Below is a short quote of Fatimah’s speech at Hong Lim last Saturday.
‘Fatimah is a trained architect with an intrepid interest in
globalisation. To date she has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Middle
East, Europe and Japan with active working experience in Greater China,
Australia and Africa. She has immediate family members that have lived
and worked in more than 12 countries partaking in almost all the boom
and bust stories of emerging and developed economies. Where ever she is,
she has no doubt that Singapore is not only home but CORE identity. As
such Fatimah has the first-hand experience as a foreigner in other
people’s country. Since coming home, she has the ultimate experience in
being a foreigner in her own country like the rest of Singaporeans.’
“Middle East experience really opened my eyes. Gulf Arabs have been
dealing with foreigners outnumbering them since 1970s. They have gotten
used to rampant fake certificates and untrue CVs. The don’t even bother
to weed them out. However, the market developed to the point where it is
unlikely that a worker from third world countries will be allowed to
hold key positions. The typical advert will read “Candidate would need
to graduate from a reputable university”. “Reputable” refers to western
countries, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong and perhaps Malaysia. The salary
of a true blue Singaporean working for Emiratis is easily 2 or 3 times
that of an Indian or Pinoy as the Emirati believes that we can get the
job done and not them.
“Hiring practice governed by law have to prioritise Emiratis, followed by regional Arabs”
Back in Singapore, because of racial and nationality enclaves foreigners
are able to pay themselves well. They boasts how much better paid they
are then we are and keep us out in the picture. By the way, out there we
are paid as much as ang mos if not better. You see, it is rare for the
Ang Mo to have a skill that we do not have. Hiring practice governed by
law have to prioritise Emiratis, followed by regional Arabs. Then
reputable nationalities fill key positions, others occupy rank and file
positions. Nationalities from countries that perceived not to be
reputable have very little chances of even occupying middle management
roles….”
The full text of Fatimah’s speech is posted at TRE under the heading
‘3rd PWP protest speech by Fatimah Akhtar’. It is worth reading to see
how Sinkies have been shortchanged and programmed to think and behave
like fools in their own countries. It shows how smart the Arabs in Dubai
were in the way they dealt with their foreign workers and putting them
in the right place. It also shows daft we are to be bullied,
discriminated and blackmailed by third world rubbish talents. It is
really a sick joke, that first world talents are fearful of third world
thrash and hold them in awe.
I think what the govt can actively do is to lease an island from the many islands from Indonesia say on a 300yrs lease period plus 300yrs extension option.
ReplyDeleteThen turn the island into 2nd Singapore.
What is 6.9M?
We can then have 10M to 20M population.
Sinkies have really been screwed in the ass by the miw's. I've always thought we were smarter than the Arabs in the Middle East. On this particular matter, we are certainly not. Maybe it is not about being intelligent. Come to think of it, it is just a plain and simple common sense decision.
ReplyDeleteRB it does not matter whether sinkies are first talent or not. It depends whether the rulers are on your side or not ,Tio Bo?
ReplyDeleteIt is near impossible to talk to Indons or Malaysians on such matters. They would not think like Sinkies, when everything is about money and profits. They feel more than they think.
ReplyDeleteJust accept the fact that you are a LKY slave in LKY land, blindly trust LKY party, grassroots in LKY activities and blindly vote LKY party every election and you and your family will have million dollar salaries soon.
ReplyDeleteIt does not matter whether you are citizens or foreigners, so long as you are loyal to LKY, you are a good cat.
fuck lee hsien loong n his running dogs n bitches ...
ReplyDeletei so happy that my hope for kuan yew to live long is realised ... old fart please witness the depatrure of your beloved ..
unfortunately many other sick and aged are shocked looking at their medical bill ... better dead than falling sick n seeking medical treatments in singapore.
knnccb ... to those blood sucking bastards
I really don't understand these anti-foreigner fuck heads.
ReplyDeleteOn the one hand they complain bitterly about the fact foreigners are being paid MORE than locals, and are not keeping quiet about the fact. i.e. they are rubbing the locals' noses in it.
The on the other remaining hand, Singaporeans complain that a whole bunch of foreigners work for LESS than the locals, thus apparently (i.e. no proof, just ill, xenophobic feelings) "depriving" locals of employment.
Make up your fucking mind lah. Or not. Just leave it. Continue to blame foreigners for everything. Why don't you add global warming to the list of blameable ills?
Cunty Fuck Heads. Making Hong Lim the center stage for the showcase of the locals bad thinking and unproven fatuous, xenophobic theories.
Got logic?
Tomorrow very busy -- not time to blog. So fuck you all -- every last one of you -- in advance ;-)
Good lord, he's making sense, right to the core, speech or no speech, if every dick heads goes up the stage and give their own pool of shit, then what are we actually saying.
ReplyDeleteI left after hearing that speech actually and so did my friends, if we leave the ft's off the hook, then what are we actually there for???
This is the problem I have with Singapore's so-called "democracy movement". It's turning out to be one huge collective national bowel movement with shit flying everywhere.
ReplyDeleteTo make a good point stick, always have the BEST COMMUNICATORS deliver the message. Bad speakers and bad speeches reflect bad thinking from lousy communicators -- you lose value for your cause and gives the adversary a free kick.
Better to coax these idiots into shutting the fuck up instaed of embarrasing the cause, and those associated.
