Trump professes to want peace in Ukraine but is already starting a new war in the Middle East against the Houthis, intending to drag Iran into the turmoil. I think many people have been fooled by Trump's conman tactics trying to show that he is different from Biden and pulling back USA military adventurism, just in Ukraine.
As I always say, any USA President, whether from Democrats or Republicans camps are just the right and left arm of the Deep State and can never have a mindset of trying to be a peaceful country.
In the recent past, fighting communism was the narrative which was what the Korean and Vietnam Wars were all about. With the rise of China, under a communist regime, the arguments about the failure of communism held no water.
When Russia and China discarded their communism expansion doctrine, the USA started a new narrative of fighting terrorism which resulted in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Communism was then thrust into the back burner, never to be a justifiable reason for wars.
Now the Wars in Ukraine is about revisiting the threat from Russia, accusing the Russians of trying to claim back territories it lost when the Soviet Union broke up. The reality is the exact opposite, with NATO discreetly trying to expand towards the Russian border. What happened in Ukraine goes much further back than just February 2022, when Russia liberated the Donbass region, when Russian speaking citizens went under intense persecution by the Kyiv Regime of Zelenskyy.
The USA is stoking the fire in the South China Sea now, intending to ignite another conflict with China.
Any man of peace does not go around starting wars all over the world. Trump is no different from any former USA Presidents, just using the same old USA playbook and intent on having never ending wars to sustain the USA hegemonic agenda.

USA under Trump is going to pay a horrible price for all the delusional policies that he is espousing.
ReplyDeleteTrump is not going to change the manufacturing landscape in the USA with just four years of his presidency to play around with. In fact, the start of the unravelling of his policies is already taking shape.
And just how delusional some people really are when talking about inflation coming back. It is a no brainer to even have to suggest that inflation is rising when everything points to more expensive imports for USA consumers. The choice for USA consumers is either paying for the tariffs on imports from China especially or having to pay for importing more expensive substitutes from Europe, Japan, Mexico and Canada that have retaliated with reciprocal tariffs on the USA. The USA is in no position to produce all the consumer products that it needs tomorrow, next week, or even next year. It takes years from setting up factories, procuring raw materials, training workers before anything can be produced in the USA.
Trump is just blowing hot air as always, just like gloating about ending the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. Trump is again threatening Russia with more sanctions if he cannot end the Ukraine War. Perhaps this is a dent on his hope of garnering the Nobel Peace Prize that he is coveting. Wonder how many really take him seriously in everything that comes out of his braggart mouth.
Manufacturing is not going to rise in the USA just like magic. Not tomorrow, next week or even within the next five years, far longer than even when his four-year term is over. Of course, his MAGA base will swallow his every word, but when reality strikes, it is they who are going to suffer.
It is really better for Trump to destroy the USA internally than for an external enemy to create global destruction. Go, Donny go and do the world a favor.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what Trump is doing. And the American hillbillies are behaving just like the frogs being boiled to death, happily or ignorantly.
ReplyDeleteSomeone really said that Trump is a Russian Asset. The way he is behaving does make sense of the comment.
DeleteThe USA had been living in denial for decades, not realizing the world is passing them by. The USA pretends that it is still the leader to be followed by the rest of the world, just by keeping innovations from outside the USA from competing against its too big to fail entities. It is like giving them a wheelchair to move around and expecting them to run in the Olympics competing against others.
ReplyDeleteDenial and pretensions have left the USA floundering in EVs, shipbuilding, infrastructures, high-speed-rails, space exploration, manufacturing and now in aviation and AI as well. Keeping out competition by erecting tariffs is going to do more harm than good for its EV, semiconductor and AI sectors in particular. They were now left in shock and awe with the likes of BYD (not to mention may other Chinese EV makers), Huawei, DJI and DeepSeek and needing sanctions and tariffs to keep these out of the USA. For how long?
Preventing competition does not encourage innovation, which is why USA manufacturing is unable to make things cheaper than others. Trying to erect hurdles and handicapping others with sanctions and tariffs is not going to make USA industries more competitive. As they say, blowing out someone else's candle is not going to make the USA candle shine more brightly.
