in India.

“There is no ‘Singapore variant’,” MOH said in a statement issued on Tuesday night (18 May 2021).

The ministry was referring to two reports published in India on 18 May 2021.

The first was in 'Hindustan' , an English-language news daily, with the headline "Coronavirus Variant Found in Singapore Can Be India's 3rd Wave, Extremely Dangerous For Kids, warns Arvind Kejriwal".

The other falsehood was publicised on NDTV, titled “Stop Singapore Flights: Arvind Kejriwal To Centre Over New Covid Strain”.

New Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 18 May has warned of a new strain of the coronavirus found in Singapore and said that it can result in India's third wave of infections.

The virus, Kejriwal said, is extremely dangerous for children and he asked the central government led by India's prime minister Narendra Modi to immediately halt air services with Singapore and prioritise vaccination drive for children.

"The new form of coronavirus in Singapore is said to be very dangerous for children. It could reach Delhi in the form of a third wave. My appeal to the Central government:

1. Cancel all air services with Singapore with immediate effect.

2. Work on vaccine alternatives for children on a priority basis," the Delhi Chief Minister posted on Twitter in Hindi.

He is from Aam Admi Party, which is a rival of Mr Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party.

In its response, MOH said: “The strain that is prevalent in many of the Covid-19 cases in recent weeks is the B1617.2 variant, which originated in India.

“Phylogenetic testing has shown this B1617.2 variant to be associated with several clusters in Singapore.”

Comment

It is very clear that this new B1.6172 Variant has originated in India and has been transferred, exported, transmitted, distributed, conveyed, or carried in persons to Singapore. It is not the other way around.

Those who said there is a new Variant from Singapore going to India are spreading falsehood.

Such lies must be stopped!

  1. From these incidents, and the CECA generated problems, we can confirm and reinforce our popular notion that India Indians are very cunning and slimy.

MFA should issue POFMA to India newspapers immediately.

  5. Officials in the United Kingdom are racing to contain a COVID-19 variant traced to the massive outbreak in India.

Experts warn the virulent strain could kill up to 1,000 people per day, the Sun reported.

It could also hijack the nation’s effort to finally lift all its lockdown restrictions by June, according to reports out of London.

“If the virus is significantly more transmissible, we are likely to face some hard choices,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson told reporters on Friday. “I have to level with you that this could be a serious disruption to our progress.”

  12. India is the new fake news capital of the world. Their News Sites are as bad as unreliable as Fox News, BBC and Sky News Australia.

Among the Indian News Sites - WION, NDTV and Hindustan News are undoubtedly the worst. During the China floods several months ago it was spreading fear by reporting that the Three Gorges Dam was on the verge of collapse or had collapsed, and in fact hoping it will collapse and kill millions of Chinese. Right after that the glacier break in the Himalayas caused an Indian dam to be swept away killing many people.

One must never wish bad things to happen to others. It will come back home to roost.

In any case, who in their right mind from Singapore would want to go to India, a country slipping into anarchy, totally corrupt and going backwards by at least a decade after this second wave outbreak? The Indians really think too highly of themselves.

  13. This Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal was reprimanded by Modi not long ago for shooting his big mouth off on TV and had to apologise to MOdi on TV.

He is talking about a third wave when the second wave is still ravaging India. Like the USA, he is trying to find a scapegoat when there are so many other variants now circulating in India.

  14. Now, isn't the virus affecting children the variant B1617 imported from India? What is that Indian Minister talking about Singapore exporting their own B1617 back to India? Very confusing to understand those speaking in forked tongues.

  15. Singapore has started vaccinating children age 12 to 15 has given this Indian minister the fake news to say that a new variant has started in Singapore.

  16. Indian banks need bailing out after this. Who else would want to dump money into India at this time. Only old friends like Singapore will help. The relationship is rock solid.

Modi will roast that Arvind Kejirwal a second time for trying to sabotage the good relationship. That Delhi Chief Minister must have been bought over by Singapore's worst enemy? Not Mahathir I suppose? Hahaha.

  17. Never knew two way trade between India and Singapore was that brotherly. Even importing and exporting viruses to each other.

  18. I was praying that Modi would listen to Kejirwal and stop flights from Singapore.

  19. Russia has become the first country in the world to perform an autopsy (post-mortem) for a Covid-19 corpse. After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Covid-19 does not exist as a virus, but rather a bacterium that has been exposed to radiation and causes human death by coagulation in the blood.

Covid-19 disease has been found to cause blood clotting, which causes blood clotting in humans and causes blood clotting in the veins, which makes it difficult for a person to breathe because the brain, heart and lungs cannot receive oxygen, causing people to die quickly.

To find the cause of the shortage of respiratory energy, doctors in Russia didnot listen to the WHO protocol and performed an autopsy on COVID-19. After doctors opened arms, legs, and other parts of the body and carefully examined them, they noticed that the blood vessels were dilated and filled with blood clots, which impeded blood flow and also reduced the flow of oxygen.

In the body it causes the death of the patient. After learning about this research, the Russian Ministry of Health immediately changed the treatment protocol for Covid-19 and gave aspirin to its positive patients. I started taking 100 mg and Imromac.

As a result, patients began to recover and their health began to improve. The Russian Ministry of Health evacuated more than 14,000 patients in one day and sent them home. After a period of scientific discovery, doctors in Russia explained the treatment method by saying that the disease is a global trick,

    TBC

    ReplyDelete
  20. It is already a well-known worldwide fact that blood clot is linked to the Astrazeneca vaccine.

Similarly, there could also be a possibility that one of the Russian vaccines was the cause of the blood clot.

Moreover, coagulation of the blood naturally takes place when there is no oxygen in the blood. Therefore, blood clots happen, especially so when the dead body has been refrigerated or frozen immediately after death.

So, we need other sources to help verify this "new discovery".

I am sure other countries have also performed autopsy on COVID-19 victims.

  21. The CECA deal must have included the exchange of viruses between Singapore and India. Otherwise, why is Singapore so stupid to have continued to import those infected with India's B1617.2 Bomber to the detriment of Local Singaporeans?

  22. The Delhi State Government continues to insist that there is a “Singapore variant” which came into India.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain insisted, “Wrong to say that there is no Covid strain particular to Singapore. There are many Covid strains in India. I will give you a clarification on the Singapore strain very soon. But be assured that there is a new strain in India (which originated in Singapore).”

This was reported by CNN News18 in India not long after Dr Jaishankar has spoken.

  24. MFA's job is not finished yet. Singapore's cordiality towards India has backfired very badly. Our softie approach is being dismissed by the Indian population at large as insignificant, even though the Indian External Affairs Ministry may have said that Dehli CM does not speak for India.

Take note that the Indian External Ministry has not said that what Delhi CM said is not true.

The Indian External Minister merely said that Delhi CM does not have the knowledge to talk about COVID-19 and the authority to determine flight policy of India. And then he deflected the issue of falsehood by talking about the good relationship enjoyed between Singapore and India.

It is clear that friendliness has been taken as weakness!

MFA has to take one more step (more than just expressing concerns) to put this matter to rest, once and for all.

  27. Delhi ministers still insist Singapore Covid variant is real

Delhi’s health minister Satyendar Jain on Wednesday claimed that there was a different strain of coronavirus spreading in Singapore.

Satyendra Jain’s comment came after the Singapore government issued a statement, objecting to Delhi CM’s comment about the “Singapore variant” of Covid-19, labelling it “unfounded assertions”.

Satyendra Jain, however, continued to defend Kejriwal's remark and said that the Covid variant found in Singapore is different. "There are many strains of coronavirus in India at present... Their presence is ascertained through genome sequencing. It is a different strain (in Singapore) indeed. Whether it is from Singapore, Delhi, America or London, what's important is that the strains are different," Satyendra Jain told reporters on Wednesday.

"It is wrong to say it is not a different variant... The picture will be clear in some time. We will inform you about it," he added.

The Delhi health minister said that the state government had also called for the cancellation of flights from the UK last year. "Then also, it was considered an unwarranted demand. I think we should do whatever possible to protect the country," Satyendra Jain added.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also defended Arvind Kejriwal and accused the Centre of playing “cheap politics” over the issue.

He said, “Kejriwal talked of Singapore variant and the children. The issue is not Singapore but children.”

Manish Sisodia claimed that the BJP-led government was more worried about its image than about the well-being of children in India.

  40. Delhi — Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday (May 18) that a variant of the coronavirus found in Singapore could cause a third wave in India and appealed to the Indian government to halt all flights to and from Singapore.

In a tweet on Tuesday (May 18), Mr Kejriwal wrote: “The new form of Corona that came to Singapore is being said to be extremely dangerous for children, in India it may come as a third wave”.

He added: “My appeal to the central government:
    1. Air services with Singapore to be canceled (sic) with immediate effect
    2. Priority on vaccine options should be worked out for children too.”

This Kejriwal should come to Singapore. We need this kind of talent, can twist and turn, and turn and twist, until no one knows what is the truth. Exceptional talent wanted in Singapore.

  41. Singapore—Education Minister Lawrence Wong said on Monday (Jan 25) that the recent increase in imported cases in the country is not because there are more travellers coming in to Singapore.

Mr Wong, who co-chairs the multi-ministry task force assigned to combat the pandemic, said instead that the rise in imported cases is because of the elevated infection rate in many parts of the world.

  42. Sydney — Singapore is ready to take Australians who can be quarantined in the city-state before they are allowed to return home, claimed an Australian politician named Mr Singh on Australia’s ABC News.

Is this true? Are the imbeciles going to turn Singapore into a quarantine centre? Are they that stupid? The virus will be in the air and can go any where, first in the airport terminal, on the way to the quarantine centre, in the centre etc etc.

All the staff involved and in contact with these people could risk being infected.

    Talking about stupid million hairs?

  45. SINGAPORE — Residents who are staying at Block 506 Hougang Avenue 8 have to undergo mandatory COVID-19 tests after "a few" infected cases were confirmed to be staying in the block, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Thursday (20 May).

MOH did not specify the number of residents at the block who are currently infected with COVID-19.

    This is getting really serious!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Block 506 at Hougang Avenue 8 is directly across the road of an enclave full of eating places and coffeeshops. This is unlike newer estates where eating places are spread out. It follows the old concept of concentrating F & B establishments in one location.

If the cluster here breaks out, it will be much more widespread than only affecting residents of the block.
