Singapore the most expensive city? So?

What is the fuzz all about that Singapore is the most expensive city in the world? To me everything is fine and nothing changes, really. I still have my breakfast and whatever, dining in whatever chic joints that I fancied. My Lamborghini is still running fine and attracting all the attention that I need. If it feels jaded, I can always jump into my Ferrari for a change. So, what’s the big deal?

The cars are so cheap that I could buy a new one with my salary every month. The landed properties too are affordable, really, only a year or two years income will be enough to pay for one, with spare change.

The only thing that I am complaining is that the roads are too congested. They should raise the ERP charges to $20 a pass or even $50. And for those wannabes who cannot afford to buy a decent car, they should take public transport and stop hogging the roads by limping around at 90 kph on the expressway. They are real irritants and always seem to be blocking my right of way. Shitty drivers who think their little cheap sedans are a status symbol to show off on the roads.

Everything is so affordable here and nothing is expensive. I am very comfortable with my level of contentment without being complacent and lazy. Life is a bliss and for enjoyment, and this city just is about everything that I need. Oh, I am no big entrepreneur taking high risk with my investments. I am just an ordinary employee with a decent income to boot.

Now who is complaining?

Kopi Level - Greeen

PS: I need to clarify here that this is a satire or else stupid people cannot understand and think that I am talking about myself earning million dollar salary. Then the daft will think he is smarter to call me daft.

    Rb, u sure or not?

Can u tell all the daft what job u doing huh?

3 bed rm condo now minimum also about 1 million up. Can buy 3 to 6 bedroom landed with 1 to 2 years salary?

What kind of ordinary employee and what kind of decent income are u talking about?

Sinkieland median wage as of 2013 only S$3,000+

u mean landed costs only about S$40,000 to S$80,000+ when condo already costs at least S$1 mil?

Daft sinkies still very daft, according to some people or sage.

    So?

For daft kindergarten IQ PG, think u need to explain slowly and explicitly step by step at kindergarten level or so it was made that way.

    Really, are u that daft?

    Are u like kindergarten?

Give you one lollipop or some silly sweets can bluff u to bring u away and never to be found again like a kindergarten kid?

Some people think u so daft and stupid worst than kindergarten kid because nowadays kindergarten also quite smart liao will not taken in by some silly sweets and lollipop ....

    So?

To some sage, YOU are just plain daft. Over and over again. It was, it is and it will be.

  2. I think most of the 60% who voted PAP couldn't even afford a car lah, let alone a ferrari, lamborgini or landed property.

What really matters is they voted PAP because they think it will be worse under WP, as WP is not ready to be govt.

If I were PM Lee, nothing is more reassuring than this. Hahahahahaha.

  3. Anon 10:39,

Can you understand a satire, are you that daft? When everyone knows that I don't earn that kind of money and that I am not an employee and you stupidly thinking that I am talking about myself? Oh sorry, must tell you A, then B, then C for your numbskull to understand huh? My apologies I didn't know you are so thick.

Now who is the daft one?

  4. It is either one is daft or lousy.

How can it be expensive when housing, health care and education are affordable?

Those who complain must either be lazy or lack intelligence.

  5. Tiok. And they voted PAP despite Sinkieland being the most expensive city, despite PAP ministers are not value for money, despite median income only around $3K pm, yet HDB pigeonholes can cost up to $1M, and despite CPF withdrawal delayed.

If u were PM Lee, are u not reassured and happy, u tell me lah?

  6. Teochew Ah Hia already said it all to those daft Sinkies who still could not get it.

    He said and I repeat:

Majority (aka 60%) Sinkie voters are scared they accidentally vote PAP out in a GE because WP is not ready to be govt.

Are u jumping the gun lately?

The YOU referring to other U .....

    Hahahahahahaha.

If RB could get the drift, he will not be blogging so much already.

Most probably at least become a PAP MP, or really could afford a lamborghini.

I think this one PAP also knows. Hahahahahaha.

you are writing at one level of satire.
Then Anon @ 10.39am write at another level of satire.

Better you write what you mean than write satire.

Just like PAP better recruit people who really want to serve Singaporeans. Instead of recruiting people who got such low self esteem, they need a million dollar salary to feel superior.

Please don't use words like satire and then plant a story line like that, sure kanna fire...ever wonder why daft sinkies keep voting for them....i think you got your answer, you just told us that you had that carified or stupid sinkies will think otherwise....and that's exactly what they're doing.....kopi level will be a bit down today, LOL, cheer up, i put in some kopi top up for your ruin day.

    Rb, nobody ( including anon 10.39am ) called u daft lah ......

Quite sure readers ( including anon 10.39am ) here especially the regular ones know the "I" in your post is NOT referring to "Yourself" but some "Ivory Towers Residents" ......

As for the "YOU" and some of the "u" in anon 10.39 am SATIRE comments, readers also can understand those "YOU" and some of the "u" don't really mean the "Real you RB" lah but referring to some other group of people ( probably very group big some more ).

RB ( i better don't use the word "you" alone in case RB(you) also jump and accuse wrongly of calling RB (you) names ), you (RB) wrote so many sarcastic paragraphs and inserted numerous "I"s inside the text also never make the people referred to in the many "I"s jumped and "shoot" you back ......

but poor anon 10.39am wrote a much shorter comment and the "YOU" and most of the "u" in the comment don't really refer to you (rb) but you(rb) just jumped at people like that .....

you (rb) see what readers can see?

so maybe when anon 10.39am want to use the "u" or "YOU" to refer something else, likely in order not to kena anyhow shoot by rb and accused of calling him (rb) names, maybe better put a bracket after the word "YOU" or "u" so that people like rb know explicitly which occasions the "YOU" and "u" used is not referring to him (rb)

but rb hor, you (rb) can continue to use the many "I"s anywhere you want in your text because many readers not so daft to take it ( "the "I"s ) as the real "you" rb.

    sound so confusing hor ......

    lol

    The peoplemany "I"s

  14. The following is a partial repost of an article in TRE written in Chinese with regards to the COI:

  15. Why particularly repost this article written in Chinese?

    Ha ha ha

Cos this article seems to match some of the theme in this current thread --- Satire and sarcastic

  16. The whole article is quite long to translate.

Even this partial article reposted here is tedious to translate.

But for the benefit of non-Chinese readers, the concluding sentence as below shall be translated but no guarantee it is 100% perfect :)

    /// 他也重申:“绝不容忍违法的公务员” — 这是不是脱裤放屁,你说呢? ///

/// He ( referring to DPM Teo ) also reiterated: "the government places strong emphasis on the integrity of the public service, and does not tolerate wrong doing and misconduct" --- Isn't this a form of removing the pants to fart, what say you? ///

  20. There are two views about the cost of living in Sinkieland.

One view is for those sitting at the top of the ivory tower and they say everything is affordable. Nothing is beyond reach.

For those at the bottom of the tower, the view is that cost of living is now so expensive, that they cannot make ends meet. Those who do marketing will tell you horror stories of everything going up by leaps and bounds, even though the official line is that the inflation index is very low.

Now, who do we believe? Those who lost touch with the ground, who got $8 heart bypass, free toothpicks, $2.50 nasi padang, or those right at ground zero?

  21. Just like those mining owners who extracted oil, iron, coal excessively and unscrupulously to fill their greed, the people will be left a huge empty hole and environmental woes at the end of the day. The owners will take flight and enjoy their retirement into their luxurious castles at the expense of the people.

  22. Our leeders said strenghtening S$ is good for the economy because it makes imported goods cheaper and almost all the goods we consume are imported.
Not true leh, prices of all kind of food and stuff are still getting higher by the day.
What is true is that ministers' purchasing power has increased with the strengtening of Singapore dollars.

  23. RB will be having problem with the price of kopi going up in the kopitiam. Need to contribute more to his kopi level if not he got not kopi to drink.

How many believe in the cost of living index?

  24. The gods are drinking human blood.

Even before giving out the Pioneer Generation Packages, they already announced increased charges in many areas. They now tell us they need more revenue. Increase in GST is not far off, it appears.

The saying that when they give you a chicken wing, they will take back one whole chicken is never far wrong.
