TRE – The shadow Parliament

In a way the TRE is looking like the shadow Parliament where national issues are discussed furiously by the people and their representatives. Every issue is hotly debated and reflected the real feelings of the people, the tension, the angst, the misery, the pain and the frustration and exasperation, all came out as real as you can get. Though there might be some fakings, but it is hundreds of times more real than the real Parliament.

Here not only genuine issues are raised, genuine questions are also asked, issues that really affect the lives of the people. There is no time for superficiality and no material issues raised for the sake of raising just for fun.

The people’s representatives here are really the representatives of the people. If they are not and speaking
against the people, they will be ‘goreng’ and chewed to pieces.

You can imagine how the parliamentarians or MPs and ministers appearing here and talking nonsense or incomprehensible things or things they wanted the people to believe are right or good for the people when they are not? They will be striped naked and whipped and torched here. Oops, cannot say such things like whipped and torched or some people will take it literally. Only figuratively like all the good things they said in Parliament, figuratively also.

What do you think, which is the more real Parliament? Or which Parliament is a talk cock session?

  1. Everyone can cow peh cow bu but at the end of the day, it's still status quo. Knowing what's wrong and correcting it is not easy as the problem was incrementally added on each passing year over the decade. Minor tweaks here & there doesn't impact much. What it really need is the will power of those in charge to set thing right in a more pronounced way. But question is who has the moral courage to correct those wrongs. Who is the one or ones who is/are going to commit hara-kiri to the 7digit paycheck. And who is most likely to take up this task. If any. So is the high paycheck one of the causes. What do you think.

  2. Had the Parliamentarians and politicians been up to scratch, they would have shown their mettles in the Open Arenas to talk about livings with the People.
With their pack culture and group thinking, they wont dare to face the People independently

  3. When our PAP dominated parliament can do what they are paid to do: Represent the Singaporean people in parliament.
When that day comes ... TRE will become obsolete.

    ha ha ha ha ha

just to name one example regarding train breakdown

one highly ranked ex-military was "detailing" "PREVENTIVE ACTIONS" to ensure peak hour breakdown is prevented .....

.... ha ha ha ha ha

can't helped laughing non-stop after hearing what he said .....

he said "relevant technical staff would do more checking every night before the train start operation next morning so that trains don't break down during morning peak hours "

OMG! ha ha ha ha ha

what kind of answer is that?

isn't it obvious every air plane is checked and maintained thoroughly periodically before take off.

Should submarines and frigates start sinking to bottom of oceans before they put such thing in place?

Isn't it obvious whether breakdown or no breakdown, peak hour or not it must be done! What kind of answer is that? What is he saying? Are they paid so much to be at that kind of level .....?

Readers can form their own opinions ......

    1. Must throw them into the SCDF camps fir readiness training.

Every evening all standby by plus all vehicles must be throughly checked. Fuel pumped to the brim.

Any time now, emergencies will arise.
Selkali half way vehicles cannot move.

      Aiyoo, forget pump fuel.

Now normally take MRT after "peak" hours, I.e. after eleven.

They should shut down all services and put all available manpower plus contractors to service and repair the necessary in time for the evening peak hours.

Given six hours daily excluding the night shift to do the necessary long overdue servicing.

Meanwhile, just deploy the necessary buses for the lunch crowds.

Commuters knew this on going service, many will avoid using them.

Find this period, some trains less than ten persons on some routes

Do not just think of making money and the problems will go away

  8. All parliaments are talking cocks only. Look at the numbers. Why sg invested so much in oz? Must be telling sinkies that sinkies should move over there for a better, more substainable lifestyle.

  9. The TRE is a bucket of festering shit, swimming in a bolus of vomit...hmmm...exactly like a parliament, actually.

The TRE is Singapore's voluntary display to the rest of humanity of what a sick, dumb and arrogant society modern Singapore is. Singaporeans don't even like each other. A Singaporean cannot wait for the chance to prove that he is BETTER than another Singaporean. That's the TRE and that is Singapore. It is society steeped in self-sabotage and on a merrily entertaining journey destined for eventual catastrophic self-destruction: Matilah Singapura!

So fuck all you mothers...and CARRY ON! I shall enjoy your pain :-)

    How true!

Rb: // In a way the TRE is looking like the shadow Parliament //

If the alternative is like what RB just described above, it is fated to remain that way.

Rb: // What do you think, which is the more real Parliament? Or which Parliament is a talk cock session? //

Between the contest of the ugly, likely it is a knock out. Both just as ugly! But the much stronger ugly knock down the midget ugly!

In Chinese phrase, it is called " 乌合之众 "

IF hypothetically they do come into power, many things might be "goreng" and chewed to pieces.

The exodus of sinkies to overseas might turn into a broken dam.

Sinkieland deserves better alternative than those " 乌合之众 ".

Now it may be plain for all to see why the 60% would hold their nose and make their choice on the ballot despite the "unwillingness".

Because the alternative is a bunch of " 乌合之众 ".
