The USA is desperate to keep the world fixated on oil, as the world will have to continue to hold US$ to buy the oil. Which is why the USA wants to seize all the oil to maintain the survival of the US$ hegemony. The USA had already seized the Iraqi oilfields, the Venezuelan oilfields, already holds control over the Middle East producers and wants to add Iran to its control.
Qatar is breaking away from OPEC. The USA is not a member of OPEC and wants to see the bloc breaking up, otherwise the bloc controls the pricing by using its members to either increase of decrease supplies. Moreover, oil is now also sold in Yuan by some Middle East oil producers, which is an affront to the US$ hegemony. The USA wants to be in that dominant position as OPEC to dictate the direction of oil prices.
Before Venezuela was robbed of its oil, sales to China were already in Yuan, which was a nail in the de-dollarization coffin. China was also buying oil from Iran in Yuan, a second nail in the US$ coffin. Then, there is Russian oil also sold to China in Yuan. These are not small potatoes chipping away at the US$ hegemony. They are big de-dollarization moves that the USA feared.

Wasn't the deal made by Obama already there to curb the ambitions of Iran to have the nuke? Trump just tore that up to allow the USA and Israel to start this war. If the Obama deal had not be torn apart, it will be a hindrance to Israel and USA to carry out its 28th February attack against Iran.

And Trump is trying to give the impression that he is doing everything he can to forge another deal under his name to stand up to posterity. Is Iran that stupid to swallow the hubris? If one deal can just be tossed aside, what is the point of forging another useless deal when the next President can do the same.
The USA's objective is all about controlling Iranian oil exports to China done outside the US$. The USA put a stop to what Venezuela was also doing. Venezuela was such a tasty piece of cake delivered on a platter, with corrupt elements inside the Venezuelan Government just inviting the USA in to kidnap Maduro who was against the USA. Trump thought that Iran was also going to be a simple catwalk, just four to five days mission. We are now in the fifth month of the conflict with Trump is still talking about forcing Iran to make his deal or the USA will end the Iran standoff once and for all. How many times have we heard that being said. It was all done to manipulate the stock market, that is all.
Oh, lest I forget, Trump has again gloated that a deal between Russia and Ukraine is very close, the closest yet after talking to Putin and Zelenskyy. What has been agreed upon without the two warring parties facing each other? Just hot air from a hot pot. How many twenty-four hours have we been talking about since Trump was inaugurated as President on 20th January 2025? He was supposed to end the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours after taking office.
I guess it is always the same everywhere. Before an election, politicians will promise delivering the star, sun and the moon. After election, all is happily forgotten. Stupidity truly does not have a cure.
