So, they are now admitting that they do not have the
ability to survive in competition with a very 'effective economic
system'. That means China's communist system is now too competitive for
their liking. Is this a wake-up call by Katherine Tai, or just gathering
more ammunition to justify further confrontation with China?
For
decades, have the USA and the West have not been spinning the mantra
that the capitalist system under their democracy is triumphing on every
front, and that the Chinese communist system is not up to their level as
to be able to compete with them? All the propaganda financed by the
West are backfiring.
In the past several decades, the USA and the
West were so arrogant and boasting about their democratic system that
is touted to be all conquering and annihilating the communist system.
How arrogant they had become can be gauged just recently when ASML was
reported to have said that even giving the Chinese the blueprints for
the lithography machine, the Chinese would never be able to build it.
Why is it different today? They were so arrogant that they refused to
see what the Chinese were up to, and when China overtook them in various
sectors, they became desperate coupled with neurotic behavior trying to
pull China down. The USA is not really trying to compete against China
but is trying to pull China down so that they can appear to be still on
top.
All that spinning about the impending collapse of China can
continue, but the reality is it is not China that will collapse first.
China is refocusing its economy, moving away faster from e.g.
property-centered investments into technology like semiconductors, which
China is intent to dominate. China's shipbuilding has also grown
exponentially and extensively over the years, from a shipbuilder of low
repute into a shipbuilding giant eclipsing even the likes of South
Korean shipbuilders in the process.
Do not bet against China in any sector that it wants to prioritize and dominate. Take that as a friendly advice.

The majority of top chip designers and engineers in American chip making companies are Chinese. Without these Chinese scientists and engineers, or when they decided to return to China, all the American chip making companies would have to close down.
Morning All,
ReplyDeleteSinkieland Leaders still thought that the West is the Economic Wheel that turned the World Round.
LaoRan Wong visiting Germany and France?
Why? To join Asia NATO ah?
At least Goldfish Eye is paying a homage to China.
That's why now I gave up Arowana and LouHans Fish to have Goldfish.
Goldfish the Emperor's Fish of China.
Cheers
We have yet to see the consequence of Chinese scientist and engineers leaving the USA for China.
ReplyDeleteAs in other areas, producing more engineers and STEM graduates to fill skilled jobs is not that easy and it takes years of education starting from scratch. How long is that going to take? A generation at least and in the meantime, what are those chipmakers, for example, going to do? Twiddle their thumbs and wait?
This is another good example of the USA shooting its own foot. Trump is to be blamed for igniting the anti-China rhetoric that is causing a chill wind to blow across the USA - not just in manufacturing but in universities and research as well.
