Migrant workers - Ignoring the 3 wise men

The views of the 3 wise men on relying on migrant workers to boost the economy were stark and clear. Who would think he is smarter than the 3 wise men that built this island into a well organised and first world country?

Who is the 'wisest' of them all, wiser than the above 3 wise men to advocate an economy that is almost solely dependent on migrant workers and would have to live with all the adverse consequences of having so many migrant workers in a minute little island, not a big country where the migrant workers would still be a small fraction of the population? Who would allow the population of the migrant workers to reach such a scale, more than 50% of the island's total population, and think everything will be fine?

Who is this 'wise' man or 'wise' men that made this happened, that allowed this to happen? Would he be proud and brave to own up to claim credit and to take the blame for this dangerous policy that the 3 wise men warned against?

The 'wise' man or men must have the confidence and conviction that he/they are doing the right thing and stand up to be recognised. Or he/they did not think so and thus afraid to be known?

Come, stand up and claim your credit and place of honour for bringing so many migrants into the island and turn it into such an economic success.

  2. They now treat the three wise men as silly old men. The three silly old men were paid pittance in office compared to the 4G. The 3G started the ball rolling and the 4G followed by letting in more and more foreigners and migrant workers to grow the economy, so that they can have more millions in bonuses. Is that not smart thinking? How much more increments in salary and bonuses do you think they will get when the economy starts functioning again?

  3. 3 Cheers For Chee Hong Tat:
    July 12, 2021 at 3:49 pm (Quote)

Mr Chee Hong Tat the Senior Minister Of State was recorded as saying that it cannot be helped that we need to recruit foreign PMETS to complement our local work force. Very Intelligent Indeed.

As we all know and have seen that some of the highly paid PAP Ministers are not doing a good job and are sleeping on the job, would it not be a good idea to bring in Intelligent Foreigners to replace 40 per cent of the current Ministers to do the job ?

In fact we can get them at a much cheaper salary.

Mr Chee, what is your opinion ?

    Above comment posted in TRE.

Waiting for the day when FTs took over and said, 'Can't be helped but to replace all the chiat liao bee politicians with FTs.'

  6. Singkapore's gongkias think they can outsmart them. Got eaten up, bones spitted out, still did not know what is happening.

The xiao tingtongs in Mediacorp promoting Chinese girls to marry them like this is the best thing to happen for the girls.

  7. I spent a few minutes watching Puthucherry's programme on racism. Two comments startled me. The Chinese must be very, very careful in what they said. Many of you could have offended them with innocuous comments without realising it, but they took them as racist comments, kept in their hearts without telling you.

    1. One Indian boy said someone mentioned to him that Indian names were very long. He was offended, that it was a racist comment. Can you believe that?

    2. Another Indian girl was offended because someone praised her for being fair and beautiful. To her this is racist.

So be very, very careful. An innocent comment may not be innocent to those who are highly sensitive and easily slighted. And you could be accused of racism.

I could not bear to waste more time watching.

Woah, liddat how to live harmoniously in tis little island ? It's a waiting time bomb for the repeat incident of the 60s riots.

  10. Singapore has been too peaceful. It needs a racial riot again to shake up things, from the very top to the bottom.

The imbeciles at the top need to wake up their fuxking ideas. The idiotic sensitive trouble-makers at the bottom need to be screwed hard and proper in order to wake up their shitty thoughts.

  11. There was 1 incident back in 2014 in Sinkieland but investigations said due to some drunken episode of someone crushed over by a coach. Then all the 'bl@ck' people united lift police cars, set ablaze & overnight become riot. The Ang Chiah police special force came & saw so many 'bl@ck' people ans were all overwhelmed overrun & scared, some fled and hide. After the incident they reviewed lack of manpower, & the head of police transferred to jaga water liao, case close & lesson still not learnt.

  12. Putumayam is a Trojan horse infiltrated into the PAP central committee, controlled by the careless, neurotic, euphoric, and drunken (with wealth and power), slumbering idiots who still do not know.

    1. Yes, of course. That's why the PAP's candidate selection team has been sold. Not only that. The PM and the Cabinet have also been sold.

  14. According to Ong: "bilateral trade between Singapore and India has grown by over 80 per cent, from S$20 billion when CECA came into force in 2005 to S$38 billion in 2019. And similarly, Singapore’s direct investment abroad in India grew by 50 times, from S$1.3 billion to S$61 billion during the same period." ( https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/ceca-india-fta-ong-ye-kung-speech-psp-immigration-15164076)

Note that the S$61 billion is up to 2019 only.

According to statista.com ( https://www.statista.com/statistics/814441/india-amount-of-fdi-inflow-from-singapore/ ), "the amount of FDI inflow from Singapore to India in fiscal year 2021 was estimated to be over 17 billion U.S. dollars, up from about 15 billion U.S. dollars in the previous fiscal year. Thereby, Singapore remained the most important place for foreign direct investments into India."

That means the 2020 USD15 billion plus the 2021 USD17 billion for a total of USD32 billion or SGD43 billion in the last 2 years.

S$61 billion plus S$43 billion = S$104 billion invested in India up to 2021 so far ??

  15. India now has a strangle-hold on $104 billion of Singapore taxpayers' money, squandered by the idiots who are blinded by greed, instead of being guided by prudence and wisdom. Who is making the recommendations for investments in India. Could it be an Indian man or a few Indian men?

That goes without the need to guess. It's as ckear as daylight.

  16. Must go all out to vote this fake Putumayam from the Snake Pit and the ruthless Ong Toh from Hell, the bullshitter out in the next GE.

My family of 6 voters will move to their constituency before the next GE.

  17. When you know the 'Cabinet' has been sold to the 'Karung Guni' man, you know it will be dismantled into scrap metal. That spells the end of the 'Cabinet' for good.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hahaha

Anon 12.11 must understand that if the PAP wants Putumayam to stay in Parliament, they will move him around at the last minute, so that he will remain in. And the PAP may have learnt the hard lesson in Sengkang, so they will put him in sure safe constituencies if they think he is consequential.

Whatever, they will not put him in Hougang SMC or Aljunied GRC or some near miss constituencies. Where will your family move to?

    ReplyDelete
  19. After the PAP lost Aljunied GRC, they sent in all the minnows to contest. No big fish dared to take the bait. The PAP up the ante by asking Low Thia Khiang to move out of Hougang and contest elsewhere and he took up the challenge. It was a fatal mistake for the PAP.

The PAP thought this move will enabled them to retake Hougang and eliminate Low from the political scene. But even though Low left Hougang and resulting in many changes of opposition candidates, it remained in WP hands till today.

By association, Low and the WP tossed the challenge to Woody to contest in Hougang and the old man to helm Aljunied GRC. No takers.

Rest assured, If Hougang and Aljunied GRC goes back to the PAP, their names will be lost forever in the political history of Singapore, just like Anson, Hong Lim and Cheng San GRC. Who among the younger voters can remember the chequered history of these constituencies or that they existed?

Who among the younger voters can even know that one vote stood between Ong Eng Guan against LKY in becoming the first PM of Singapore in those days of political intrigue. And Toh Chin Chye was the King Maker in the power struggle. Singapore's history would have been different today.

  20. Why they never give update on the 16-yr old boy who kena cardiac arrest days after vaccination ?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Who're the smart alecks who said the benefits outweigh the risks . . the acceptable risks to the policymakers ?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Really Virgo.

And they blamed it on his taking some supplements. Supplements killed him? Is the supplement already banned or what?

    ReplyDelete
  23. The 16 years old boy was killed by the vaccine. They are trying to cover up by:

    1. No giving a coroner's inquiry.
    2. No second opinion to establish cause of death.
    3. No headline reports in the news to let public know.
    4. At first, try to cast blame on him for doing exercises within one week of vaccination.
    5. Later, try to cast blame on a dead boy that he took steroids.

This incident shows the irresponsible and unscrupulous behaviour of some so-called professionals in Singapore.

    Despicable, shameless and abhorrent.

    ReplyDelete
  24. After he was warded in ICU, there were news in the media telling people who had been vaccinated to stop doing strenuous exercise. This is not related?

If it is due to supplements, can sue the manufacturers right?

  25. Looks like there are two 16 year olds involved. Here is today's report in Yahoo News.

SINGAPORE — The 16-year-old boy who suffered a cardiac arrest six days after receiving his first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech/Cominarty COVID-19 vaccine has been transferred out of the intensive care unit (ICU), said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Thursday (15 July).

In its response to Yahoo News Singapore's media query, the ministry said that he has been transferred to a high dependency ward in the National University Hospital (NUH)'s coronary care unit for "close monitoring and observation".

He remains stable and the MOH is still investigating the underlying cause leading to his cardiac arrest, the ministry added.

"Our priority is the well-being of the patient and he is under the close medical care of an excellent team in the (NUH) and our hopes and well wishes are with him and his family for a steady recovery," said the MOH.

The boy had been taking supplements and was lifting weights almost twice his body at the gym when he collapsed on the morning of 3 July, six days after he received his first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty vaccine on 27 June.

The boy was transferred on the same evening to the NUH's ICU in critical condition from the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), where he was first treated.

In the same statement on Thursday, the MOH reiterated that the recent death of a 16-year-old boy, whose obituary went viral online, was not vaccine-related.
