I am wondering if this is something clever for Trump to do or something silly that only a dumb Trump could come up with. How much money is going to be wasted on this flimsy piece of scrap iron given today’s technology and destructive power of gunpowder. You only need a few pieces of dynamite or TNT to bring a part of the wall down. Even a bulldozer or tractor could do the job of pulling a section down or to create a big hole in it. Or is this Trump’s way of creating jobs for the Americans, to revive the long dead steel industry and other security industries?
Whose is going to benefit from this Simple Simon project? Who is making the steel, who are the contractors? How much steel and energy are going to be spent on this 2,000 mile wall? Or is Donald Trump out to build a monument to remember him when he is gone? It is now reported that a sum of US$21.6 billion will be needed for the Great Wall of Trump! Maybe Trump should consult the Chinese’s ancient technology they used to build the indestructible Great Wall of China.
Does any American out there smart enough to advise Trump about using cheaper modern technology to seal his border instead of wasting away resources on an ancient idea of erecting walls to guard the borders between states reinforced with electronics and cameras?
Dumb Trump or dumb Americans? China is building roads and rails to link the whole world and Trump is building walls to keep the modern day barbarians out of America? China is building trade ties with the world, connecting with the world, and the Americans are isolating themselves behind a new Great Wall of Trump that is full of holes.
ReplyDeleteln one stroke Trump is creating thousands of job for the Construction and Maintenance of the Wall. Thousands more shall be engaged to patrol the Perimeter.

DeleteComparing the Mexico Cordon to the Great Wall is quite apt.
lt can also be said that the Construction of it is in a way like en-block demolition and reconstruction in Sin. Only dofference is that demolition of usable edifice that could last for centuries is very wasteful. But it creats job, markets for contractor and supplier.
There are much spin-off to make many happy and the Authority will be perceived to working and constructive too.
Trump in a way is learning from Sin.
Maybe he will come to Sin to seek for advice and or learn from our aristocrat and elite.

Use the donkeys, pulleys with the NCOs with whips and manual manpower to build the Great Wall of America
After kena kicked out next election still leave a landmark behind.
Total cost only few thousands dollars.
Officers and Generals thousand thousand millions.
If the length of the wall itself define if Trump should or being dumb to do the wall, the length is a deciding factor to rule US and not Trump.
ReplyDeleteI do not see length of wall is a problem. Patrolling the wall will be easy together with cctv and other means such as electrical shock/ siren for crossing it etc.
If TNT is the solution, that means no one was checking the wall and the wall was a plain iron plate. Will readers of some technical knowledge believe it will be just a piece of iron?
This wall is a symbol of an American s president s determination to get rid of illegal immigrants in US to commit crimes rob rape and drugs.
Trump is being looked upon as someone foolish. He is not in my eyes. His order on security was simply ignored by courts. Many thought he was acting beyond power. According to US Lawfair editor Witts, Trump acted based on a clause in statute. But the judges simply ignore and set in with their own arguments without mentioning the statute. This is really shocking to me. It means the judges are also presidents of US.
Trump s action to isolate the "bad people" away was something a will compelled by circumstances will not do it. It too hard to do and normal people will just give up the idea. I see Trump is a determined guy "just do it". He will issue other orders to stop immigrants from the 7 countries. Trump is someone I found really act on what he had said. Lets compare to Teresa May UK, whose PM job came from the referendum to get out of EU, or she got the job started there. She was hesitant to do the exact exit after almost one year (june 23 is the cut off). If Trump were to do it, UK would have been called a fully independent country by now. Its the speed of executing orders. Trump is focus, while other leaders like May was watching how other feel about her before she step out. Leaders are so different. What about the TPP? Some leaders declared to the world they will push for it. Where are they now? If you compare how leaders do things they promised, u can see Trump is not lying on what he said during election campaign. He wanted to get rid of immigrants, he did just that with so many protests against him. Why? His objective is one: to create jobs for US citizens. NOT foreigners in US. He did all the things to get jobs for US citizens. For that i have great respect to Trump. U agree?
To anon 10.48
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% with you! It is not the job of judges to ask questions like wat is the evidence that such 7 countries cause danger, why do this ban. I also saw an interview on cnn wuth the last chief of intelligence, he said he was not aware if any imminent danger to usa from those listed 7 countries that necessitate a ban. The questions are totally irrelevant. As president he has access to top secret information in REAL TIME. Do JUDGES OR EX CIA CHIEFS have access to such information? Only President has real time top secret information, therefore President is given very broad power to decree a ban. The court is not responsible to judge the operational correctness of a Presidents decree!!! If the president makes a wring judgement of the security threat, it is a political/operational issue, NOT A LEGAL MATTER!!!!!! The three judges in sanfrancisco andvthe judge robart really should be sacked, they are putting themselves in the role of moral arbiters rather than legal counsels.

101% agree. But most important, Americans also voted for Trump to win.
If Trump were a Sinkie, do u think Sinkies will vote for him if he advocated "Singaporean First"?
In fact, there was one Sinkie politician who advocated "Singaporean First". U know how many % votes he got in last election? Only 22.3%!!! So why Sinkies don't respect him, u tell me lah? Like that how to help Sinkies?
If the steel plates are firmly anchored in ground, it is not easy to dynamite it, unlike concrete which will crack on explosion. The vast majority 99.999% of mexico illegal immigrants are small time crooks trying to sneak through by simple methods, they do not have powerful equipment to dislodge continuous solid steel wall plates. In my opinion the wall is a very good idea. You may say it is expensive. But it is a one time cost. Without the wall, the running cost of manpower and other resources to patrol 1000 mile border 24x7, is definitely more costly over time. Obama is useless, no action done except bombing Muslim in Iraq syria and create ISIS, TRUMP IS GOOD GUY.He is eccentric, but he is good guy.
ReplyDelete...TRUMP IS GOOD GUY.He is eccentric, but he is good guy.

Tiok. That's why Americans have good reasons to vote for him to win.
And Sinkies also have good reasons to vote for PAP to win, and for Aung Juan Soon Chee to every time lose.
And RB has good reasons why he is a blogger only, and not Sinkie opposition politician.

ReplyDeleteI am astonished by your grasp of the key points on this Trump vs Judges of9th circuits issue. Its true that Trump has top secret info while judges are to deal with legal perspectives only.
I only felt the judges were not professional for not commenting on the statute that gave US President the power to act on security.
From organizational responsibility perspective, Trump is the only one responsible for his own executive orders. I did not why the judges want to override him on guessing words there was no such threat immediately felt on the circumstances. The court can deal with individual complaints but not deny US President s order on a CLASS of people. I only accept this difference. The power on a class is not what a court can declare such as which class has no security risk.
Simply ask now: if US has Isis attack now, will Trump be responsible or the 9th circuits judges?
There are good reasons why Sinkies did not make the Sinkie opposition strong and ready to be govt.
ReplyDeleteSimply ask now: if US has Isis attack now, will Trump be responsible or the 9th circuits judges?
ReplyDelete11:33 am
That is beside the point. The point is that Trump's Executive Order may also not prevent an Isis attack. And do u know that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are not part of Trump's Order that bar those countries? So if Isis terrorists came from these countries, then how?
Just like having a Sinkie Malay President, Trump's order to bar is more symbolic than of real and practical effect, so it may not really matter.
11:16am
ReplyDeleteU compare 1 sinkie seeking to be MP promoting "Singaporean First" as a failure of 23% comparing to Trump.
Are you targeting on the comparison: btw Trump and TJS on the soundness of the idea for "citizen s jobs first"? I dont think this idea can be compared. Both Trump and TJS , meant the same thing: give jobs to citizens and not foreigners.
Why did Trump won and TJS lost in competition? If your target is on this. You have to be reading the RB blogs and others to gather your conclusions. But I can offer my simplified conclusion: sinkies are facing the problems of low income or no income from Pap led governing teams. They will have to react even there is no TJS in the coming GE. On the framework environment the Pap is working in now, there is NO more hillary to cover the Pap. The framework is clear cut: no more immigrants for jobs first in: UK, US, France (could be), Germany (less could be), Italy etc. Immigrants are somebodies no longer considered cheap labor can be exploited, except on Merkel s mind. The rest of these countries will want a clear and clean cut with citizens vs immigrants.
The reason is simple: bomb explosion, crimes against women, Germany is facing more these crimes at swimming pools. If Merkel is not elected, thats the end for free immigration.
Why sinkies are so indifference to this issue? First they support Pap. Second, there is NO bombing here or crimes in organized form yet. Look out for the word yet. Can u change the word yet to never?
So if Isis terrorists came from these countries, then how?
ReplyDelete11:46 am
Ya hor, and some more Osama was from Saudi Arabia, u know.
So why Trump did not ban Saudi Arabia in his Executive Order har? Is it because America can make lots of money from Saudi Arabia? And Trump, being a former billionaire businessman, must have make money and love money, tio bo?
To anon 1146
ReplyDeleteThat is why sinkies are so stupid cannot think properly like you.
The point is that the debate on whether the 7 countries were the "right" countries to be banned, IS NOT A LEGAL issue! If terrorist attack USA happens after ban is in place, then, so be it, Trump has to answer for it, he made bad judgement or was badly advised. Trump made a convincing argument, he read the Constitution which empower the president to decree, you see on youtube only, but cnn,"fake news" did not highlight it. Trump said, that statute in the Constitution of USA can be understood by a bad law student, it was so clear, i agree.
If the court have to be called in to decide whether trump policies are right or not right, then the courts might as well take over the running of USA.
IN DEMOCRACY the law has no right to reject an elected candidates policy implementation , if the policy procedures were in accordance with the Constitution. Law is meant to define the rules only, not the morality, correctness or merits of the rules. It is the job of politicians to influence policies, not lawyers period.
Second, there is NO bombing here or crimes in organized form yet...Can u change the word yet to never?
ReplyDelete11:51 am
It depends lah. For instance, if u are now a 70 yr old Sinkie and not PM or MP yet, can I say u will never be PM?
There is a lot of bad politics in usa going on by people with no love for the usa, only trump really loves usa. Example. From comedians, talk hosts to "fake media", everyday you see trump being attacked on the temp ban. You can see footage of crying families blocked by the ban.
ReplyDeleteThe right thing to do, is to interview trump, ask him NICELY, is it possible to hv green card holders and residents returning to usa, exempt frim the ban?
Non of the usa media took such initiatives to ask him, i know, i follow the news channels everyday. Instead the media, the comedians, all cash in and keep heat in trump, make him more angry. The comedians are getti g huge audiences in this period! They are not interested to improve the situation!
What's breaking.the wall with TNT and what shits explosives. The Border guards will give you full meal of bullets with compliments.
ReplyDeleteSo easy to Sabo, then the DMZ everyday also break in.Some more trained soldiers.
What's more these civilians? ?
VERY simple cheap and good trick as recommend to DT.
Just get the CIA to bribe some Somali Pirates disguised as Terrorists. Bomb places that protested Freedom.of Immigrants.
See whether he gets 100% support to ban the Travel Ban.
Now that is been shown---very clearly, and without doubt---that using the Federal Courts to stop Trump's path of national, social and cultural destruction is effective and IMMEDIATE, I think we can see more action coming from judicial benches.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, some lawyers will be doing extraordinarily well from this litigious classically American culture: Sue Sue, and counter-sue.
It is the job of politicians to influence policies, not lawyers period.
ReplyDelete12:04 pm
Tiok. That's why MPs (from the ruling party) are also called law makers who have the power to make or change laws to govern the nation.
Parliament make the laws for the courts to execute, and not the other way round. It's the same in Sinkieland.
That's why winning an election to be the ruling party is so important and crucial, even in Sinkieland. So too bad lah, the Sinkie opposition cannot even win to deny PAP a 2/3 majority in Parliament, so cannot even effectively oppose the laws that PAP made.

ReplyDeleteYou guys have put up many interesting points that I find it useful to summarise them in an article to highlight the outrageous things that are happening in the US arising from Trump's view of how he sees the world and what he is going to do about it.
ReplyDelete12:11pm
ReplyDeleteYour comparison of bombing events and organized crimes and one at 70 to be PM is confused mind s result. U need to make it simple in your mind: U should say what u mean in your mind.
What i meant in the post was: bombing and organized crimes are more likely to occur among immigrants who are desperate for money when the enforcement forces are weak. I do not mean there are no laws. I meant in relative strengths. Some days when the enforcement is not so good and the organized crime forces are more superior, these results will happen as occurring/recurring events. This possibility will get higher when citizen s income are low, they are indebted, and they are jobless.
It has nothing to a 70 year old wanting to be PM. Not everyone want to be in public service. U have your own life you love to. It may not be those things a PM would do. On the other hand, there are 70 yr old wants to be President, Trump and Hillary both are in the same class. TCB wanted too. One person s aspiration to be PM has nothing to do with a group of poor immigrants wanting to get more money. I hope your mind can move higher to discuss the issue on security and Pap s chance in next GE. They are related obviously. Agree?
It has nothing to a 70 year old wanting to be PM. Not everyone want to be in public service.
ReplyDelete12:42 pm
What I mean is the chances of the 70 yr old becoming PM, regardless of whether he wants or not. The chances is never, if he/she is not yet even a MP, or been an MP and of course in the context of Sinkieland lah. Other places anything can happen one, bombings included, but not in Sinkieland.
So if there is no bombing in Sinkieland yet, there will never be a bombing lah. And terrorists also not stupid anyhow waste their bombs, bullets or even their lives, u know.
And to add one more never. If the Sinkie opposition is not ready to be govt by now, they will never be ready lah.
The Great Wall of Trump.
ReplyDelete------------------------
What about the Great Wall being built to keep the deplorables out of the Office of the Elected Presidency?
How do you stop or thwart an adversary like Trump?
ReplyDeleteConsider what you are up against:
1. He is a billionaire and extremely well-resourced and extensively networked.
2. He clearly doesn’t need the job. He salary : USD 1.🤑
3. If Airforce One breaks down, Trump has his own jet, which is probably more
bad-taste “luxurious” than AF-1.
3. Emotionally speaking, Trump is needy, egotistical and clueless. He is also
totally unaware of his cluelessness.
4. Using social media and modern communications to attack him—-like Alec Baldwin in
SNL and Women’s March—-are INEFFECTIVE.
5. Using the press/ mainstream media to bring him down—-INEFFECTIVE. All Trump does
is hand-wave all of them away as fake news.
6. Going after his family is “crossing a no-cross-under-any-circumstances
line”, so sensationalising stuff about Melania and Ivanka….have to tread
carefully. Better yet, don’t tread at all. INEFFECTIVE.
7. Politically: INEFFECTIVE. Trump has ALOT of supporters. Will he keep them? Who
knows, only time will tell. However trying to get numbers to “overthrow” him
now, not possible. Even the Grand OLD Party, the Republican Party, is now
forever changed.💩💩
8. Congress and the Senate: INEFFECTIVE. It is obvious Trump gives zero
fucks about the proper and orderly legislative process. Fuck it. Govern by
Executive Order. Like a King or an Emperor….or a CEO!
So nothing is going to stop this prick…except for THE COURTS.
Therefore I foresee more and ore legal challenges to whatever Trump decides to do. It will piss him off. Royally. 👍🏻
Ask yourself is DT a modern day of Humpty Dumpty? ...why would anyone with a sane mind would do that? ..well, DT during the election already promised the Americans that he would build a great ..great ..great wall of US to keep the illegal immigrants out at the borders. DT has kept has promised..this is the kind of leader the the world need ( though many still unappreciative of his doings..) ..seems like a modern day ancient Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang - a dictator, DT isn't that fellow hopefully..as history or tell will tell..

ReplyDeleteThe Law Makers passed The Bill into Laws and the Courts just implement them.
That's why previously the Death Sentence of Drug trafficking above 1.25 grams is strictly followed and were hang when their clemency appeals were rejected without much choice by the Judges.
So, now they gave some leeway on their grounds of sound reasons or some very unfortunate circumstances that lead them to this trafficking.
Some are just donkey men and the actual traffickers go scot free.
So Trump is telling the Judges not to go against his EO. THESE ARE POLITICAL MOVIATED ACTIONS.
SOME JUDGES ARE APPOINTED BY PREVIOUS ADMIN AND THEY AFRAID TO BE REPLACED.

Before the sentencing was MANDATORY...meaning that the court had no "authority" to use its discretion when passing punitive sentence. Essentially, the courts' hands were tied---they had to, by law, administer the MANDATORY punishment.
Passing mandatory laws by the legislative is a low down mean trick because it assumes that the courts are inept and/ or are incapable to administering proper and professional-level JUSTICE. Mandatory sentencing si an attack on reason and context. Mandatory sentencing should not be on any books of any society which considers itself modern and enlightened.
» SOME JUDGES ARE APPOINTED BY PREVIOUS ADMIN AND THEY AFRAID TO BE REPLACED. «
In a "real" cuntry, with "proper" culture of freedom, the judiciary is where justice begins and ends. The courts decision is FINAL, and a s a society whose social contract is bound in an established Rule Of Law.
That said, you cannot just suka-suka "fire" a judge like a kopi-boy at a kopitiam. Only legislatures and judicial counsels (made up of judges) can fire judges. And good luck to that. A judicial counsel will only fire one of their own if he/ she did really really super bad things that would threaten the integrity, effectiveness and reputation of the entire justice system.
Can't fire judges just because they "pissed off" the president/ prime minister by using the Rule of Law to slap them and their nefarious plans DOWN.

ReplyDeleteThe Wall of Trump
ReplyDeleteEveryday tens of thousands of illegal immigrants, refugees, crooks and criminals enter the US through its extensive Southern border via Mexico(and also Canada).
These are not only Mexicans or Latin Americans. Many of these are refugees infiltrated by the Islamic Terrorist Groups as sleepers, some have been recruited as young as 8 years old, but many are in their teens and twenties, mainly males. They usually come in with their parents or in groups, guided by a "tourist guide" - paid by very well-organized human trafficking organizations in the Middle East.
Criminals, crooks and drug traffickers also took advantage of the porous flimsy border, which one can just dash across by running for about 20 minutes, and you are in the USA!
The US Border Patrols have been increased to a larger and larger force but the problem is getting even worse. Some illegals, crooks, criminals and drug traffickers have been caught. They were either jailed or sent back to their own countries, IF THEY CAN BE TRACED. Some just couldn't be sent back to any country because they do not have any passport or documents. The US has no choice but to accept them in. So the Obama Administration made use of certain US Cities and designated these as "Sanctuary Cities" for these illegals to stay, without harassment from the US Law Enforcement organizations. This cost taxpayers' money by the billions of dollars every year. It also create crimes - hate-crimes, revenge killings, black-markets, touting, prostitution, drug problems, all sorts.
The peaceful US citizens, border patrols and local police have been literally screaming for years for the US Government to do something about it. Bill Clinton built a 325 mile Mexico-US Border Fence in 1993, and Hillary Clinton supported it strongly. Bush signed a Bill to have a comprehensive border protection and extended the fence to 702 miles. Obama did nothing. In fact, he welcomed them in - the more the merrier! Sounds familiar?
Trump is trying his best to become the American People's President. In his campaigning for the last one and a half years, since July 2015, his main message was to "Make America Great Again!" But his main concern was, is and will be "Make America Safe Again!"
The Mexico-US Border Wall or the Trump Wall, is only one of the main solutions to solve a small part of the HUGE Problem of Illegal Immigrants and Refugees. He issued Presidential Executive Orders to ban certain countries (7+1) citizens from entering USA until such time the FBI/CIA/HSA are able to form a data-base for checking them. At present the three Main US Security Agencies have openly admitted to the US Congress and the Presidents that they are unable to check these ILLEGALS properly because they do not have any data-base to refer to.
The bottom line is, irrespective of whether the Trump Wall works or not, something has to be seen to be done by the American Public. Though the Trump Wall is estimated to cost about US$11 Billion, there is already a provision for this money by the Treasury and approved by the US Congress long time ago. In fact, it was Hillary Clinton who proposed the building of some kind of a "Border Protection Wall" between Mexico and USA in 2006!
I make some amendments. I hope it sticks now.
ReplyDeleteThe Americans fake-media and fake-protesters are all fucktards with personal interests in mind (dollars and power).
ReplyDeleteInstead of helping trump do things in a more orderly way, they are provoking him. Everyone knows that trump is a bit eccentric and has a habit of always wanting to win. I see him as a gentle person with inferiority complex. He is the most hardworking persin and he has the most passion in his belief. Every president or CeO, who first assume office, would enjoy the first few weeks in office with kavish social interactions and relaxation after the tiring elections. But this man, despite being 70 years old, has more energy, zeal and passion than any 25 year old man. Americans should cherish this and help to guide him, accept his weakness and not exacerbate or exploit it. Whatever for? Unless you have unpatriotic selfish reasons. Poking fun of him may be fine before he assume office, but that is over. The only thing need ti be changed in the Eo is to waive the screening for green card holders, damnit. The border wall construction is also a good plan. Those fucktards Caucasian demonstrators carry placed "no wall, no ban". Ask the refugees to move next to their house first, see if they still hold the placards. Sad!
"These are not 7 strategies.
ReplyDeleteThey are 7 slogans to pretend that action is being taken ie Mental Masturbations.

I must say these are common strategies and most firms should think how they want to use it to outdo the other.
My only complaint is: they needed so many 21 or 31 to repeat them. May be to rubber stamp the blue print from some standard operating procedures SOP from military manuals.
Or something worst, one or 2 military trained guys did the talking the rest rubber stamped the ideas.
I put it this way in military way. First deep training needed to strength skills on weapons and defense. Next adapt digital to do night survey, to use drones, to operates satellite/net comms etc to have broad control. So stock up tech equipment to build capabilities. Next is find allies to fight together. Sin always find US to connect as partners. Next work out a MAP to expand the peers, armoured, airforce, navy missiles etc.
Partner each other for innovation and growth is not so stable for Sin, as it involves policies. Sin cannot go with Trump as it partner with Hillary and Obama, neither Sin goes with Xi, no one road one belt, and has to compete with Malaysia for ports and airport. When the lighhouse goes to malaysia, the control on that sea route gone. When Indonesia take back control on airspace control, the airport control is gone. Partner with whom?
Worst for industries: they hire indians and pinoys on employment pass and PR, who will want to deal with foreigners to share innovations with "sin firms", soon the secrets will become nothing when the foreigners are gone.
The whole thing of 7 strategies are for talk. If the ministries can follow up with some forms of policies, sinkies are benefited somehow, if the ministries follow up with the same foreigners first policies, all training will be gone to waste.
Opening shops, or offices, or manufacturing are just waiting to close shops in few years time. May be u are correct: kaki song only. How long can Pap last if they like kaki song only?
The committee s result is a disappointment. No doubt.

How many new fucking new strategies you want to bluff us with?
Just shut the fuck up.

ReplyDeleteI 100% agree with U, "where are the jobs"?
The most costly is part 7. Partnering. Mostly the good jobs are not for sinkies to learn or catch up. They belonged to foreigners and at the end, the whole partnership closed. Sinkies cannot continue from the leftover or after the departure of foreigners. A lot of money are spent on "partnering". One xample is cancer research. After the angmor left back to US, is there a continued institution citizens takes over? There are many RnD where tax money was spent by millions to billions, and ended up nothing in sinkieland worth talking about.
The first 6 steps are not something sinkies can make money. Training for you when you have no jobs. Do you think it is logical to ask the jobless to spend money, transport and time to do some courses while there is no guarantee of income?
I hope the policy is bold. The elites guarantee the jobless income from a job and required the jobless to follow the training. Are there such jobs?
Not even property and insurance selling can guarantee income.
Other training like what can ensure jobs given to sinkies? If there is no link on job and income and training, the scheme is a bluff to trap the jobless to spend money and time, to forget the pain in jobless only. The only secured way is during GE. The jobless may get completely new idea on jobs and training after Pap lose power. If not, the training training training is the only solution for jobless as far as Pap elites can think of. Reason: Pap is NOT capable of creating jobs for citizens. They can create cheap jobs for foreigners like cleaners at hdb flats or construction workers jobs. No more.

If PAP got no more balls or brains to create jobs for Singaporeans.
Then return all our money back to us.
Stop over-taxing us.
We will use our own money and create jobs for ourselves.
We will use our own money to create new industries for ourselves.
All we ask is for PAP to shut the fuck up,
get out of our way and
get out of our wallets.
"We will use our own money to create new industries for ourselves." 9:01pm
ReplyDeleteSinkies pay GST is a lot to feed the elites pockets, on top, of high flat prices, coe, electricity and water.
The return is low income: low salary. The industries hire foreigners as managers and workers. That is Pap s policy of foreign talents. The idea behind is to match lowest possible salary for industries. This has been going on for 20 over years. The effect is: raising salary is very low, always below 5%.
Not for civil service, the elites can get good bonus beside good raise in salary. Guarantee jobs. Civil services also hire foreigners, as long as they have lobang, including those from hiring agents connected to hirer in civil service.
There is little chance for sinkies to have own industries as you claim it. Only chance is when Pap lose power, other parties take over. That will need at least 10 years for sinkies to go bankrupt before they realize Pap is not the party can create good income for them. Sinkies ask for it, we watch the outcome and share the pain lah. But i know, many have installments to pay. They might go bankrupt if Pap continue to feed foreigners first. Let Pap deal with the problems. They love it and sinkies also love those problems: low purchasing power, or no income.
Think that all that CFE wayang is already gone into hot air. This CFE was chaired by a minionster Heng SK but he was down with stroke, probably all his 'powers' all taken back by the Superior Beings up there..that's why come out a 'half past six' papers to hand up to his boss to say ' I already try my best' & Ah Long will be too happy to tell Sinkies that he had done his best but u see still need foreigners to run Sinkieland Leh..case close ( Sinkies can go hm & jiak kar Kee la...better not choosy & be hardworking..u die u own bziness but Ah Long gahmen fault la..

ReplyDeleteHaha...
PAP shall build more and more highend residential property and shopping complex.
Consumption shall be made the Engine for growth with
more aliens allow and unvite to come to Sin.
There can be a decade or two to develop Sin to attract alien customers and to keep Sin humming.
When the Space runs out and development run dry, many Sinners would have quitted Sin to live as loaded aliens
elsewhere.

Maybe he will build a solar wall that will also generate a lot of electricity. There are more ways to make use of walls instead of just keeping some people out. Walls in, illegals out.

ReplyDeleteIn this 2017 CFE Report, some of the points ...... oops ...... strategies such as to "2. Acquire and utilise deep skills" are quite "commendable" ........ but .......
For example, look at CFE Report 2017 pg 24:
///Recommendation 2.2: Strengthen nexus between acquisition and utilisation of skills
90. To strengthen the nexus between skills acquisition and utilisation, we need to expand the role and ownership of employers for skills utilisation.
The SkillsFuture
TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) programme is a good example of what can be achieved when employers are actively involved. With the strong involvement of companies, TeSA enables existing and aspiring ICT professionals to acquire industry-relevant digital skillsets, thereby increasing their chances of employment upon completing their courses.
The involvement of employers also allows skills acquisition to be done
through a variety of modes, including on-the-job training, secondments and overseas
training. TeSA also supports science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals to re-skill in emerging industry areas such as data science, cybersecurity, software development and network engineering.///
All these are quite well and good intentioned proposals?
To borrow PM's words in his reply dated 8 Feb to the CFE:
Quote
"Developing the strategies is the first step. The strategies are our guide
but what counts is how well we implement them to transform our economy."
Unquote
Implementation is key in most, if not all the strategies recommended.
From empirical examples, many, if not most govt agencies "fell far short of achieving many targets listed in past attempts on much smaller scale exercises"?
So, how to implement the strategies across the economy spanning many if not most industries and how long is the time lag, assuming the most positive outcome?
Assuming at least 3 to 5 years of bearing fruits based on most positive outcomes, what will DRIVE growth in the meantime?
So are we looking at fairly aggressive Fiscal and Exchange Rate Policies over the next 5 years to offset the long gestational period of most of the strategies recommended [which are mostly Supply-Side Policies (in disguised)]?
