More radicals arrested
The Home Affairs Ministry has announced a few more arrests of radicals last week and Kan Seng is urging the communities and families to report on their kins when they are suspicious of their conduct. This is a tall order indeed. The families, religious leaders, schools etc should keep educating the people to keep this place safe and peaceful for everyone here. The citizens and residents must be free to work, play and go about their lives with no fear of a destructive terrorist attack. It is for the good of everyone.
Families and religious leaders should talk to their own people on how important it is to keep this place safe. This is our home. And if they detect any wayward tendencies or behaviors, perhaps they should take the first step to talk the person out of it. This may be easier than reporting them. Should this fail, then for the good of the family and country, they should do the necessary and report them. Failing to do so can hurt many innocent people very badly. Our lives and jobs will be in ruins.
Could Singaporeans be 'radicalized' due to their GREAT UNHAPPINESS?
ReplyDeleteCould it be the stresses and pressures of livings and survivals that drive Singaporeans up the wall?
Are there Singaporeans very 'sicked' with Political Leaders?
Me thinks the ANSWER IS LIKELY YESSSSS!

Patriot,
ReplyDeleteYou can't piss, sorry please everyone all the time.
So some who falls behind could have been led astray and think radically.
Kudos to the security people for taking action swiftly.
Personally, despite past fiascos, I think the have learnt their lessons and are doing a good job to keep our homeland safe, even for the third world peasants amongst us.
Hi Wally;
ReplyDeleteall the socio-political sites that me had visited in the last four years and visit now contain grouses and angers.
Talks at coffeeshops and other places are worse, most are cursing and fraying. Some are praying for divine intervention too.
It's easy to see some nerves are badly disturbed and some are emotionally disturbed to curse loudly in public places all to themselves, no eye contact with others when reciting those curses. Very upsetting to see fellow citizens driven to such levels.

For the people to be pissed off by some leaders is to be expected. What is important is that all Singaporeans must feel that this is their home and they need to keep their home safe. If Singaporeans are thinking of blowing this home, together with the lives of their fellow country men, it is going to be very troublesome.
ReplyDeleteWinning the hearts and minds of Singapore is definitely winning those of foreigners.
I think anyone who kawi lans with the govt should be arrested and tortured.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the govt and its goons introduce waterboarding soon, and I hope it is broadcasted to scare the be-jesus out of the stubborn population.
Bow to your leaders, you radicals and rebels!
Wow, is this George Orwell's 1984? Or the Cultural Revolution in China?
ReplyDeleteThey are asking communities and families to report suspicious conduct of their kins. The next step they will be urging families to report on their kins for being 'politicalized'. Or for voting opposition candidates!
I never thought that even this great responsibility has now to be delegated to ordinary Singaporeans. What are those, who are paid to do this job, doing? Chasing Dr Chee and white elephants?
Holy smoke! Where are we heading I wonder? That is why I never even want to trust those stooges at community centres.
Is the new pic. that of the SCDF?
ReplyDeleteWow! These guys sure gonna be very busy nowadays with the rate our instant trees are falling all over the island. Hope one don't fall right in the path of my jalopy. Also, they will soon be issued with diving suits when the real monsoon season comes when flooding will be even worst. My toupee off to you guys!
Hehe matilah, you think this is a "Rendition" movie? I think we are very humane and kind to arrestees. I think we use psychological methods to convert radicals that they'll be better off shopping, riding souped up motorbikes, having a good time at the beaches than being naughty with funny ideas.
Don't understand why people would not just enjoy themselves instead of being troublemakers.
How to convince everyone living in this little island that this is a good place for us and we want to keep it that way, keep the people safe and free from the pain and suffering of conflicts that turn many countries in shambles and misery?
ReplyDeleteWe must not turn our country and home into a war zone.

ReplyDelete> Wow, is this George Orwell's 1984? <
Orwell wrote 1984 in 1949 after WW2 and was definitely influenced by the totalitarian systems put into practice during the war for "security" reasons.
Can't remember the exact year the PAP came to power, but when they did they "hunted down" dissidents and the shit hasn't stopped since.
Perhaps it's time for a true-blue heartlander to write a fictional account (must be fiction or you'll be hammered... chances are for "libel") of a crazed decrepit dictator who has a nut-case family and a coterie of "faithfuls" who hang off his every word.
Pakistan and Afghanistan are good examples of how countries can be dragged into war, strifes and terror if we are not careful. Everyone must be mindful to keep this paradise as it is for the good of everyone.
