Dynasty change or rise and fall of empire/regime are
inevitable, like the advent of natural calamities, droughts, floods,
earthquakes etc. Often such epic changes of history will be preceded by a
series of warning signs that things are not going well and change is eminent.
The tears of 2011 were shed in vain. They were genuine tears of regret, to do
things right, to right the wrongs. But victory and success often blinded the
fools and they would plod down the path of self destruction. And absolute power
makes ignoring the pains and cries of the masses easier. Just give a little lip
service, we cared, we are compassionate, we empathized with your shit life but
what to do? Work hard, tighten your belt and trust us, live within your means
and accept your lousy fate.
The slew of events that happened quickly, one after another,
did not happen by chance. They were designed, not by anyone. I am looking at
the developments and the turning of the wheel of fortune from a fatalistic
perspective. No regime in power would want to do itself in. Neither would they
want to dig their own grave. But dig they would and would keep on digging,
thinking that it was meant for their enemies without having a clue that it was
their own grave. They would trip and fall into the freshly dug grave many a
times, only to pull themselves out with an embarrassing grin, but would keep
digging. The warning signs that it was there for them did not haunt them. They
could see no wrong in what they were doing. They were too conceited and deluded
to think otherwise. They wanted the enemies to fall in and be buried. How could
they be buried in the grave instead? Not logical, cannot be.
The enemies need not do anything. The enemies could afford
to go on their lives normally without having to lift a finger in a time like
this. Let the devil do its own work. It is unbelieveable that this is happening
and getting more frequent, more hilarious and serious in nature. Game over is
the natural outcome.
Zhu Geliang must be smiling, having read the stars
correctly, he is waiting for the moment to come. His order to his men, do
nothing, let the enemies bury themselves. When good men are leaving and only
the mediocre are joining the camp, it is a sure way to the end. Go with the
flow, not the flow of men but with the tide of history.
A fitting epitaph on the Tombstone of the Unknown Pig:
ReplyDelete"We are deaf to all criticism"
// His order to his men, do nothing, let the enemies bury themselves.//
ReplyDeleteSun Tzu's "Art of War" -
To secure ourselves against defeat
lies in our own hands,
but the opportunity of defeating the enemy
is provided by the enemy himself.
// His order to his men, do nothing, let the enemies bury themselves.//

But then PAP's strongest enemy, the WP, is not even ready to be govt and also show no intention of wanting to be govt.
And PAP also knows that majority Sinkies (aka 60%) will never vote in an opposition which is not ready to be govt.
So this being the case, how to apply Sun Tzu's "Art of War" to vote PAP out, u tell me lah?
Ready or not to be govt also cannot bluff one, u know.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, if Aung Juan Soon Chee says he is ready to be PM but his party SDP manage only to contest a few seats in the next GE, then for sure majority (aka 60%) Sinkies know he 100% bluff one, tio bo?
Tiok. That's why Teochew Ah Hia is 93% not bluffing when he publicly says WP is not ready to be govt.
ReplyDeleteEven if he didn't say, the smart majority (60%) Sinkies also know.
Aiya, don’t pai chow kei chuah lah!!
DeleteBit the bush (grass) frightened the snakes!
Even when to become Emperor also bluff bluff said no want!
If not got killed before the great plans materialised.
If Teochiew don't want be PM let Hainan be lah!!!
Hainan chuo kuah is the norm for centuries.
We have MBK, Grace Disgraceful etc
Although the PAP are hated by a growing number of Sheeple waking up from their peaceful slumber of self-delusion, they are also political strategists on par with Sun Tzu and Zhu Ge Liang, thrown in Machiavelli and Carl von Clausewitz...and let us not forget our own locally-grown brilliant political manipulator: Lee Kuan Yew.
ReplyDeleteThe PAP understand the mechanisms for motivation and manipulation which never fails to work on the Singapore Sheeple.
I would say that the dynasty will rule for at least one more generation. So essentially, if you a "Silver Brigadeer" like myself, there will be no political change in our lifetimes.
Like I've said before, I dun really care who the fuck is governing Singapore. The present governor fuckers have chibye mouths---the latest outburst by "Garbage" Go Chok Tong is proof---but at least they manage the cuntree well enough to allow it to be AWESOME so that the people with the least emotional issues can rock-out and party.
Freedom of speech and expression is the freedom to say really dumb and annoying things in public which make you look like a douchebag asshole.
So Mr Garbage Goh, keep flapping that jaw and make more funny noises. :-)
Me hazards a prediction base on instinct.
ReplyDeleteTeochew Ah Hia does not dare to be the Prime Minister of Sin, however, Sylvia Lim can take the Post. She has the Statesmanship.
It is time to have a lady to run the Country for a change. All the Male Rulers in the Past have heads but no hearts or small hearts, making them very lacking in conscience. Not only almost all are conceited, they also proved themselves to be vain and avaricious. I SURMISE THAT NO FEMALE LEADER WOULD BE ABLE TO SURPASS ANY OF THEM.
Singaporeans need a person well versed in Law to look into legal matters of the Country, Sylvia Lim is one such calibre.
There is a slim chance of Sylvia Lim becoming the Prime Minister, but there is possibility if Workers Party contests in 3/4 of all the Constituencies and voters vote Alternative Parties.
There is also the Real Possibility of the Army mobilized to deal with a 'freak' result in the Next General Election mount by the Defeated Party. By now, Sinkies should be aware of the MANY EX-MILITARY MEN IN THE CABINET, CIVIL SERVICE AND STAT BOARDS.
As a born citizen, I WISH VOTERS WILL VOTE FOR ALTERNATIVE PARTY CANDIDATES IN ALL CONSTITUENCIES.

Personally, I just wish the old fart will drop dead and die. Waste of taxpayers money.

But will that make the Sinkie opposition ready to be govt?
"But will that make the Sinkie opposition ready to be govt?"
ReplyDeleteAnon 3:19 pm
It may not make the opposition ready but Pinky Party may split up due to no more unifying and respected figure to "glue" the party together. And if that happens, Pinky's leadership will be internally challenged, and he may even lose it.
I laugh when everytime somebody quoted that WP's is not ready to form the Govt. LTK must be a fool to say he can when he could only field 23 candidates for 2011 GE (25% of Parliament and got 6 members elected eventually)and WP seems to the voters a Party that has more credible candidates.
ReplyDeleteISA and years of fixing any opposition to PAP has caused many intellectual not to get into politics. This cannot be good for future of Singapore. We need diverse intelligent views in Parliament Law making. PAP backbenchers can be counted in voting when the Whip is raised
ReplyDeleteCorrection... PAP backbenchers cannot be counted in voting when the Whip is raised
PAP can only find 18 PAP MPs who are capable of becoming cabinet Ministers. You think PAP so good meh?

Can Singaporeans learn something from the new Greek Finance Minister?
