While every country has the right to develop their own defense weapons
to protect themselves, the American outlaw and its crony allies are
saying the North Koreans cannot do so despite the daily threats of an
American invasion. Now the North Koreans are testing their ICBMs in over
flights over Japan and both Japan and the Americans are crying foul.
Did the Americans and Japanese remember anything about freedom of
navigation? Can the North Koreans exercise this right to fly over Japan
peacefully? A missile test with unarmed warhead cannot be more
threatening than B52s, B1s armed with nuclear weapons or American
destroyers similarly armed, flying and sailing in other countries’
territorial waters and airspace.
What are American and Japanese satellites overflying North Korean
territories daily and snooping on NK compared to the missiles flying
over Japan?
The Americans are threatening war again. And so is Japan. Now, would it
be nice for the Americans and Japanese to give the North Koreans a
reason to drop a couple of nuclear bombs over Tokyo or Osaka or any big
Japanese city? Can the Japanese absorb such a consequence and live with
it like Hiroshima and Nagasaki? If not, then both the Americans and
Japanese should tone down their war drums and be more civilized and go
talk to the North Koreans. Threatening a preemptive nuclear strike is
easy but the consequences of millions of casualties in Japan are no
joke. Can Japan afford a nuclear bomb on one of it’s big cities?
The warmongers should stop their madness and use their heads for a
moment and return to sanity. War is no longer an option in the Korean
Peninsula except for mad men and women.
The more the mad men and women threaten war with North Korea, the more
they would lose their credibility unless they dare to start a war. Come
to think of it this is not an issue, not important. The most important
part about all the ratcheting and drum beating for war is that Japan,
South Korea and that Americans would have more reasons to buy more
weapons. And so would little USAs that fear North Korea in their drugged
non thinking leaders’ head and also want to buy more weapons. It is
good for the weapon makers and arms merchants. A lot of money to be
made. The American war machine makers must send a big bonus or
commission to Kim Jong Un for fattening their pockets.
PS. Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all Muslim readers.
Freedom of navigation in the are - it's true leh, how can a country owns the space above its territory with no limit all the way to the moon ?
ReplyDeleteThe North Korean missile was flown at an altitude above 550 km, more than the maximum 500 km that the Japs' anti-missiles could reach !
The Australian ran an article saying a US Expert suspected a Chinese ship travelled behind the cargo ship that knocked at McCain might played a part on the collision.
ReplyDeleteSo US was hacked by China. That is a very serious news. What if US missiles and nuclear weapons are hacked and controlled by China?
US stopped its own operations on 7 fleet for investigation. What had they found?
The prediction of a 3rd collision with private ship should be made, as USS is so easily crashing by private ships. Are these ship working with one radar or several radars? Why not buying more radar left right center all angles? Hacking is something US experts think they are the weakest. US should hire Russia expert to solve the US military problem. Blaming China hacking? China will deny for sure.
One news said China paid India US$20billions as softloan to exchange India s troops withdrawal. China defense spokesman denied. If India needs loans, the next border clash should be after winter. Then another loans will come easy. What do you think of the value of such news?
However, the real news is, there are many Chinamen streaming through causeway to see Forest city at JB. To go Forest city, Malaysia side has special fast lane to clear customs. China s money has value this time: Sultan own the project as partner.
Sinkieland last year voiced it concerned on China s South China sea built up affecting the sea s freedom of navigation. With USS going 6 miles near the islands belonged to China, or in Sinkieland s official perspective: claimed by China, US s freedom of navigation is an interruption to sea lanes.
Sinkieland should demand US to send in the radar equipped USS to Changi base in order not to interrupt the sea trading routes. Sinkieland depends on US s protection. If China can hack into US system to make crashing of vessels, then US should not be doing the sea navigations for interruption. Sinkieland depends on the sea routes for trades, according to ah long s words when supporting the fake Hague Tribunal judgement. The Judgement claimed China illegally owns all the sea islands.
US should be involved in drafting the Code of Parties conduct on South China sea islands. Now Asean and China are talking while USS are doing freedom sailing. US actually is not doing something effective to influence the sea routes. Who care how many USS are sailing on the sea water? Correct? As long as they do not ask for help. The first crash near Japan, the USS almost sank. Who has the money to help when USS sank near Changi sea water, the most crowded route?
Both US and Japan are not in favor of DPRK having missiles and nuke. China also joined this 2 allies. In future, DPRK flies missiles over South China sea to test run on little usa s port for US fleets, China may support sanctions against DPRK too. No freedom of navigation for DPRK because they do not belong to this world.
Does DPRK bother? They have no choice but to show US their strength to ask US to back down. US cannot back off in South China sea, it also cannot back off with DPRK. So Mattis was right: use diplomacy not war. Most sinkies know why Mattis was right: NO money liao.
Actually hor, no matter what, the Americans will never start a war with NK lah.
ReplyDeleteFor the simple reason that if NK is attacked, American allies Japan and South Korea will not be spared from massive suffering or even destruction. So will Japan and South Korea allow the Americans to attack NK?
That's why smart Kim Jong Un even fired a missile over Japan to give the Americans the warning, in effect telling the American bastards to better take heed of his warning. Attack NK at your own peril, and even worse the perils for your allies.
Sorry, Sir Chua Chin Leng, for the Off-Topic:
ReplyDeletePresident Tony Tan reflects on his six years at the Istana: 'It's been hard work but... very rewarding' [The Straits Times]
When I read this, I almost fell off my chair. After that I smiled a cynical smile and laughed a haughty laugh.
Image a KFC statue occupying the compound of the grand historical Istana (Majestic Place), doing sweet FO, except signing a number of papers forced unto him at times, and taking photos for the sake of publicity, drawing millions and millions of taxpayers' money to fatten his own bank accounts, wasting at least $20,000,000 of taxpayers as his annual budget to spend travelling round the world on holiday trips, shaking hands wearing gloves, and not even a squeak from him with regard to the abuse of power and misuse of state organs charges brought forth by the siblings of PM Lee, that tarnished the image and affect negatively the reputation of the Republic of Singapore ...... this KFC statute can claim to have done
"HARD WORK"?????
However, I do agree whole-heartedly that it must be "VERY REWARDING", out of this world type of rewards! Gagi buta in Malay?
Uniquely Singapore, don't you think so?
Actually what is deterring the North Korean or American firing the first shot to start a war is CHINA.
ReplyDeleteChina already declared that if North Korea attacks US territory (Guam) first and the US retaliates, China will not help North Korea. But if the US and South Koreans attack North Korea first, China will step into the war to prevent the collapse of North Korea.
Regarding US and Japanese threats on North Korea, they are behaving like the big bullies they have been. The US thinks they own the World. The puny Japanese think they are a Superior Race just like Hitler and his Third Reich. Donald Trump is a symbol of White Supremacy and the bastard Abe is a symbol of atrocious Japanese Imperialism.
ReplyDeleteBack home, the WOG (Western-Oriented Gentlemen), who studied and tamed in Western Universities through taxpayers' money, think greatly of western powers, especially USA but, clueless as they are they had banked on the wrong horse (mare) Hillary Clinton to win the Presidency and back-fired. Now, desperately trying to carry the big balls of Donald Trump by offering to help in Texas natural disaster, willing to send people all the way to the other side of the globe, to again spend taxpayers' money, while their own citizens are suffering daily just to make ends meet.
You and I know that the US will not dare to bomb North Korea. Any war on the Korean Peninsula will lead to NUCLEAR WAR involving China and Russia. It will be TOTAL WAR! Not just World War III but FINAL WAR ON EARTH!
Can I put in a suggestion to help Halimah?
ReplyDeleteOn Halimah's "Do good do together" slogan: Out of the $1.56 million presidential annual salary that she would be getting as President if elected (99.9% done deal), she should donate $500 per month for 6 years to 240 needy families (total $1,440,000 per year), and keep a still-lumpy $120,000 of taxpayers' money yearly for herself. My apologies but daft Singaporeans always failed to look further than the tip of their nose. They look at what they are told and forgot what is not spoken.
ReplyDeleteAlmost without fail when they talk about the salaries of President and ministers, they simply forgot that the bonus component often is more than the publicly announced salary.
Get it?
How many times you think were the bonuses of Nathan compared to his salary?
How many times you think were the bonuses of Nathan compared to his salary?
ReplyDeleteRB 1:49 pm
Of course Sinkies don't know lah, because it was not publicised mah.
If Sinkies had known, I don't think PAP could get 70% votes in GE 2015.
In fact, that the PAP % votes was only 60%, the lowest in history since independance, can be greatly attributed to the huge minister salary increases in 2007, 1 year after GE 2006.
And PAP knows this, that's why PAP made a huge cut in their minister and even President salaries just after GE 2011, and there has never been any increases announced since.
And Sinkies are very happy with that, so they gave PAP a huge 70% mandate in GE 2015, and also helped by the fact that the opposition contested 100% seats but not being ready to be govt. Sinkies feared instability if opposition had won to become govt in GE 2015, and frankly speaking, their fears are not unfounded.
To add "in GE 2011" to Anon 2.31 pm to make statement clearer.
ReplyDelete..PAP % votes was only 60% in GE 2011, the lowest in history since independance.

ReplyDeleteRB 2:31 pm
If I had known how much is the salary and bonuses of my useless boss as compared to mine, it will definitely affect my work negatively. I may even plan to quit.
So it is a good thing for my boss that I don't know.
It is a good thing for PAP ministers that Sinkies don't know their minister bonuses, or the salaries of individual ministers.
Sinkies know that minister bonuses are pegged to GDP growth, but they do not know how it is pegged.
ReplyDeleteIf GDP growth is 2%, is minister bonus 10x2%=20%, or 50x2%=100%, or 0.5x2%=1% of annual salary?
If it is 100%, then if minister salary is $1M per annum, then bonus is another $1M? Or even more?
In private sector, the company share options for the top management are many times greater than their salaries.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is so huge that they may not even want to have salaries, or like President Trump, take only a nominal $1 per year as salary.
But Sinkieland ministers don't have share options as Sinkieland is not a company, so they have to take big bonuses to compensate for that.
Most important for them is that they must be able to win elections in order to do that.
Kim is clinton good friend. He purposely start all the trouble because his good friend is not elected as president. It is silly to think that Kim is China ally. Kim may just drag china into a war unnecessarily.
ReplyDeleteAll the stupid ideologies that divided people up were created by the elites. Those who subscibed for those stupid ideologies are also working for the same group of people. They are neocomm.
ReplyDeleteThe rulers in Singapore care most about how to seek an advantageous position in the next elections. But this has nothing to do with people's livelihoods. The nature of capitalism is interests, and those with capital turn their interests into a nation's laws and policies.

"OK a word of caution. No more comments on the EP for now until the election is over." - RB
ReplyDeleteChannel News Asia and The Straits Times have been publishing article after article, write-ups after write-ups in favour of Halimah Yacob for the past one month. On 29 Aug 2017, she held a public session at the NTUC Headquarter to launch her campaign. At the same time campaigning for her ownself good image, supported by a cross-group of band-wagoners, thereby violating the Elections Law, as far as I know.
My question, therefore, is why no more comments on the EP here, while elsewhere especially the state's mouth organs can publicly go full swing knowingly going against the Constitutional Laws of the Republic of Singapore?
Therefore, in all earnestness and fairness, in the interests of our nation, and in the spirit of freedom, RB should allow comments on the EP at any time, as long as we do not violate any Human Rights law. (I am fully aware that this blog belongs to you and you have the sole right to decide whatever you wish.)
Don't you agree, Honourable and Incomparable Mr Chua Chin Leng?
Daft sinkies are so pathetic. Remember the year when they announced 15% GDP growth? All the numbers were reported inn the media and posted every where. 24 mths bonus + 13mth + leadership bonus + something else giving a total of...., can you count or not?
ReplyDeleteIf not go and google and dig out the numbers yourself.
I think 13 mth + 12 month bonus were the norm.

ReplyDeleteAiyo, Dragon Fly already stated Indians percentage even less than the Malays but the posts in the Ministries are many many many more than the Malays.
Now even three candidates also more Indian than Malay.
Bonus peg to the GDP means Sinkieland GDP is pegged to how much Revenues they can squeeze from the Sinkies.
That why every Ministry must make monies.
Even though they are supposed to be non profitable ministries.

Hi Dragonfly,
ReplyDeleteJust watch the OB markers they have set. Bean curd should not clash with stone. I must admit it is a hopeless situation at the moment. Can only hope for lightning strikes.
When Citizens Are Treated Like Idiots With Impunity
ReplyDeleteNot too long ago, in a galaxy far away,
In the cosmos known as the Milking-Way,
There was a planet brightest in every way,
Unfortunately, darkness fell along the middle-way,
Upon an island ruled by ruthless scoundrels at their best,
Disguised as "for you" in the east, "with you" in the west.
They put up elections as a semblance of democracy,
In order to deceive the Super Power of their honesty.
Only once in six years they elect a President of Presidents
To hold the highest office respected by citizens and residents.
Unfortunately, darkness crept into the minds of those who decide
On the citizens' speaking right, they set OB markers to abide.
Why have elections when the intent is to rule by dictates?
Why not simply appoint a lackey or proxy to head the State?
From whatever angle we look, a colorful puppet is still a puppet.
Won't you think by appointing a figure-head is more appropriate?
At least whoever behind it won't be seen as a huge hypocrite.
Just be bold and abolish presidential elections, for goodness sake!
What is the use of a semblance of democracy?
When rule by dictates and decrees is the reality?
By silencing criticisms it means only one thing:
The fear of defeat and failure is too overwhelming!
What use talking about making the island a smart city?
When citizens are treated like idiots with impunity?

Who is going to pay for this? Another US$2b orders from S Korea?
Such thinking is surprisingly widespread in Washington. Senator Lindsey Graham, who is normally seen as a voice of reason in the Republican party, has repeatedly insisted that the US cannot tolerate a North Korean nuclear threat. He has argued that while a war with North Korea would be "bad for the Korean peninsula … what it would not do is hit America".

ReplyDeleteRB,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment.
You are right, when I am in the mood to compose a poem, the words just flow naturally. This natural spontaneity came to me during the time when JB Jeyerathnam won the Anson Election. I was so elated that I composed a poem right in front of my wife and eldest daughter, but I did not write it down. Thereafter, this mood came on and off. As I grew older, the mood comes more frequently, usually whenever I see or read about injustice happening right before my very eyes.
By the way, many of the 'political' poems in the comments sections at TR Emeritus and The Online Citizens were written by me under various nicks.
Some of my poems also appeared in the comments sections of certain Youtube political news video clips and in the Facebook, all under different names.

ReplyDeleteThe North has no plan to nuke the west coast of the United States. That’s ridiculous! That doesn’t accomplish anything. What they want is to preserve their regime, procure security guarantees from Washington, lift the embargo, normalize relations with the South, extricate the US from the political affairs of the peninsula, and (hopefully) end the irritating and endlessly provocative 64 year US occupation. Yankee go home. Please.
ReplyDeleteBottom line: The North is ready to deal. They want negotiations. They want to end the war. They want to put this whole nightmare behind them and get on with their lives. But Washington won’t let them because Washington likes the status quo. Washington wants to be a permanent feature in South Korea so it can encircle Russia and China with lethal missile systems and expand its geopolitical grip bringing the world closer to nuclear Armageddon.
That’s what Washington wants, and that’s why the crisis on the peninsula will continue to boil.
