Xi’s CEO-free delegation at Trump state dinner spotlights strains in US-China business ties

All the hype, pomp and pageantry, Xi arrived and was greeted in person by Trump at the aircraft, with red carpet, an honour rarely offered to any head of state. The Emperor does not greet any leader at the aircraft. He normally stays back in the comfort of his palace, the White House. In a way, Trump finally returned the favour Xi offered to him in Beijing in his previous visits and accepted Xi as an equal in big power politics.
To Xi, this is a reciprocity to Trump's visit earlier in the year, nothing more. There were a lot of high expectations that relations would be better, with more trades and less sanctions. But everyone knows that this is fiction, fantasy. Trump and his rogues have never let a day passed without imposing more sanctions, bans and restrictions on China. Xi noted without saying a word. The whole rigmarole set up by clown Trump was just that. China has seen this happened over and over again and no longer pay any hope in the American thugs and their hypocritical behaviour. The American gangsters will punch you in the face and smile and say we are very good friends. Xi will not have any of that anymore, but will play along with the Americans using their same playbook.
Trump and his clowns are all set to not only decouple from China but to bring down China, to stop China's growth and development in every way possible. Have no doubt about that. All the smiles and niceties coming out from Trump's filthy mouth are filths, not be be taken seriously.
While Trump gathered all the top business honchos to his White House dinner, giving the impression that he wanted more business, Xi did not believe a wee bit in this gesture. Xi's delegation did not have a single business CEO in them. What does this say of the visit? A courtesy call at best.
Xi is telling Trump and his clowns through his actions. No trade. China can do without trade with the Americans, and no pretense. This is just diplomacy and a show, relations with America is just a farce. Xi's only message to Trump is very simple. Both can play the same game. Set the relations right before trade can proceed. You want to fool around, mess around, to pretend to be smiling but holding a dagger behind your back, China can do the same. Until Trump and the Americans are serious in what they say and want good relations with China, relations with America will be superficial.
Trump and his rogues can keep on bashing China, blocking China, attacking China, attacking China's assets and investments around the world, China will take note and quietly take steps to decouple completely from the Americans. All the strategies and plans have been put into action for China to be independent and self sufficient and to do away with America. The world is big enough for China and the rest of the world to live and prosper without the American terrorists.
China no longer needs America. Xi does not need Trump but will just play along with him for as long as the clown thinks he can go on clowning without consequences, and keep on believing that Xi is a fool at his finger tips. China's relations with America is theatric, political, NOT economic and trade. Clown Trump got to get use to a China that no longer trust a single word coming out from him. You want a show, China will reciprocate. China has developed all the technologies it needed and will surpass the Americans in a few years in everything. What is Nvidia, what are AI models and data centres? China is surging ahead in and leaving the American clowns behind.
Let's toast to MAGA and the great America and Trump's circus in Washington. Xi has no delusion about this trip. Xi will go home empty handed for sure and be very happy with it. Trump and his CEOs will also be empty handed and be very happy about it without knowing why. What a great relationship between Trump and Xi, between America and China.
Xi will be happy going home empty handed. I do not think Trump will likewise be happy. Xi is just following diplomacy by taking up the invitation to visit and take that as a fully paid holiday. Trump wants a visit and gets it, probably to boost his November mid-term. It probably backfired. That is the truth that is difficult for Trump's base to digest.
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as the USA bargaining in a position of strength anymore going forward. That is water under the bridge. The USA has never been in a position that it cannot dictate. We are entering an era of a multipolar world, and the USA should realize it and live with it. I know the truth hurts, and it is only a question of whether the USA can handle the truth.
Whatever happens, China will continue to move ahead regardless of whether the USA likes it or not. China has been working for decades to become what it is today knowing that the USA will go all out to prevent China from rising. That is the USA playbook that China has known for more than 250 years.
How many Empires have wanted to remain at its pinnacle over the centuries but failed? The USA thought that with its US$ hegemony, its military might, protected by more than 800 military bases around the world is enough to control any country trying to pose a threat. It worked against Iraq, Libya, Syria, Venezuela and trying its luck with Iran to set another example.
The world is not as simple as forcing countries to comply, like preventing Germany and Japan from overtaking the USA. They depended on the USA market in those days and have no cards to play. Now, the Global South is rising with developments initiated by China and will be a big enough market for Global South countries themselves to survive.
As I always say, the USA can deny its market to other countries like China. But the reality is that what China cannot sell to the USA, it can still sell to the Global South countries. China can sell its manufactured products to the Global South at the same price as it is selling to the USA right now, without tariffs, makes the same margin of profit, keeps its factories busy as usual, selling even quality products that it used to make for the West at bigger profits and is none the worse doing that. So, what exactly is the problem?
Correction. Trump got a pair of pandas. But keep them away from the orange bestiality inclined LOSER.
