The presidential election is just a fuss

The presidential election is just a fuss.

Let's get real. The strict criterion adopted is already to ensure the favoured candidate will be elected come what come may. Having said that under such stiff criteria not even President Jokowi of Indonesia, President Dladimir Putin of Russia, President Anwar of Malaysia and President Xi Jing Ping of China are qualified to be presidents. And yet they are national figures of high calibre, of outstanding quality, of grest illuminating character of selflessness and great sincere devotion and delegation to serve their national interests with luminating fervour and patriotism. Can any of our functionary incumbent politicians measure up to any one of them? None at all. We have shown that the president and all the ministers and MPs and senior civil servants ( though not civil at all ) are nothing but eunuchs on puppet strings manipulating by a clownish damning puppeteer.

Our nation founding leaders like Lee Kuan Yew, Dr Goh Keng Swee, Lim Kim San, Rajaratnam, Hon Sui Sien, Dr Toh Chin Chye and Ong Pang Boon were also outstanding leaders who really devoted themselves to serve the people and the nation. Hope leaders of such high calibre and quality will return one day in the not too distant future to bring the nation around and to prevent foreigners of usurping power all over the island in either government or government linked bodies or linked companies.

A very worried citizen and fearsome for our future generations.

  2. Tai Chong. I am also very worried that the country is slowly being taken over by foreigners. But felt helpless as majority do not see it that way. Even housing is enslaving our youth paying for four walls till death.

Indeed, the helpless majority don't know what is happening on the opposite side outside the Botanical Garden entrance gate.

  4. The fact is the chicken wings and lollipops have proven too delicious for most Sinkies to want to do away with it.

It is just like the Malays in Malaysia, having tasted the NEP giving them all the advantages in jobs, education scholarships and land rights, telling them to do otherwise is now out of the question.

It is not being hapless. It is just like having been on drugs, moving out of it is painful and tortous. They are like the living dead now.

  5. Mahathir abused the NEP to bribe the bumis by using state fund, as scholarship, sending many underqualified, to study arts and religious studies instead of STEM courses. See the difference between China and Malaysia on the contributions of returned scholars.

When Malaysia was manufacturing the Proton Saga, Chinese did not have a single car factory. Today China has hundreds of factories making top end EVs. Proton still making the same protons. Luckily saved by a Chinese company to build EVs.

  6. The deceit goes on. At the top tiers of the Pyramic of society sits the so-called natural aristocrats or superficial faceless elites. They tell the people that without high pay for the politicians, the ministers and MPs and the senior Civil Servants the country may encounter future corruption. Then they went on happily and arrogantly raised their salaries not only illogically high but to sinful strastopheric level unimaginable to all countries on this earth. Do extreme high sinful salaries keep away corruption. No, it does not. Corruption can creep in many different forms and they are all cancerous and dangerous to the well being of the nation. Corruptions like taking undertable money, suspicious government projects tenders, sex favours, secret adultery or sowing wild oats with extra marital sex resulting in silent or loud whispers until they cannot be kept secret anymore and explode full face in the public.

Yes, politicians like ministers and senior civil servants need to be paid a decent reasonable high salary but not a sinful strastopheric salary that blinds their eyes from differentiating black and white, right and wrong, righteouness and sinfullness, self aggrandizement and devotion or delegation to duty to serve the people and country.

When they see so much money in the hundreds of thoudsands and millions it is difficult to get them to understand anything when their salaries depend on their not understanding it.

Thus it boils down to upright character and personal integrity. How many of our politicians can measure to that? Remember the Chinese have a 'Dumpling Festival' commemorating the suicide of a Prime Minister in protest to the Emperor for tolerating all the highly corrupted ministers and psychophants in his corrupted government.

You can say the presidential election is both a fuss and a farce.
You are not wrong in saying that.
