MOM data on PMETs- What is the truth?

Under pressure from MPs in Parliament, the Manpower Minister Josephine Teo released data of past decade (2010 to 2019) concerning the breakdown of Professionals, Managers, Executives & Technicians (PMETs) by industries and residential status earlier this month (4 Sep).

From the data, it can be seen that the total number of PMETs working in Singapore increased from 1.25 to 1.70 million (36% increase) from 2010 to 2019.

However, the proportion of Singaporeans among the total number of PMETs working here decreased from 64.2% to 61.7% while that of foreigners (including PRs) increased from 35.8% to 38.3% during the past decade.

The above is quoted from TOC.

I just have one comment. How many of the Singaporean PMETs are new citizens? Just a guess, if 30% are new citizens what does it say? If 50% are new citizens, what does it say? As they said, the devil is in the details.

Oh, why just 10 years, from 2010 to 2019, why not 20 years from 2000 to 2019?

What do you think?

PS. 'We know for a fact that in recent years, Singapore welcomes an average of just over 22,000 new citizens a year. Latest available figures show that there were 22,102 new citizens in 2016, 22,076 in 2017 and 22,550 in 2018....The fact remains that the country currently takes in just over 22,000 new citizens a year. With at least 110,000 new citizens every five years, they could be a force to be reckoned with at the ballot box.'  From an article in TOC by Augustine Low.

And our annual birth rate is about 35,000.

  1. Based on the above figures, one can conclude that Singapore will be SingForeigns in a fast n furious manner, PMETs r now overrun by new or naturalized citizens comprises of SingaForeigns. When this goes on n on sooner no later this tiny red dot shall be Singa4 for Singa4reigners liow lah, the 4 is like die lah or mati for the real true blues ones ( a genocidal crises of the country natural identity much like in AussieLand & United States of Demoncrazy)..its so sad a scene on tis land.

  3. Matland was on this path. But they have achieved what they wanted, Malay majority. Now no need to be crazy like our imbeciles.

And they have big land to cope. Not this little island that silly leeders want to put in 15m maybe 20m as suggested to test the ground.

Lucky the people started screaming and they stopped to ponder. But the number is still going up, not planned, not planned, no plan, unplanned. It just happened. So move on.

And the foreigners just become citizens, like one of us overnight. No need to do NS. Only the daft do NS. The talented foreigners no need, can become national leeders some more and sit and speak in Parliament.

  5. Implications And Ramifications of Over-Reliance On Unnatural Population Growth

    Facts:

As of July 2019, Singapore's population is 5.70 million people.

As of August 2020, Singapore's population is 5.85 million people.

The figures are given by United Nations, not by MOM (which I cannot, do not, will not and must not trust).

    Why?

    Answer:

For the simple reason that it does not readily publish detailed breakdowns of statistics collected as "it is". It lumps PRs, Imported Citizens and Local-born Citizens together as "Residents" to confuse, complicate and make us guessing. And when we guess not correctly, it will issue POFMA to suppress our will to find out the truth, instead of providing us with the correct figures. This kind of modus operandi tells us that it has something to hide from us. Therefore, it cannot and must not be trusted at all, until and unless it comes forthright with us. We do not wish to play cat and mouse game for statistical data which are readily available and yet we are deprived of.

Therefore, I'd rather trust the United Nations's figures because the UN has nothing to fear and nothing to hide.

    Deduction:

Simple deduction from the above facts:

    5.85 million - 5.7 million = 0.15 million = 150,000 people increase in one year.

Singapore's natural birth rate is 31,000 to 33,000 annually. It used to be 60,000 to 65,000 annually in until the 80's when the Family Planning (Limitation) policy of "Two Is Enough" took its negative effect that caused Singapore's poor birth rate today. (And the remedy to this poor foresight ppolicy by relentlessly importing new citizens and PRs t,o make up the loss, is going to cause an even bigger problem in the foreseeable future).

So, by deducting 31,000 to 33,000 from the 150,000, we get 117,000 to 119,000 unnatural increase of the population.

So, if the number of new citizens is assumed to by 22,000 annually, then that means the number of PRs increase is between 95,000 to 97,000 talons per year.

    Consequences:

What are the implications and ramifications?

May you think of the possible consequences first.

I will give you the answer tomorrow.

    To continue....

  6. The answer is that the PAP continues to be voted into power by new citizens at every 5-year Election!

    ReplyDelete
  7. PAP's goal is to increase Singapore's population by giving out citizenship to foreign talents.

But foreign talents will not accept Singapore citizenship unless they can secure a job in Singapore in order to be able to afford living in Singapore.

Therefore, foreign talents must be given preference for jobs in Singapore.
So we have to make more Singaporeans unemployed in order to meet PAP's population targets.

    True or not?
    You tell me lah.
