Fat hope about the Arabs wiping out the USA bases. The USA had an iron grip on the testicles of all the Arab leaders. They would not want their massive assets in USA and the West to be seized like the Russians. Moreover, not all of the Saudi royal households will follow together to attack USA bases if that happens, as some of them are hardcore supporters of the USA and eyeing the Saudi throne. This is the USA's bargaining chip in dealing with Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi ruler now.
Having said that, only Iran and the Houthis could do what is necessary with nothing to lose. Which is why the targeting of Iran takes precedence with the USA and the West having no means to hold any of its leader's assets hostage.
The Middle East has no cards to play and is stuck between a rock and a hard place forever.

The Arabs are stuck in a trap set by the USA and the Anglo-Saxon Whites which they can never extricate themselves from. First is pricing oil in US$ and secondly parking their wealth, almost exclusively, in the USA and the West.
ReplyDeleteI do not know what else China has invested in the USA and the West that comes to mind, but the Chinese are starting to do the right thing to sell off USA treasuries. China now holds just about 50% of USA treasuries compared to two years ago or so.
Other than that, China should also refrain from investing in building factories inside the USA that could be confiscated just like Nexperia in the Netherlands. One thing China can still do is using the Nexperia experience of building a shell head office overseas, while keeping the manufacturing logistics at home, which is the more important component of the set up and which cannot be seized.
