Malaysia heading for big big trouble

With Mahathir returning to rule Malaysia and the nonsense he is spouting, the projects he is tearing apart, Malaysia is going to face more troubles than expected. But what Mahathir is going to do to harm Malaysia is nothing if he knows the deck of cards in his hand.

Look at the USA and what Donald Trump is doing or undoing to the treaties, agreements, ties and alliances built over the decades of the American Empire. Get the clue? Donald Trump is a greenhorn in politics, no experience in running a country! And he is leading America to self destruct in the name of making America great again. He just does not know what he is doing. Running a business empire is totally different from running a country. You need people with experience running a country to run a country, or at least some experience in running a town council to start with to run a country. Trump did not have any of these experiences to fall back on.

In Malaysia, only two persons have experience in running a country, in Mahathir and Lim Eng Guan. Mahathir ironically is the only one of two experienced politicians that have the required experience to run a country. The rest of the ministers and MPs are 'bodoh' or ignoramous, in Singapore's definition, with no experience in running a govt. Definitely they have no experience in even running town councils.

See, how can the Malaysian govt ever think of running the country well when nearly all the ministers and MPs have kosong experience to do so? They will be eaten up by the very experienced Singapore ministers and MPs, all very well trained, from being apprentices to being managers of town councils.

I would recommend that Mahathir send his ministers and MPs to Singapore to understudy the experienced politicians here and learn from them on how to run a govt efficiently.  There are many tricks they could learn from the Singapore politicians, like how to raise taxes indiscriminately, oops, I mean cleverly, with clever excuses until the people willingly pay and would not protest. The Malaysian govt can be very rich by increasing the water fees giving the same reasons as Singapore gave to the people, to teach them the value of strategic assets. 3c can sell $1. Or the equally clever sugar tax. Heard of that? Malaysia would have all the money to pay for all the infrastructures with these taxes. No need to delay the HSR and all the mega projects. There is another big area that the Malaysian ministers and MPs can learn from Singapore, the people's nest eggs in the EPF. That is a pot of gold waiting to be harvest. If they still did not know what I mean, just think insurance schemes for the people, to help the people, for the good of the people. The trick is 'compulsory'.

There are really many many good things that the Malaysian greenhorn no experience ministers and MPs can learn from Singapore. And all of them would become instant knows all of everything, become super talent. Oops, they may also ask for million dollar salary to keep them from being corrupt. And Malaysia will be corruption free. Sui boh? Mahathir better work fast to send them here for training before they failed badly and ruin the country before the next election. Talking about election, they can also learn from their experienced Singapore counterparts on how to win and win elections despite all the controversial policies and taxes and fee hikes. See, experienced politicians can do a lot of things and get away with it with no protest or uprising from the people.

Knowing that Mahathir has his pride, he will definitely not want to send his ministers and MPs to learn from Singapore and Malaysia will surely get into big big trouble. How can people with no experience in running a town councils or govt be allowed to run a country? Tsk, tsk, tsk.

PS. Maybe for a start Singapore can lend them a few of our top ministers to raise taxes and introduce insurance schemes using the EPF funds.

  5. The Europeans and Americans are boasting about their 840m population and market. They can manufacture and trade among themselves.

China will manufacture all the goods for the rest of the world at a fraction of their prices and also offer its 1.4b market to the rest of the world. No need to trade with the Americans and Europeans.

See who will survive the competition. They need the Chinese manufacturers to produce goods that are not only cheap enough for the rest of the world and also for their own people. And they need to sell to China and the rest of the world.

Mahathir is one proud Malaysian who rather die than rule his country the Singapore way. With his experience and hindsight, he knows what is good for his people and his country. He will never allow Malaysia to play second fiddle to Singapore. Like Trump, he wants to make Malaysia great. If the PAP government decides to act tough with Mahathir, relations between the 2 countries will plummet. Mahathir has inherited a corrupt system. He has to fix it. Ex-Malaysian KBW is one man whom Mahathir can use but then he has gone to serve a foreign master.

Mahathir will seek the help of the Chinese to bring back the glory which the Malacca Sultanate enjoyed during the Ming Dynasty. Then Melaka was prosperous and flourishing while Singapore was a pirate's haven. Mahathir would like to see history repeat itself. Malaysia with its Melaka Megaport and HSR an economic power in Southeast Asia while Singapore goes back to being a haven for self-serving pirates who enrich themselves at the expense of the citizens.

All over the world, The Voting, Taxpaying Sheeple are fed up with liberalisation, globalisation and privatisation (LGP) that they are "rebelling" against the "status quo" in their respective political economies and voting in Strong Men who campaign on platforms to "be different" and "take back" their respective cuntries.

Whilst LGP has brought the big bux to those who are in the right time and place, the average Jo and Jane Doe have seen:

    1. Real wages decrease (i.e. their purchasing power dwindle)

    2. Job security fly out the window

    3. The value of their savings vanish---so now they have to go out far on the "risk curve" and "invest" (gamble) in markets few of them have any clue about

    4. Subject to more and more bullying from their bosses and the govt (union movement is dead)

    5. Working longer hours, having to take 2nd job like driving Uber

    6. Increased stress, sleep deprivation

    7. Having to shell out more and more to live (inflation)

    8. Sick and tired of massive immigration---either too many Muslim immigrants (Europe) or too many economic migrants "stealing" local jobs and depressing the domestic labour markets

    9. Pissed off at the "deep state"---the powerful, unelected technocrats who are shielded from political forces, and can do whatwever the fuck they like, when they like to whomever they like.

    10. 10% of the top own 90% of the wealth. The 10% of the top 10% own 90% of that again. Clearly, something is fucking wrong!!

    ...etc etc

LGP is DEFLATIONARY for wages, and some "cheap stuff" made in cuntries with "cheap labour". However massive global QE (money printing) is INFLATIONARY for cost of living and asset prices. So you can now buy a pair of jeans for $10, a smartphone for under $100...but buying your fucking home is going to strain your budget for the next 20-30 years...and you better not lose your job or you will lose your home.

You can only push The Sheeple so far. Most of the world's Sheeple are now rejecting LGP and all the politicians who "conned" them (I don't agree: you can't cheat an honest man!), so they are throwing these cocksuckers out and voting in Strong Men who have the capacity to shake things up.

So you get Xi, Putin, Trump, Duterte, Erdoğan, et al and Mahathir. All these bad boys are "don't fuck with me" people. Cuntries about to tip are Venezuela (bankrupt and hyperinflated), Argentina (sama sama), Italy (royally fucked). In Germany, UK and Northern Europe, The Sheeple are sick and tired of their governments, but no changes yet. Akan datang, I would imagine.

Political sentiments are usually contained. However, if you know a little about complexity theory, these sentiments can spread. The whole world is (now) so connected, territorial borders are more a "formality" than actually "real" in the old sense of the word.

For e.g.: We saw how The Arab Spring spread vey quickly from one Arab cuntry to another.

Multinational corporations are so rich and powerful now, that they have financial resources to RIVAL sovereign states. They get into bed with governments, and who gets screwed? The Sheeple.
Who does all the work for less money and security? The Sheeple
Who pays all the taxes? The Sheeple
Who get's the brunt of the surveillance state, hunted down on blogs and forums? The Sheeple who no longer want to be Sheeple and SPEAK OUT against their govts.

Enough is enough lah. If the PAP is not aware of this, they had better wake the fuck up and pay attention.

The government gets the people it deserves 😡

Yah, but the purchasing power of the Ringgit has declined a lot. SGD...not so bad lah.

Also if a supposedly "conservative" provident fund claims to be paying 6% in the last 20+ years, they've probably got a Bernie Madoff running it. Don't forget the number you see on your statement is just a number. You have no idea what types of shenanigans are going on.

  17. Mahathir is not wise to scupper Malaysia's China deals.

Western nations on their own are going to finance and construct infrastructure around the world. The US has been unable to build a single high-speed rail project anywhere on its vast territory. It can’t even manage to finance the repair of old infrastructure, much less invest in anything new. The EU remains mired in deep disagreements about how to manage its own internal finances.

“When we were faced with financial crisis, amidst the wider challenges of the E.U., China helped us,” Greece’s former prime minister George Papandreou said. “China was one of the few nations to buy our sovereign bonds. This was an important vote of confidence. Then China began its investment in the Port of Piraeus, an early investment that is now one of the major components of the new maritime Silk Road. These investments showed great trust in my country’s capacity to overcome the crisis, where few others would.”

  18. Matilah, Malaysians get their interests at 6% and higher and spent their currencies in Malaysia and not Singapore, what's the difference??

Melaka Condo at RM188,000.00 our time in year 1975 and our Sin$ exchange 1.65 or less.

Melaka Apartment at RM88.00 same time. Now the most increased but still affordable.

Our condos and apartments decreased in value but still have 50 to 60 odd years of at least solid ground to stay instead of treading water in Sinking Land if that Red Dot sinks.

Now Melaka Nasi Lemak at RM5.00.
Also, drink clear river, stream or rain water instead if sai chue.

Sin Chai Png minimum now at least Sin 4 to 5 to RM 12 to 15.

Sin pigeon hole at min 2 doomed or roomed flexi at $80 to 100K.

at RM 240.00 to 290.00K or even higher.

So do not compared apple to banana.

Unless the Malaysians wants to come here at Resorts Sentosa and exchange 2.9 to 1 and we up Genting 1 to 2.9.

Apples and bananas? You're way off. I'm talking about currency and their purchasing power.

The "average" Singaporean is still better off than the "average" Malaysian. If the "average" Singaporean cannot tahan any more, he can just cross the causeway and live ~50% in Johor, as long as he is converting, and continue earning his SGDs.

BTW, I haven't been to Malacca for sometime, but KL is no longer "cheap". I worked on a project there earlier this year...before the elections. People were not happy with the prices of goods. Property in many areas was unaffordable, and many Malaysians had 2nd or 3rd jobs like driving for Grab Rideshare.

Whilst it might be true that you can have a teh tarik and 2 roti canai for less than you'd pay at Jalan Sultan in Singapore, if you are a Malaysian earning RM, you're stuck in your cuntry. If that doesn't bother you...fine. But if you want to travel to Singapore, your purchasing power is slashed to...say one third.

Plus if you are Chinese or Indian, you probably have a better shot at life in Singapore. Don't fuck with that fact. Singapore is a lot less racist than Malaysia, and that can affect your economic life!

Anyway, I'm dead against all these govt-run "provident" funds (supposed to "provide" for you later on). They are in DEEP SHIT.

Yes, 6% compounded is exponentially better than 2.5% over time. @6%, 12 years to double your money, plus you're adding along the way.

How much do you need to retire? Much much more than the govt calculated for you!! ...regardless of what cuntry you're living in

  23. RB,

It is not true that there must be people experienced in running a country to run a country.

Lee Kuan Yew Goh Keng Swee, Toh Chin Chye, S Rajarathnam, Lim Kim San and all the other pioneers, they did not have any experience to run a country, yet they succeeded with flying colours!

On the other hand, Goh Chok Tong and ILee Hsien Loong were given all the necessary experience to run a country before they took over the reign, yet both of them failed the people miserably!

Of course, they have used whatever means under their disposal to paint a positive portrait of themselves. However, the fundamental facts remain that the lives of the people have progressively degenerated from the day Goh Chok Tong took over. The degeneration and decay became more pronounced after Lee Hsien Loong took over.

If things don't change drastically within the next five years - if the bad policies are not reversed, if the greedy unconscionable money-sucking schemes continue - Singapore, not Malaysia, will be in for a Big Big Trouble.

PM Lee had returned empty-handed from his last visit to China, his incompetence stuck out like a sore thumb. Dr M will be paying his respects to the Chinese leaders in August. His visit will be scrutinised by an ever watchful PAP government. It will be a big headache for the PAP if Dr M signs new deals that will enable Malaysia to make a Great Leap forward. PM Lee will rue his failure to connect with the Chinese. Dr M will be jubilant if he can outdo his predecessor, Najib and PM Lee, the son of his nemesis, LKY.

  25. Hahaha

Donald Trump knows how to run a company? He ran six companies to bankruptcy. He is going to make America itself into number 7. That will really be making America great again, under another great depression.

As for Mahathir, he is facing big problems for sure. Firstly, by showing his middle finger to those who signed contracts for projects in Malaysia, he is not giving confidence to people to invest in Malaysia for sure. Who wants to take the risk of contracts and agreements being cancelled at the whims and fancies of the government of the day?

His second problem is money, which he does not have, to embark on projects that he promised before GE14. Imposing SST in place of GST is just trying to fool the people. Getting rid of GST did not result in the lowering of cost of living. That is the voters' pipe dream that will never come true!

And the continuation of the new economic policy of favouring one particular race does not sit in well with the other races, whose mandate to change the Government had been a 'New Malaysia' of a level playing field with equal rights for all races. Malaysian racial politics is one of a kind that can never be changed.

Remember it is all engineered by the same man in the hot seat today. He will never change that scenario as long as he is alive. The other races had better live with the status quo for eternity, even when he goes off to meet his bitter enemy in the next realm.

  26. Mahathir wants to lure talented Malaysians back. Maybe he should try to lure Ah Cow and company back. The problem is, he is against paying million dollar salaries to them. So how?

Not to say ministers, even talented Malaysians are not going back to Malaysia and earning salaries that are a fraction of what they get over here. And if you are not a Malay, sorry, no vacancy. So, how?

Anyway, Mahathir is good in thinking up excuses, as he is doing now. He is as good as our departed old master, in deflecting blows whenever the need arises.

  27. Interviewer: You have said that you were worried that some of the politicians today do not have the same qualities as the pioneer generation. What are you hoping to see in the newer and younger politicians today?

Ngiam Tong Dow: In the early days, Lim Kim San and Goh Keng Swee worked night and day, and they were truly dedicated. I don’t know whether Lee Kuan Yew will agree but it started going downhill when we started to raise ministers’ salaries, not even pegging them to the national salary but aligning them with the top ten. When you raise ministers’ salaries to the point that they’re earning millions of dollar, every minister – no matter how much he wants to turn up and tell Hsien Loong off or whatever – will hesitate when he thinks of his million-dollar salary. Even if he wants to do it, his wife will stop him. When the salary is so high, which minister dares to leave, unless they decide to become the opposition party? As a result, the entire political arena has become a civil service, and I don’t see anyone speaking up anymore.

President Obama left office with a US$20 trillion national debt. He accumulated more debts than all the 43 US Presidents before him combined.

President Trump, just in his first year as US 45th President, has already incurred a national debt of US$7 trillion. Now, the total US national debt is $27 trillion.

If Trump continues as the US President for another 7 years, the US national debt would easily hit $40 trillion.

All theis while, WP has been playing wayang to gain sympathy votes.

  42. PAP has been in power since 1959. Come 2019, that is 60 years too long.

To arrest corruption, both legal and illegal, no political party must be allowed to rule the country for more than 3 terms, meaning 15 years. And no Prime Minister should hold office for more than 2 terms, meaning. 10 years.

Anybody who tells you that he or his party must rule for as long as possible is already a corrupted mind trying to deceive you. Such a person must be totally rejected at the polls by all Who aspire to wipe out corruption in any form.

The longer a political party rules the country, the more corrupted it becomes. The fact that a single political party's Secretary-General can behave like a king, treated like a king and rewarded like a king already is a very clear indication that the whole system is corrupt.

The fact that all the three arms of government - the Judiciary, the Legislative and the Executive - take direction, instruction and orders from the PMO means the whole system of government is an authoritarian dictatorship, not parliamentary democracy.

Parliamentary democracy in Singapore exists as a spider web and a joke, to give superficial semblance of choice but, in all practical reality, there is really no choice.

The only choice voters have is to vote in the PAP to rule them again and again, election after election, time after time, either out of fear, greed, ignorance or stubbornness.

It is time for everyone to wake up. It is time to give yourself some self-respect. It is time to claim back the rights you have surrendered to the PAP in exchange for security - physical, financial, mental, emotional, and generational - which of late have been lopsided. And getting worse and worse.

So, vote for change this coming GE in 2019.

China could put its new Russian missile defence system, the S-400 Triumph delivered just last week – which is capable of downing US F-35 stealth fighters – through its paces before the end of the month, Moscow said on Friday, citing an unnamed military source.

The S-400 Triumph is capable of engaging all types of aerial targets, including tactical and strategic aircraft, ballistic missiles and hypersonic jets, including the United States’ fifth-generation F-35 stealth fighters.

  45. Do you no why the US is selling off the F-35?

Al the 3 versions of the F-35 (35A, 35B, 35C) have serious flaws that have yet to be remedied for 2 years already.

    The flaws are:

  46. With latest technology in long-range missiles, and anti-stealth AA radar capabilities, there is no need for superior aircraft to maintain air superiority. In fact, there is no need for air superiority.

And there is no way air superiority can be maintained.

  47. Russia is said to have a new radar that can detect stealth fighter jets.

Yes, the F35 has serious flaws. It is common knowledge, and they spent quite a fortune over the years trying to correct them. But whatever other flaws there may be will never be made public, unlike whatever flaws they can find on things on the Russian or Chinese side.

That is why they are willing to sell it now that it may not be that stealthy with the new Russian radars. As I said before, America only sells weapons that they deemed obsolete, like planes, missiles etc.

If they cannot sell them, the other smart alternative is try to start a war and unload those bombs on the unlucky targets. Maybe even paid for by the people fighting on the side of the Americans against the other side. Talking about killing two birds with one stone!

  48. Air superiority cannot always win a war. Vietnam is one good example.

And the Americans even used chemical weapons then, but the whole world just kept quiet. Vietnam is still suffering the effects of agent orange on vegetation and humans and land mines that blew off legs and arms.

  49. Spending $7.24 billion on 60 F-35 stealth fighters, and another $20 billion to maintain them, is stupidity cannot cure.

What Malaysia needs is to buy long-range cruise and stealth missiles to hit Singapore's airfields from 500 km away.

And Malaysia can also deploy three lines of AA weapons to counter the Singapore Air Force.

Once the RSAF is taken care of, Malaysia can use long-range stealth missiles to destroy all military installations in Singapore.

Malaysia needs not send any troops to invade Singapore. Singapore will just surrender once beseiged for more than two weeks.
