US Equipment Might Be Stored in Singapore In Future War With China - US Official

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration official with direct responsibility for the U.S. Army laid out in surprising detail this week a multi-pronged strategy for deterring, and if necessary, prevailing in any future war with China.

Elements of the plan include placing more troops in Asia and arming them with upgraded equipment, including ship-to-shore vessels and hypersonic weapons, much of which will be pre-positioned in the region.

“Our goal is to avoid fighting a land war in Asia,” U.S. Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth told an audience at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) on Monday. “I think the best way to avoid fighting that war is by showing China and countries in that region we can actually win that war.”

Wormuth laid out three key components of what she called “campaigning” by the U.S. Army to deter such a war, beginning with coalition building with foreign allies and partners to “complicate” the Chinese leadership’s decision-making.

Secondly, she said, the Army is looking at building “theater distribution centers” in the region to stockpile supplies and fuel, “starting, potentially, with Australia.” Wormuth also named Japan as a potential site, and she suggested that non-lethal equipment might be stored in the Philippines and Singapore.

  1. Good morning All

Our PeeAyam as usual the Papies tactics of fears mongering knew how to capitalise situations that feared most daft sinkies to support his 4G Leaders that are only deemed capable to save Sinkieland.

MOT Presidential followed by early call General Elections?

All these Doggies Asian Ledaers just like the Euro Nuts have NOT the guts and galls to tell off the UAssA only harping their US-China Disputes.

If the UAssA just simply not everyday ate too full looker for fights and bullying, the World where got Tensions?

Now Russia the Savour who opened the Imbeciles World's Leaders of the UassA's tyranny and yet so many still won't dare yo even whisper a protest against them.

  5. There was a time when only the USA could sell lethal weapons to countries they called allies. Not allied countries can never dream of buying weapons to threaten American allies. Even the Saudis were allowed to buy a few pieces and nothing more, not the advanced weapons that could threaten Israel.

Now the Saudis have found willing sellers in China and Russia. South American countries, especially Argentina, is also able to buy the weapons they need to defend Falkland Islands against the British. Malaysia and Indonesia can now buy whatever they need to be big regional powers, not limited and constrained by the Americans. They can buy better and cheaper weapons from China and Russia.

Indonesian military can be many time bigger than the Australians in terms of sophisticated modern and lethal weapons. Australia would have no chance against the Indonesians and no longer a threat to the Indonesians, to talk down and threaten Indonesia.

The Indons were unable to do so before because the Americans would not sell lethal weapons to them.

  6. Hard not to agree with Anon 9.27. What were the conditions when we bought them is important.

That is probably the reality. When war breaks out between USA and China, what Red Dot had in USA weapons would probably be here to be used by the USA and that spells complete disaster by putting Red Dot as the dart board for Chinese missiles.

What is most dangerous is playing the balancing game. One slip and Red Dot might just lost its footing and disappear. Standing on firm ground is still the most reliable and safest choice. Trying to balance itself on a slippery slope and calling it as following 'Principles' is no more than a fallacy.

  7. Russia warned South Korea about helping Ukraine with weapon sales. South Korea should know its place in this region. To the North is bitter enemy North Korea, still potentially at war with them. To the West is China, their strategic market. Both are also strategic allies of Russia. Go and figure it out.

South Korea is facing economic problems right now. Moon was a smarter leader and knows how to play the game. Yoon was probably a stooge, put in place by the USA to rein in South Korea's dilly dallying tactics between China and USA, and place it completely into the hands of the USA, just like Japan.

Both Japan and South Korea had probably been told by the USA to fight to the last man for the USA against China over Taiwan.

      These Americunts are still hillbillies.

Thought they ordered Germany to deliver their Patriot Defence Shield to Urukiane.

Already destroyed even by Scud Missles which are the past by date arsenals.

Now they the Russians and China had new generations Hypersonic Misses.

      Useless Patriots against them.

  9. It sounds better to be an enemy of the USA than being its friend, after seeing all the USA friends being used as cannon fodder.

Being a friend of the USA means you have to fight to the last man - for them that is. The USA cannot call on enemies to do that, can they? Words of wisdom from Henry Kissinger nevertheless.

Little wonder why some allies are now finding it better to become enemies of the USA. Even hardcore allies are dilly dallying - like Israel and just look at France doing the unthinkable.

  10. The USA had been caught spying on the UN. Antonio Guterres just realised someone is spying on him. And what can he do? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

  11. American strategy is to fight outside the American homeland, in other people's lands. So they put military bases in the land of allied countries. Now they want to store weapons and munitions in allied countries. So these allied countries would become the front line states, the first targets to be destroyed. Only when these allied countries are destroyed would American homeland be attacked.

See how treacherous are the Americans, sacrificing the allies for the safety of their homeland.

Are the American allies so dumb? Just look at Europe and Ukraine. They will be the war zones. Their people and lands would be destroyed and homeland America safe and sound.

Now they are encouraging the DPP and Tsai to provoke China and start a war, and let the Chinese kill Chinese while they watch from far away.

  13. Russia already warned South Korean against sending weapons to Ukraine. Russia will arm North Korea if Seoul sends weapons to Ukraine. That is already being said. And Putin always does what he says and those who thinks they can mess around with him better think twice.

  14. China should say and do the same to the Americans. You sell arms to Taiwan, China will sell arms to Russia and whoever is America's enemy.

  19. 200 US military trainers now in Taiwan as US intends to 'turn Taiwan into battlefield'

TAIPEI — The U.S. has reportedly sent more than 200 troops to Taiwan to provide military training to Taiwan's armed forces.

On Sunday, military sources said the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command has dispatched more than 200 military trainers to Taiwan to assist local forces in training and propose improvements.

Among the more than 200 instructors, 80% are from the U.S. army. Most of the American instructors are stationed at new training centers and reserve brigades of Taiwan's Army.

The U.S. army instructors are to provide on-the-spot evaluations of training and will propose improvements. Next year, Taiwan will resume the one-year compulsory service period, and recruit training will adopt the combat training programs proposed by the U.S. military to cope with the People's Liberation Army.

More than 160 of the instructors sent by the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command are non-commissioned officers with combat experience. In addition to being stationed in the main combat units of Taiwan's Army, most of these instructors go to army recruiting centers and reserve brigades to check on basic training and propose improved training methods to enhance the overall combat effectiveness of Taiwan's Army.

In early April, U.S. military instructors reportedly entered Chiashan Air Force Base in Hualien County to re-evaluate the safety of the bunkers, such as explosion-proof and protective facilities, especially the safety of areas where fighter planes and ammunition are stored. In addition, they assessed whether it is difficult for satellites to detect ammunition stored in the open air and the area where fighter jets are housed. They then proposed methods to strengthen bunker security facilities to reduce the damage caused by weapons.

Most of the U.S. Army trainers are stationed in the Taiwan Army's new training center and the reserve brigades, to check whether the training of recruits and the teaching and training of reserve soldiers meet the needs of defensive operations.

The Biden administration has said that it would help train Taiwan's armed forces to fight a guerrilla war on the island.

People in Taiwan will be the ultimate victims if the US turns the island region into a battlefield for a proxy war with China.

Media reports alleged that the US has been considering plans to destroy the island in the event of a military conflict across the Taiwan Strait.

    1. Hi Anon 12.54

The UAss Military trained the Afghans for twenty odd years and straightaway they ran when the Talibans came into view their Mounted Machine Guns on Nissan Pickeups and Jeeps.

So much for their Invincible Marines and Fighting Men.

Also in Vietnam, like Rats scambling into Copters.

Their six footer troopers hands held high by Vietcong sic year old girls with Mark XI single shot load reload rusty rifles.

Where, where got some more all these shameful episodes of their Soldiers surrendering as POWs?

      Too many to mention.

Why worry 200 of them training the eqaually cowardice Taiwanese

They are trained how to drop their weapons and monkeys runs and leopards crawls when they see the PLA soldiers.

      Later then doggies runs.

      Cheers

  20. Kim is becoming an expert in sending rockets up into space. Musk big rocket just exploded. Big rocket that exploded at take off. The explosion must be really big and costing big money. Never mind, Musk has big money to burn. He has been cutting prices for his cars, many times, trying to bankrupt the Chinese EV manufacturers. Wonder who will last?

North Korea, with all the decades of sanctions must still be 'low tech' country. Proves that sanctions really does not work.

  22. This was supposed to be the second attempt. The crowds were cheering so loudly. Then one of the commentators was heard to say - 'getting this thing off the ground is already incredible'. Yes, incredible indeed. Kim Jong Un must be sniggering. Putin must be laughing. Xi must be shaking his head.

As the spaceship was doing a space gymnastics, rotating, they were still saying the rocket was doing a seperation. The next moment there was seperation - The whole rocket separated into a thousand pieces. Success! LOL

Seriously, did they really go to the moon before?
